Rose pursed her lips a bit confused at the abrupt ending of the call. “How’re y’even gonna know where I am in this blasted building?” she hissed into the dead phone. “Better question, how am I gonna know you?!”
It was useless, the voice on the other end was gone. She was on her own again and needed to get moving before there was any real trouble. The voice said ten minutes, and that’s all the time she had to get to the lobby.
She slunk out of the door to the darkened office, pressing her back against the wall and slowly crept along until she found the stairs. Now, that’s where the fun really began. Rose was a good runner, but an even better free runner at that. And stairs? She was going to make them her bitch.
It took her all of nine minutes to dash down the several dozen flights, skipping a few floors by jumping between landings. When she finally reached the ground floor she was flushed, but not out of breath. Not yet.
The squeal of tires on the pavement alerted her that someone new was in the mix. She’d gamble it was her ride. Kicking the door open she came face to face with a rather young looking guard.
“Hands in the air!” he cried. Rose only smiled sweetly and complied. “Come out here where I can see you, miss.”
Rose did as requested until she was close enough, but not too close. That’s when a round-house kick to his face came, knocking him out. He’d had one hell of a headache in a few hours, but otherwise, he’d live.
And then it was time to gamble. Either the van out front was her ticket to freedom, or it was a trap.
“Only one way t’be sure,” she muttered to herself, dashing forward and crashing through the glass doors toward her possible exit.

Iris had little doubt she’d be able to find the mysterious caller by the simplest logic: it would probably be the woman in the biggest hurry. How the other should know her? Well, that question hadn’t occurred to the nun. She wasn’t the most practiced when it came to that much forethought, the young american girl tended to live in the now. It was simplest that way. The door hinge squeaked but it wasn’t the only sound to be heard under the sodium streetlights of the warf. Iris was ready to bolt right back into the van again, she was quick, years of endurance running her whole life gave her that, but she was ill equipped for combat and hampered by her ankle length habit. And the sound coming from the tall building to her left was muted, distant, and sounded like trouble.
She was only a few steps from the passenger door when the glass suddenly spayed outward from the impact of the body. Without looking back she bolted for the van’s passenger door, ripped it open and slid across the seats. Both feet slammed down on the clutch and break, heart catching sickening when the gear shift caught briefly between park and reverse. “Shit! Get in already!” she snapped a the person who’d fled through the glass door. She had no idea if the person could hear her or not, or if it was the woman from the mysterious phone call but one thing was certain, she did not want to be in this part of town any longer tonight. Things had just taken a turn for the ugly and they’d done it fast.

“I dunno who you are, or how y’got this number, but you’re the last chance I’ve got. They haven’t seen me yet, so there’s still time. How quickly can y’get to Canary Wharf?”

“Hello? I just picked up the receiver, Canary Wharf? That’s in Tower Hamlet’s. Give me... ten minutes.” The young nun looked at the pay phone oddly before carefully setting it back in the damaged and graffitied cradle. Not even the the church property was immune to petty vandalism it seemed. There wasn’t time to wonder who had left it to hang with someone on the line, the woman she’d spoken to had sounded like she’d been in real trouble. The girl’s pulse quickened eagerly as she slipped into the church van she didn’t technically have permission to operate especially in the country, fumbled with the unfamiliar dash a moment before finding the key the sister had left hidden (predictably) in the center console. Almost exactly ten minutes after the termination of the call the van’s tires were squealing on pavement. The nun was flushed and smiling, a few hairs escaping her headdress evidence of the less than safe or legal commute but she was cautious after opening the door. Adventure was wonderful, breaking rules moreso, being murdered was not.

horror plots based on songs by the beatles
Why Don’t We Do It In the Road “No one will be watching us, why don’t we do it in the road.” Muse A and Muse B decide to take a cross-country road trip, stopping randomly in the desert to camp for the night. They set up their tents, they stargaze. After talking about it, Muse B brings up the idea of them being intimate in the desert, reminding Muse A, nobody’s around. Don’t worry. But skulking down the road is a knife wielding sociopath, out for blood.
Hello Little Girl “You never seem to see me standing there. I often wonder what you’re thinking of. Is it me and love?” Muse A is a beautiful, brilliant student who has, unfortunately for them, caught the attention of Muse B, a transfer student who only recently just started at the university. Not much is known about Muse B other than the fact they’re new and relatively quiet. Muse A takes it upon them-self to show Muse B around, a gesture misconstrued as romantic affection. Muse B begins to obsess, and eventually kidnaps Muse A.
I Saw Her Standing There “When I saw her standing there, well she looked at me, and I, I could see that before too long I’d fall in love with her.” Muse A attends a house party, where Muse B stands but goes unnoticed by Muse A. After everything is said and done, Muse A returns home to find a note on their car, explaining how beautiful they were and how Muse B (though unidentified by the note) cannot wait to hold their hand. Muse A mostly shrugs it off and goes about their life. Muse B watches from a distance, and when the time is right, Muse B begins to slaughter Muse A’s friends. If Muse A has no friends, they’ve nobody to pay attention to except Muse B.
Girl “She’s the kind of girl you want so much, it makes you sorry. Still, you won’t regret a single day.” Muse A becomes smitten with Muse B. Muse B has a domineering personality, and is easily able to convince Muse A to go on a killing spree with them. Although Muse A knows it’s bad, it all feels worth it to be with Muse B, someone who seemed formerly unattainable to them. Muse A’s family gets concerned by their erratic behavior and they begin to suspect Muse A and Muse B are a very toxic relationship. So, Muse A and Muse B, armed to the teeth, run, on a Fugit/Starkweather type murder spree.
Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite “For the benefit of Mr. Kite, there will be a show tonight. On trampolines.” Muse A and Muse B experiment with lysergic acid deithylamide (LSD/acid). They decide to explore the woods with their new-found warped perception of the world. They stumble upon what appears to be a circus tent and decide to go inside. Once inside, they see severed limbs being bounced on trampolines by victims of torture. They try to fun out, when a deranged ringleader by the name of Mr. Kite traps them, forcing them to partake in the macabre circus.
