synopsis: valko was only in your life for a short amount of time before he was taken away. your journey to find him has all but gotten close to the finish line.
a/n: i am the #1 infold hater i'm so serious he was gonna be my main so imma just take him away from them, i will be writing so much for him.
summer was a promise for love, a vow for passion, and he was everything you had wished for. something new was arising and he was the very man that would bring in a new perspective to your life, one that was not only needed but desired.
the memory of where you first met was vivid, although a little unorthodox. he had needed to hide out in your apartment for a bit, and some part of you, whichever irrational side it was, said to let him in. he didn't really do anything, just stayed silent and left before you went to bed. you didn't see him again for a while. the next time you saw him was when you went into the forest looking for something. at the sight of the red fluffy tail, you forgot entirely what you were looking for.
the man turned to see you, a little shocked to find you there. he tilted his head. "hello."
you waved a little at him. "hi. what are you doing out here?"
"i needed a little fresh air. what about you?"
strange. why was it this easy to talk to this complete stranger whom a few nights ago, you willingly let him stay at your apartment? "i was looking for something, but i can't seem to remember what."
the tiniest shadow of a smile displayed across his lips, relaxing you further. "i see. was it a wanderer?"
"could be. i don't think so." had it been a wanderer, you would not be talking casually with this stranger, you would have gone and found the enemy that you needed to get rid of. perhaps it wasn't you looking for anything at all as much as your intuition leading you out and about. "so, about the other night-"
"ah yes, thank you for letting me stay for a bit. i cannot explain much about it, but you really did save me."
"okay, but when you say that, you can't possibly believe i'm not going to ask you any more questions. what did i save you from?"
he grinned widely this time and it made him look a lot kinder and more approachable. "well, i can't tell you."
"oh come on, you can't be serious!"
"i can be solemn if you'd like."
the back and forth conversation made you laugh a little. he was calm, really approachable. what had happened the other night would remain in a state of sheer curiosity, but that was okay. before you could ask for his name, his ears perked up, turning a different way. "i have to go."
your lips had formed the word "wait," but it was too late, the ginger retreating into the darkness of the night. you shrugged, hoping to see him around again as you walked back to your apartment. it was strange, but not unusual. you had seen your fair share of unusual encounters with wanderers, and even with people, so this was nothing out of the norm. yet, there seemed to be something intriguing about the ginger wolfman hybrid.
the next day, you met up with tara as the two of you walked around the mall, sipping the drink in your hand. you were just thinking about last night's meeting when you briefly heard tara say, "...and we're supposed to have a meeting tonight because there's a new company moving in next to us. supposedly it's just a branch, but regardless, we have to meet with them."
you hummed into your drink. "it's about time. that building's been open for the past century, i'm pretty sure. the infrastructure alone says everything."
tara grinned as you two continued your rendezvous before heading to headquarters. the meeting was in the big multi-purpose room and you sat in the front row next to tara as the others began to fill the rest of the seats. it seemed overboard to do something like this, it was just about the company next door. if they did collaborate with your company, why was it necessary for everyone to be here?
finally, the meeting started with all the heads of department sitting up on the elevated platform. you were paying attention physically, but mentally, you were thinking about the dinner that you were going to make later tonight. there were a bunch of people with whitecoats also sitting up there, not that it mattered to you. you could be doing literally anything else.
tara nudged you out of your stupor. "that one's looking at you," she whispered, nodding her head at one of the whitecoats. "he's kind of cute."
sure enough, there was a man staring directly at you. this man had the same shade of red hair of the man you met the previous night. your drowsiness zapped out of you as you stared back. where were his ears? his tail? that couldn't be him. but the little grin he gave you matched the one that the wolfman gave you that night, it was undeniable. the rest of the meeting was a blur, landing you in a hall where it was a sort of celebration for this new branch to create an even bigger family.
as you weaved in and out to get to the table laden with food, you almost bumped into someone with a whitecoat. you looked up and it seemed as though by sheer miracle he's right in front of you. a smile appeared on your lips. "well, i didn't think i'd meet this soon with you."
he plopped a spoonful of noodles into his bowl. "i didn't either. it's not unpleasant."
"so give me the rundown, what's going on here? why are you here?"
"didn't you pay attention to the conference?" he was teasing you because he knew damn well you weren't.
"of course i did. the last thing i remember was the introduction."
the two of you finished stacking your plates before you found your table to sit at as everyone else milled around. you began eating from your plate as he explained what his role was and what he was doing. "ah, so your group is supposed to experiment on things to help us be more advanced as hunters."
"exactly. it's not supposed to get everyone on the same level as those with an evol, but something similar to that."
