Once, we had a home of our own and dreams for the future. I was so happy imagining my children growing up together under one roof, surrounded by love, safety, and the life we had built.

Today, our lives have been reduced to tents made of thin fabric that cannot protect us from the scorching summer heat or the freezing winter cold. This is not the life we chose—it is the reality that war forced upon us.

After all the rubble of our home was cleared away, my biggest dream became something so simple: to build a small, proper tent where my family and I can live with a little dignity and protection.

But in Gaza, even building a tent has become impossible for someone in my financial situation.

Five minutes stood between us... between escape and certain death.

Just a few hours ago, there was no time to be afraid or even to speak. There was only time to run.

We were given five minutes to evacuate. Then, a warplane missile tore through the area. The worst part is that we are living in fragile tents that can barely withstand the scorching summer heat—let alone a missile. We were in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, only a few dozen meters away from the strike.

The terror I witnessed with my own eyes is beyond what any camera could ever capture. The faces of frightened children, the screams of mothers, shattered dreams scattered among the tents, and the overwhelming fear for your own family...

Even the tent is no longer a place of safety. 💔

How much longer will we and our children have to live in fear? How much longer will we be forced to flee from one place to another, losing everything we have?

Even the tents are no longer safe. We were just about to sleep when another evacuation order came. I watched people running in every direction, carrying their children and helping the elderly. It was a scene beyond words.

As I walked, I looked around at what had become of us. Children were crying, and even the adults could no longer hold back their tears. Then, suddenly, a missile struck, killing a mother and her children. There are no words that can describe such pain.

As for us, the explosions tore apart our tents and scattered the few belongings we had left. Thank God we are still alive, but we have lost even the last place where we sought shelter.

We are not asking for the impossible. We only want our children to live in safety and to have a place where they can sleep without waking up to the sound of bombs or evacuation orders.

Is what we're living through real... or is it a nightmare that never ends?

Sometimes I feel like what we're going through in Gaza cannot possibly be real. I tell myself that maybe I'll wake up soon, find my home just as it was, return to the life that was taken from me, and realize that all of this was only a terrifying nightmare.

But every day I open my eyes to the same reality... no home, no safety, no peace, and a tent that offers no protection from the scorching summer heat or the freezing winter cold.

Today, the heat was so unbearable that I felt like my soul was leaving my body from sheer exhaustion. My body can no longer endure it, and my heart no longer knows how to keep carrying this weight.

We are not numbers in the news. We are human beings exhausted by war, hoping for the day we wake up to a normal life instead of another day spent simply trying to survive. 💔🇵🇸

Every day in Gaza feels more unbearable than the one before. Living inside a tent under the scorching heat, surrounded by insects that leave painful bites and skin infections, with so little food, clean water, and almost no medicine, has become a nightmare.
