Who plays Sims 3 and uses mods?
I can’t get the ones I downloaded to work. None. At all.
I’ve followed the instructions to get S3 to read the .package files, but nothing happens.
I also don’t have an “EA Games” but “Origin”, which I don’t think should make a difference, but maybe it does???
It shouldn't make a difference, did you try this? http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Installing_Sims_3_Package_Files/Setup_and_Files It looks more complicated than it is, basically download the zip they have on that page, unzip it and throw the "mods" folder and everything in it into my documents>electronic arts>sims 3
Inside the "mods" folder there's a "packages" folder, all your cc .packages go in there. Make sure your game is patched as well, if your game is a fresh install with no patches this method won't work until you patch it.

Aww, that's a shame. Hopefully you can enjoy your game now you've stopped creating though. You've made some lovely things and shared them with the community, it seems unfair that you don't get to enjoy playing anymore. Even just housebuilding can get boring, so I can image content creating puts you off opening the game as well.

Awesome mod lets you layer makeup. If you have it, press ctrl+shift+c to open the cheat box, then type in "setconfig enabledebugcommands true" and hit enter, followed by ctrl+shift+c to open the cheat box again and type in "allowmultiwear on" and press enter. I think there's a way to do it with one of twallan's mods too, but not sure about that one.
So, Monte Vista seems nice...
I set up my sim in Monte Vista and she got burgled shortly afterwards, fortunately the burglar ran off without taking anything. The next day, a neighbour called asking her to adopt a puppy, so I sent her over to find that her neighbour is also a burglar(wearing the outfit at least). Oh well, not the same one, so she bought a puppy and left. Then a few days later she got a harvesting opportunity and when she delivered the produce, this was the recipient...
...What with this and all the men in Shang Simla walking around in their pants, I'm starting to think my game might have a clothing glitch >.>

Anyways, some advice? I’ve tried over and over to get one of my male Sims pregnant. I’ve reloaded and reloaded, and he’s been abducted too many times to count, but still no pregnancy. Could this have to do with the fact that he’s a supernatural? (vampire, to be specific) I had no trouble getting a human male Sim pregnant.
It's non-occults only :'( you can probably find a mod that lets non-humans get impregnated though.

I can't tell if this is recent or old, but you can download them without signing up for anything, it's just complicated. So, even if you have it already, here's how to dowload from rayfile(which will help you with other creators who upload there too):
-click the rayfile link: http://www.rayfile.com/zh-cn/files/248469eb-020e-11e0-af30-0015c55db73d/
-Press the red button
-on the page that opens ignore the big blue buttons and click the top one of the two paler blue small buttons with a green down arrow on it
-an advert will open in a new page/tab, let it load fully then go back to the previous page and click the pale blue button again, it'll start the download. If you take to long to click the pale blue button again, it'll open another ad, just ignore it and click the pale blue button again.
It sounds incredibly confusing and it's a bit easier if you use google chrome and let it auto-translate the pages, but it's useful to know as a lot of creators using the sina.com blogs seem to use rayfile for their uploads.