"and you study a lot of things around evol?" another bite as you listened to him dutifully.
he briefly scratched the back of his head and said sheepishly, "no, actually, i study many different things under the company. one of them is chocolate. i do enjoy discovering new ways to make chocolate. have you ever tried spicy versions of it? it's really good, i'll make you some."
he seemed so passionate about his research and something in your chest warmed at seeing how he let loose around you, talking about everything he liked. it became an easy conversation between the two of you, finding out each other's name as well. for the next three days, it was a lot of meeting up with one another, talking about any and everything. he'd even bring you freshly made dinner or buy takeout after having memorized what your favorite meals were with a not so subtle 21 questions game. you found out that his ears and tail only showed up at specific times of the month ("ah, so you're a werewolf!" you had said to his feigned horror) and he found out more about your evol.
however, on the sixth day of the two of you meeting, he stopped coming around abruptly. you had created a routine, so for this to happen came completely out of the blue. but regardless, you continued your day even though there was a small hole in your heart from the lack of his presence. another day went by and you went to work, unaware of tara coming up to you and calling your name until she tapped your arm. you jolted out of your thoughts and looked at her. "hmm? what's up?"
"i've been trying to call you all morning. did you hear about one of the members of the new company that's supposed to be working in the building next to us?"
"no, not really, why?"
"remember the wolfman in the woods that everyone's been hunting down?"
you almost spat out the drink. in all your excitement about your new companion, you forgot entirely about the wolfman that you were supposed to be hunting down with the rest of the organization. and you had just let him in that night like it was nothing! to be fair, you had had a long day and it was not out of the blue. they had been putting you on too many shifts for you to be able to process that the wolfman, whose name you learned was valko, was the same one you were supposed to take in for questioning. "why are we hunting him down again?"
"he works for a company that does drug testing."
of course. that made more sense, what with the conversation of the other night. god, it was all coming together and yet you didn't realize because you were having too much fun talking to him. you hurried through to get to your captain, jenna. "jenna, what's going on? what happened?"
"we caught the wolf guy."
"wait, but why him? why not the company funding this whole thing?"
jenna looked at you with a raised eyebrow. you were there for the meeting when it came down to hunters being told who their target would be and who to keep an eye out for future prospects. "because he was the easiest one to get to. he's their scapegoat. if we get to him, we get to the company."
"where are you keeping him?"
"why does it matter? he's going to get terminated."
your heart dropped. "you're going to kill him?"
"no. we're sending him off somewhere where no one can reach. we have cameras monitoring him but only a select amount of people are allowed to know of his location. this will give the company less power and in turn, we can eliminate them."
so them being allowed to join the building next to you, that was all a ruse. they had had suspicions about valko from the get go, but they needed a reason to capture him. did they knew about the two of you mingling? "when are you sending him off?"
jenna checked her watch. "right now."
no. you were too late. you couldn't ask him any more questions and you had just barely missed him. all because some people decided that he was disposable. you called out of work for sickness and went home. along the way, you could smell the food wafting out of one of his favorite restaurants. a steakhouse, the one with one of the best desserts you've ever had. the aroma reminded you so strongly of him, it made your stomach churn as you raced home, barely holding any emotions back.
for that short amount of time that you had valko in your life, you allowed your heart to open and embrace him as he had embraced you after hearing something sad that happened in your first hunt. he had been kind, the most gentle soul you had ever known and in turn, the world took him away from you out of sheer greed. the power of greed and the corruption of morals were the only things necessary to make him a phantom. you would look for years and yet, would it prove anything to anyone? no, because it was a short period of time. the heart knows what it wants, though, and that was something no one could take away from you. it had told you it was him. that search that had plagued you for a while only to calm down leading up to the days of meeting him? that search led you to the man that could not stay.
some people say that there is no sadness to be had for someone you had not had that deep of a connection with, but you could not disagree more. he could have been yours. those two words were the most painful ones: "could have." could have been yours, could have been at your side, could have held him, could have merged souls with him. after so long of the mundane, he brought prospects of a new hope that you had not really had before. the world did not want your happiness and hope was the last thing you could hold onto, because it is the last thing to leave.
the wait was going to be too long. but you could only plead for him to wait for you, to wait until you could get to him. oh, valko. the world was cruel to him in the short time that you had him. the world loathed him before they could know him the way you did. you were in pain, but the clouds would part eventually.
synopsis: you were never supposed to be his bride as much as the placeholder for the one he actually loves.
a/n: i was watching corpse bride last night and <3 angst ahead !
dick didn’t know what to do. his existence in the afterlife was not supposed to happen this soon, much less with someone that he would never marry. if he said that out loud, he would be cruel since you were the poor bride that got deserted and killed by your previous suitor. but he was already engaged to someone in the other realm.
seeing you in your wedding dress was enough to make him feel nothing less than guilty, since he could not be the one you love.
you had given him a gift and it was one that he could never repay, particularly because it was with the very family he had wanted back for years. you found them, bringing them forward. it was strange to have his mom's skeletal hand on his cheek, but the emotion was there just the same. both his parents wanted him to stay, but he knew deep down that he could not since it meant getting rid of his life in the realm of the living.
now he was going along with your whims after he said that he wanted to introduce you to his adoptive father and siblings so that they could witness your wedding, lying entirely. he had to go and see his fiancée and explain everything to her. the elder sent them off into the realm of the living and with a gust of sand over you both, you were in the very world that you lost so suddenly all those years ago. the moonlight was beautiful, mesmerizing, reminding you of the life that was stolen from you.
dick sat you down on a log and said, "i am going to prepare my father and my siblings for your arrival and i will come back for you, okay? stay here."
