grace blinks and clenches her jaw. weird. no â grace knew what weird meant. â i â â she did. she needed food with her meds and when she didnât do either, she did get weird. she got irritable, but clingy. not something emma needed to deal with right now. â donât say that âcause i know you mean crazy. âÂ
no â grace would keep this conversation about emma. emma was who               she was worried about. grace takes the sandwich and follows the blonde,               â i â i know itâs easier, but, but, if you â if you keep it all in em, you â â grace                shakes her head, â youâre not â you wonât feel good ever and â and you just                need to get it out like, like, like a big cough that youâve been holdinâ in or                somethinâ. you need to talk about it. let me help. â
âGrace, you know I didnât mean it like that.â  Maybe she did, actually.  It wasnât often that she slipped up when talking to Grace about her non-medicated self.  It was a touchy subject, and even one slip up would shift Graceâs composure.  They walked down the hall and up the stairs as Grace stumbled through her words.  She tried, that was what mattered, but sometimes it was hard to follow her.  Well, for anyone that wasnât Emma.    âItâs nothing you need to worry about.  Itâs nothing that can be changed,â Emma brushed her fingertips over the rail leading up to the roof access door, âHeâs gone and she acts like sheâs got nothing left to live for.  Itâs been like this for... a while.â  She pushed open the door and closed her eyes against the sun.  Too bright for a mind muddling through the dark.
