Stricklake Month week 1: Hero/Villain
Had to do a roll reversal for Stricklake. Trollhunter Walt and changeling Barbara. Heâs obviously distracted by her beauty is why heâs so beat up.

One of the moments of Draal's life in Jim's basement
Some father-son relationship in an AU where Strickler adopts Jim when he was a baby and raises him along with Barbarađđ

"My mom is a fairy princess!"
Seeing the Gru family for a couple of seconds made my entire dayđ„čâ€ïž God I missed them
đ€
Iâm crying. đ„čđ„čđđ
There's just something about this early concept of Lucy for Despicable Me 2 cuz she was originally supposed to be a lot more silly and have a silly dog too - she was supposed to be just opposite of Gru, that's all her personality was supposed to be. Luckily they changed her to be more of a "new character that Gru eventually falls in love with" instead of "Gru's love interest". I don't even see what would make him fall in love with her if she was just like this, they changed her for better and added more layers to her character. Now she's one of my favourite characters ever because she genuinely doesn't feel like a love interest, she feels like a part of the franchise.

Missed our parentsđ
So I was bored and decided to list my favorite movies (in no particular order)
part 1/?:
1. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty:
Amazing movie about self immersion, stepping outside the comfort zone and finding out that real life can be as exciting as the life you daydream about. Iâve watched this movie at least 15 times.
2. The Grand Budapest Hotel:Â
CAPTIVATING. Is all I have to say about this movie. Wes Andersen did a great job (as always). For those in love with pastel tones and good aesthetic. Zero is the kind of character you want to bring to the real world just so you can give him a hug. Also, the cast is perrrrrrrrrrfect
3. Marie Antoinette:
I love the way Sofia Coppola gave her a background because we think of Marie Antoinette as that bitch and portraying her as the hero was very daring and turned out to be an amazing AMAZING movie. Love it. (Also pink hair, flowers and that little cottage is all I want from life)
4. The Great Gatsby:
Leo will always have my heart. Itâs the first movie with a sad ending that I liked. And the explosion of colors, the costumes, the drama, itâs a beautiful picture. You might have noticed that I love aesthetically beautiful movies. This is definitely one of the most beautiful ever.Â
5. The Greatest Showman:
I love musicals. And choreographed dances. And Hugh Jackman (Les Mis should be on this list). I loved seeing this in the movies with my family, it was magical on the big screen. The choreography was my favorite thing about the movie, specially Michelle Williams dance with this flowy dress. And seeing the iconic Troy Bolton all grown up had me tearing up a little bit.
6. PRIDE!!! AND PREJUDICE!!!:
The book is the on that got me into reading classic books other than just YA lit. It makes me so sad when I see people saying that this movie isnât good becaus, in fact, it isnât good, itâs a MASTERPIECE. Keria should have won an Oscar for her performance.
7. Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amélie Poulain:
this movie is so soft and at the same time so deep. It made me want to get out of the couch and go live my life. It is one of the loveliest movies in the world. You start recognizing pieces of yourself in each character and they become part of your life, you want to take care and protect all of them. My future two daughter will definitely be named after Amelie and Elizabeth Bennet.
8. Thor Ragnarok:
DO NOT JUDGE ME FOR THIS ONE
but Iâm a big fan of superhero movies and Thor is my favorite of all. And not because of his looks (but because of that too) but thor has had such an amazing development since his first movie, I love his arrogant version from the beginning of the franchise and how he became lovely and humored and even when he struggled (heâs the one who suffered the most in this universe) he was still loyal and committed to his loved ones and everyone who needed him. In this specific move Thor is for what heâs been unintentionally preparing to: become the king. (Thanks Russos for ruining that)
9. Aladdin:
Before you judge me for this one too: HAVE YOU WATCHED IT? I love the animated version, I too have an emotional attachment to it but I love innovations and seeing the story we all already love in âreal lifeâ, with real people, real clothes, âreal animalsâ, real scenery made me daydream about it, and let me tell you (pls donât kill me) I loved it even more than the original. IN MY OPINION Will Smithâs Genie (pls donât kill me again) was better (All respect to Robin, RIP), Mena Massoud was CAPTIVATING in every scene! Naomi owned it! It has itâs flaws and inaccuracies but nothing that would ruin the movie (at least for me) and I already have a post tallking about this movie bc I have too many opinions on it.
10. Mamma Mia!:
this movie brings so many memories. My mom loves it, and I remember buying her the DVD on motherâs day and every time we cleaned the house we would put on the movie and sing and dance while cleaning, and she and I usually daydream about my wedding, we want it to be in greece, with the mamma mia decoration and Amanda Seyfiredâs dress. I love this move. I love the sequel. I love everything Maryl Streep does. And I love the way I always think about my mom when I watch it. (Mom is alive thank god, in case I talked like she isnât)Â
also Iâm impressed by how exotic my taste in movies is, going from french cinema to superhero moviesâŠ. idk, I just love them all
tell me what you guys think, if you agree or not, tell me what other movies I should watch. Just talk to me, Iâm nice, I promise.Â
