Hi. I'm Babi (pronounce is bah-bee) or Yamato, I'm a genderfluid pronounflux aromantic lesbian, autistic, pagan, brazilian and use the pronouns on my bio. I write and draw sometimes, but it's not good and I probably won't take asks unless I'm really into it, sorry. Hate asks will be ignored and block, so don't waste your time with that. This is my main blog.
Please don't let money decide whether my mother gets a chance at treatment.
Every day her condition grows worse, and we are left feeling helpless because we are missing just $500 to pay for the care she urgently needs.
There is nothing more painful than watching your mother suffer while knowing the treatment exists, but being unable to reach it because you cannot afford it.
Please don't pass by our plea in silence. If you are able to help, this is the moment my mother needs your compassion the most.
Just 10 people giving $50 each would cover what we still need. Your donation today could give my mother a real chance to receive the treatment she has been waiting for.
Ahmed's family is holding on to hope, but time is running out.
If you can help, please donate now.
Every contribution could bring their mother closer to the treatment she needs.

Hello, I'm Sharif Al-Amoudi from Gaza. I'm married and have twins, Hussam and Ahmed, who are five months old. They were born after four attempts at artificial insemination. My wife and I came to Egypt in June for the IVF procedure, and she became pregnant, but we were stranded in Egypt after the war. I was employed in Gaza, and my wife was a mathematics teacher. Now we have no income after everything was destroyed. My twins were born in April, and one of them (Ahmed) has two holes in his heart and also suffers from optic nerve damage as a result of being in the neonatal intensive care unit.
He was given artificial oxygen and needs special care, surgery, and numerous treatments at great expense. He now needs special milk and medication. I also suffer from a slipped disc and cannot work hard in Egypt. I need surgery that costs 2000 euros. I live in a rented apartment that costs me 200 euros a month. You are our only hope. Please help me for the sake of my children. 💔🙏🍉
sharif alamoudi Needs Your Help | Hello, I am Sharif Al-Amoudi from Gaza. I am married and have five-month-old twin boys, Hossam and Ahmed,
I write to you with a heavy heart 💔 My children and I are going through very difficult times, and no one is asking about us. My son needs treatment and medication, and he needs milk, diapers, and urgent care. Please don't leave us alone in these difficult circumstances. 😔
My name is Adham, and before the war, I lived a simple but happy life. I worked as a driver with my own car, earning an honest living by taking people where they needed to go. It wasn't a luxurious life, but it was enough. I was proud that I could provide for myself and look toward the future with hope.
Shortly before the war began, I got married. My wife and I dreamed of building a peaceful life together, but those dreams were shattered almost overnight.
The war took everything from us. Our home was destroyed, and the car that was my only source of income was lost. In a matter of days, I went from being able to support my family to having nothing.
Today, my wife and I live in a tent. Even the small piece of land where our tent stands is not free, and the landowner asks us to pay rent every month. We struggle every day to find food, clean water, and the basic necessities of life.
My name is Adham, and before the war, I lived a simple but happy life. I worked as a driver with my own car, earning an honest living by tak
As if losing everything wasn't enough, I was seriously injured during the war. A bullet struck my chest, and it still remains inside my body. I need surgery to remove it, but the operation costs far more than I could ever afford. Every day I live with pain and uncertainty, knowing that I cannot pay for the treatment I need.
I also had a fundraising campaign in the past, but unfortunately, I never received the support that was collected for me because I was deceived by the person managing the campaign. After that painful experience, I am now searching for a trustworthy person who can help me create and manage a new fundraising campaign so I can finally receive the support my family urgently needs.
I am asking for your help with humility and hope. Whether you can help by creating a fundraiser, donating, or simply sharing my story, your support could truly change our lives. Your kindness will help us cover our basic living expenses, pay the rent for the land where our tent stands, buy food and other essentials, and, most importantly, give me a chance to receive the surgery I desperately need.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story and for standing with my family during the hardest time of our lives. Your kindness gives us hope that we are not alone.
No donation is too small. If you are unable to donate, sharing my story or helping me find someone who can safely organize a fundraising campaign would mean the world to us.
