David nodded, because the explanation worked. It made sense after all, to defeat something dark, light was needed. He was surprised that Regina had been the one to do so, although he really shouldnât have been. With her near 360 turn around in the past few months, she had become family to them. She had truly changed, and no one knew that better than he and Snow had. No one had witnessed such a drastic change in her, because they knew the Evil Queen just as well as they knew this Regina. The one that was offering to help him.
âHe doesnât cry too much yet, luckily. Of course, I say that and heâll wake up screaming soon, so I probably shouldnât.â David said with a slight chuckle, dropping the subject of the Wicked Witch. It didnât matter, so long as she couldnât harm them anymore. That was what truly mattered; the safety of his family. âBut he never seems to sleep at the right time. Up all night and down all day.â
David couldnât help the small smile at that, nodding his head. âHe is.â He couldnât help but be proud, revel in his son. He wasnât entirely responsible; after all, Snow was a part of him too, and in his mind, a much better part. He wouldnât say that aloud though, the painful thought too much for him to voice. âI should probably let him sleep alone for a bit, but â- itâs pretty stupid, but I feel like nothing can happen to him if Iâm here. Paranoid, I guess.â Of course, why he was sharing this with Regina, even he didnât know. He could blame it on lack of sleep, the utter exhaustion creeping through his bones. Still, it was the truth. Even if the wicked witch was gone, there was always some threat out there, something theyâd have to face sooner or later.
