how’s everyone doing?

sorry for not being around. a combo of busy work, birthday week, and a new blog kept me bouncing to and fro. i’m not used to such a huge fandom so maybe i’ll think of mains to keep me grounded? it’s possible.

my friend gifted me with the Luke Skywalker from the Black figure Titanium collection so that’s cool. he can join his niece Jaina Solo.

She was perceptive. He felt exposed underneath her gaze like he was standing underneath a full moon. The explorer in him had yearned to venture out to a world uncharted to his star-searching eyes - a reprieve from the burdens of his destiny.

He recognized the same eyes in her face. “We are weighted by our destinies. To know who we are and where we’re going is a heavy burden.”

       As much as Amilyn loved the vastness of the galaxy, and all its planets and stars waiting to be explored, no planet was as beautiful in her eyes as Gatalenta. In the recent years, she had learned to appreciate its tranquility, the beauty of the sunsets, the beautiful blue oceans and even the simple red cloaks.

          A gentle breeze carried the sound of wind chimes through the air; in the distance, she could hear the waves rolling towards the shore. She had shared her favourite spot to meditate with Luke early when he arrived to research the Jedi Knights of old, and it was where she usually found him when she was looking.

       “Enjoying the sunsets all by yourself?” she asked, as she walked up to him, hand outstretched to run her fingers through his hair, looking up to watch the last three of their five suns set on the horizon, painting the sky in various shades of red and pink.

Sunsets were a consistent point of meditation for the Jedi master. As a farmboy he’d look up at the twin suns as they heralded in the three moons and the evening stars - a signaling of the end of a day on the farm. There was something mesmerizing about Gatalenta’s many suns - a like calling of like.

It became a ritual to sit and meditate upon the suns. Their unchanging pattern and the sound of the waves and wind-chimes lulled him into a sense of peace. He was grateful to Amilyn for sharing her spot with him. The tranquility of the planet gave him a chance to refresh and rest. 

He tilted his head lightly back a content smile on his face. “I wouldn’t object to company.” His blue eyes lit with fondness and care.

He chuckles a bit at his family joke. Any other family would look shocked at him and Mara’s sense of humor. It had shaped them into the people they were meant to be. Their meeting and eventual union could only be described as fate. He didn’t want to think of his daughter dating already.

In all seriousness he takes her hands and looks her in the eye. She looked so much like her mother.  “Don’t let them take advantage of you. I had my share of bad luck with girls before I got together with your mother. Sometimes it’s someone that you least expect. Give it time. I don’t want to let go of my little girl just yet.”