Apparently some people still need to hear this so: using an 'ai checker' is still using ai. If you are feeding someone's fic to one of these checkers, you will still not be sure their fic is ai because they are not 100% accurate, but you can be 100% sure that you are using ai. For fic. Furthermore you are doing the work of an ai scraper for them. You are, personally, feeding the machine. There is no actual excuse for using an ai checker on fanfic as a hobby. YOU are the problem.
If you think a fic is ai, mute it and move on. That's it. That's all you do.
The first time I received student work that I was pretty sure was AI, I fed it to a couple AI checkers and the results ranged from like 91% to 12% likelihood of AI use. Those things do not work. Granted that was like 2 years ago and I’m sure the detection technology has improved, but the AI language generation has also improved.
Oh my God, what happened to him? He was going to buy some sweets. He was so excited because he hadn't tasted them in months. I saw him going, his face beaming with joy. He couldn't believe it. On his way, the killers of children and women bombed a house near him. His joy and smile were stolen. He suffered several head injuries, resulting in a concussion. He is now in intensive care and will undergo surgery; it's a matter of life or death.
What did this innocent child do to deserve this? What did his smile do to deserve being stolen by child killers? This is genocide. They don't care about children, women, or the elderly. They have no conscience, no humanity. Youssef suffered multiple fractures in his limbs and now needs your support. He is an orphan; his father was killed at the beginning of the war, and he has no one but his mother. I implore you to provide quick and urgent support for Youssef's recovery. Please, Youssef needs $900. Please donate anything, even $5, $10, or $20. It could save the life of an orphaned child. Please don't hesitate to help him. It's a matter of life or death. Please donate. 💔😭😭

WHILE THE WORLD SPEAKS ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS, THIS IS THE REALITY.
For more than two and a half years, you have stood by me through some of the hardest moments of my life. Your support, your words, and your kindness helped us keep going when we were close to breaking. Because of you, we were able to hold on, and I will never forget that.
But the truth is, our story is not over yet.
We have lost everything, our home, our source of income, and the stability we once had. It feels like we are not just starting from zero, but trying to rise from below it.
Now things are even harder with my father’s illness. He needs ongoing care and treatment, while we are facing a complete lack of income. Even covering our basic daily needs has become a real struggle.
We are doing everything we can to stay strong, but we cannot do it alone anymore.
I am not asking for much, just for you to stand by us as you always have. Any support, no matter how small, can make a real difference. It can help us cover my father’s treatment, provide our basic needs, and help us keep going.
And if you are unable to donate, simply sharing our story could help it reach someone who can.
Thank you for being there for us and for not leaving us alone.

Please, we urgently need 700€ for emergency surgery for my nephew. His health has deteriorated significantly; he is now in a coma and unconscious, suffering greatly. Time is running out, and every moment is crucial for him.
My nephew is his parents' only child. He lost his father in this genocide in the Gaza Strip and suffered multiple traumas during this war. He has already had one operation and now needs another. Please don't leave him alone. Donate towards his operation. I don't want to lose him like I lost my mother and brother. Please donate, donate!
