He groaned; confusion. That was what came to him, first. “She shot me...” Slurred attempt to think out loud to make any kind of sense of what had happened.

“She shot me!” the Doctor repeated, lifting the hand off his forehead, disoriented, seemingly every muscle hurting, but at least remembering---- He jerked his hands to feel himself, in a momentary panic to make out if he had regenerated, only his left arm refused to move. No. No. Was refused movement.
“What is happening?”
He was reaching for the sonic even before his eyes took in the cuffs securing him to the... cot? Wait. Wait. “Whyyyyy am I... not dead...” Why was he comfortable? OK, not... no, very much not comfortable, but considering. At least he hadn’t died. Same voice. Same everything. He was pretty certain of that, now. But his sonic was gone, and even if his thigh was carefully dressed ---- so that’s why he wasn’t dead... But, cuffed. Humans. Silurians. Alien invasion.
“Alien invasion!” he cried out, shooting up from the cot ---- only to be stopped by the handcuffs. “Oi! First of all, a less empathic being might be a tiny bit offended about having been shot and knocked out and robbed of his screwdriver, not to mention captured! More importantly, aliens.” Really hoping someone would hear him and explain. “Earth. Warzone. Me. I’m one of the good guys!” Not that... the humans and the Silurians hadn’t seemed to be doing excellently without his help. Still, the shooting part had been just plain unnecessary. Bit unfriendly.
real talk, though. i still love the doc, and i have been writing him for over five years, and i want to write him more consistently again! he’s never going to be my primary character, lbr that spot was taken by 1 angel, but i want to rp as him. so, a thought… i am going to try and focus on plotting this week, here? and ease back into writing after! like this if you would like to plot something! especially if we have a thread (because i have most likely lost it). mutuals preferred.
