Want to get Bernie elected? You have to make sure he gets chosen as the Democratic Nominee, so he can be on the ballot in the General Election in November. That means, you have to vote for him in the primaries. Young people have NOTORIOUSLY low voter turnout. Buck the stereotypes. Make your voice heard. Decisions are made by those who show up.
PRIMARY (aka ELECTION DAY) - TUESDAY, MARCH 15
ONLY 17? THAT’S OKAY! As long as you’ll be 18 by the General Election (Nov 8), you can vote in the NC Primary!
Put this date on your calendar! Put a reminder on your phone! The morning of, CALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, make sure their butts are out of bed. <3 <3 <3 Pester people on Facebook. If you’re in college, write it on the boards of empty classrooms. Most Democratic Millennials support Bernie. Most Democratic Millennials also don’t vote.
Early voting in North Carolina begins March 3 and ends on March 12. North Carolina has same-day registration during the early voting period, so even if you’re not yet registered to vote, you can still vote for Bernie!

Here’s a testimonial from tumblr user @ashikai on the importance of your vote in these primaries. It’s the latest I’ve heard in a string of cases of a candidate winning by a few, or one, votes. Your vote matters.
Ok, seriously tho. This was my first caucus ever and I cannot stress how important it is to show up! TWENTY PEOPLE showed up for my town, plus SEVEN absentee ballots, ok? That’s 27 people. The same size of a normal public school classroom (maybe a little smaller).
When it came time to vote, Bernie won, 22-5 with no undecideds and secured 2 delegates as a result. These aren’t massive numbers people; your vote can and DOES make the difference, especially on a small scale like this.