If anything happens to my nephew, please remember that I begged you to donate, even a small amount, or to share my post. I will not forgive anyone who sees this post and doesn't support me with a single word or a small donation, and ignores me.💔
Someone has donated €50, but we still need €650 to cover the cost of my nephew's surgery. I swear we need your help; my nephew is suffering terribly right now. Please, every moment of delay could cost him his life. This is a life-or-death surgery—please don't let him die. You are our only hope. Please, please donate.💔😭
Several people have donated a total of 90 euros, but we still need 560 euros to cover the cost of my nephew's surgery. We still need your help; my nephew is in a very critical condition. Please, every moment of delay could cost him his life. Please don't let him die. You are our only hope—please, please donate. We are getting very close to our goal; please donate. 💔
Someone has donated 10 euros, and we now need only 550 euros more for my nephew's surgery. I hope that anyone reading this will not ignore my plea; I am asking for your help today because I fear that tomorrow I might lose my nephew before the operation can take place. Please donate—do not let us down. Your contribution will help save my nephew's life. Please, please donate. 💔😭
If you care, we still need 500 euros for my nephew's surgery; he is in a very bad state. I have said this so many times, and I am terrified something terrible might happen to him. Please don't let us down—please, please donate. 😭💔
Everyone, tomorrow is the deadline for the surgery. Someone has donated €100, but we still need €400 to go ahead with it. Please, don't let us down—please donate. I don't want my nephew to die; I swear this is a life-or-death surgery. Please, please donate. 💔😭
No one has donated yet, and we still need 400 euros. I swear I will not forgive anyone who sees these words and ignores me; I don't want my nephew to die. Please donate. 😭😭😭💔
Someone has donated €50, but we still need €350 for my nephew's surgery. The deadline for the procedure is just 16 hours away. Please, don't let us down—please donate, please donate. 💔😭
Oh God, there are only 11 hours left, and we still need 300 euros for the surgery. Please, save us! I don't want my nephew to miss his appointment; if the surgery doesn't happen, his condition will become critical. Please donate—I will never forgive you if any harm comes to him. 💔😭

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
Whatttt is with the tendency of Tumblr users to seek absolution from every single person who offhandedly posts about disagreeing with something they do
I say this not unkindly, but firmly: to function as a member of a social species, you have to get comfortable with the idea that not everyone will like you
Plz don't ignore us. With your support and donations, our message of humanity reaches the world and every kind-hearted soul. Every act of kindness gives our family hope and brings us one step closer to rebuilding our lives. ❤️🙏
I do it a lot here anyway, but allow me a moment to get on my archivist soapbox because this is not only cool af but important too.
The US National Archives (and this may certainly apply to other countries but this post is about this specific institution) has a lot of material. And that may seem like an obvious statement, but what I mean to say here is that it has a lot of unprocessed material.
“Processing”, in the archive world, is the word we use to mean “organizing the collection materials in a way that makes sense and describing the collection so people know what’s there”. Essentially, processing a collection or material is what makes it accessible to researchers. Think about how you organize yourself or your space. Most of the time when we acquire material we get it exactly how the creator kept it, which is ranges from neat as a pin to literal garbage dump, but mostly falls into the middle area of somewhat organized but also not really. Processing gives the archivist “intellectual control” (we go through everything so we now know exactly what’s in the collection) and gives researchers something to look at that’s a lot more manageable.
But, like I said, the National Archives has a lot of material. Which at this point includes a massive backlog. So what they have done, with the advent of the internet, is turned to crowdsourcing. (Using a large group of volunteers over the internet to accomplish more than the few people who work for the archive can do, and/or using group knowledge and skills that they don’t have to their advantage. Wikipedia or any fandom wiki is an example of crowdsourcing.) This is a long process, because anything they put up has to be digitized first, and that is not as easy as it sounds. I won’t rant here, but it’s time consuming, labor intensive, and in some cases not even feasible with the material.
Anyway, the National Archives crowdsources through a program that they call “citizen archivists”. It’s something that’s free and obligationless, it’s totally voluntary and you do things like add tags to pictures, transcribe documents that are handwritten or otherwise not word-searchable, and add comments about things that are missing information or context.
The reason I bring this up is because they have divided the work into what they call “missions”, basically just categories of material to work on. They have a new one that’s just been made public (likely because they finally got the digitization completed) that is a large collection of pictures consisting of Native subjects, and they need help tagging them.
So if you feel antsy and need something to do or you feel down and you want something positive, consider helping out the National Archives. Because the work the citizen archivists do makes the materials more accessible to the public, and ultimately to any and all future researchers out there.
I sincerely ask everyone who reads this post not to scroll past in silence. 🙏
I am both a mother and a father to my children, doing everything I can to protect their future after we lost so much.
Right now, my greatest concern is covering my daughter's education expenses so her dreams don't disappear because of war and poverty.
If you can't donate, please consider sharing my post. It may reach someone who can help. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, truly makes a difference in our lives.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who stands with us and gives us hope. ❤️