"yep!"
"don't turn around, it'll be a surprise."
you let out a small laugh as you did as he asked you to, waiting beneath the stars and listening to the crunch of his footsteps over the snow as they faded away slowly. but as time kept ticking on, there was a worm of doubt in your head, figuratively and literally. as you pulled the worm out, he began to speak, "let's go find out what he's up to, there's no way it's taking him this long to find his father and siblings."
"but he did go to them." you had trust in your husband. why wouldn't you? you genuinely believed he did mean to put that ring on your finger, thus saving you from eternal darkness.
"your boyfriend has been jumpy since we came into this world."
"he's not my boyfriend, he's my husband. and it's because he is living, remember? he is not used to the realm that comes after we die."
"regardless, we should go after him. find out if he really is going for his family." the worm was nothing short of an enabler and from the start, he has not been on your husband's side. he's been, well, for lack of a better word, a tad murderous.
but he was right too. it shouldn't be taking dick this long to find his family. you stood up, following the footprints in the snow to be able to find him. they led you to a pillar and you were utterly confused until you saw the thick vines and branches that allowed him to climb up. disregarding your wedding dress, you started climbing, stumbling over the balcony edge as it started to storm outside. the veil was over your face as you opened the window and you swatted it away from your face. "i'm sorry darling, but you were gone for-"
your eyes landed on the woman beside him, and then at him. what was going on here? you asked, "darling? who is this?"
the woman stammered, "who are you?"
"i'm his wife." you showed her the ring and right at that moment, dick grabbed your bony hand and shook it to show the woman, adding in, "i'm not married, look, she's dead."
this made you enraged, snatching your hand back and grabbing dick as you uttered the word that would take you back to your realm. dick yelled as he reached out for the woman that you caught him with. the scenery around you changed back to the location you had first started in. you released him angrily, shouting, "you lied to me! you just wanted to get back with that other woman!"
"but the thing is, you're the other woman."
"no! you're my husband, not hers!"
dick shook his head. "what don't you get about this situation? you're dead and i'm alive, i would not marry you willingly!"
even though your stomach did not function anymore, it was still able to drop as you stared at him, stunned. he spoke the exact words that you hadn't wanted to hear because while they were true, they still hurt. you took your leave, his words still repeating in your head as you found a nearby loveseat. your marriage wasn't real to him, so how real could it be? there was no point to cry about it, yet the tears kept running down your cheeks faster than you could wipe them away.
dick didn't know what to do anymore. he couldn't go back to the human realm without the help of the elder skeleton and who was he kidding? he broke your heart. he'd be lucky if he was still welcomed amongst everyone else. seeing you walk off, tears shimmering in your eyes, that brought him a strange sensation of pain that he could not measure with anything else. so instead of letting you go, he followed you to the piano before you. you played beautifully and he had a knack for it. he attempted to join you, even when you looked away. but the more you played together, the more in sync you were and thankfully, you actually looked at him by the end of the song.
abruptly, a bell rang, signaling that there was a new person that showed up in the realm. dick looked over and recognized the person. "jason? jason, i'm so happy to see you-" jason's face was blue. "i'm so sorry."
jason stretched and yawned. "yeah, well, not my first time anyways. i'll be back up in no time."
"wait, how's everyone?"
"they're worried about you, but after you left, they decided to find another suitor for your bride. they thought you took too long."
hearing this, you felt stunned. it didn't take that long before everyone on the surface was against him? you tried following him once he started retreating due to his sadness at losing his ex-bride. you kept looking for him until ending up at the chef's kitchen, pacing. "and he just straight up left!"
"men, they can't really make up their minds."
the door opened, revealing the same elder that sent you to the surface world, big book in hand. "my dear, there is a problem with your marriage."
you frowned and looked over. "dick may have escaped, but that doesn't mean anything. what are you talking about?"
the elder hesitated, trying to find the words to say without breaking you. "the vows that hold you, those are til death does you part." at you agreeing, he continued. "death has already parted you."
with a gasp, you looked down at the book, knowing that if dick found out about this, he'd leave. "what do we do?"
"there is one thing to do. he has to drink from the Wine of Ages. it will stop his heart and only then will he be allowed to join you."
as much as you craved marriage, you could never do this to him. you would not kill your own not-husband so that he could be your real husband. falling to your knees, you shook her head. "i can't do that to him."
"i'll do it."
the voice made all of you turn towards dick and he smiled gently as he went to you, helping you up. "it's okay. i want to." even knowing the repercussions, he still wanted to marry you. there was a warmth in your heart that hadn't been there since you had passed away. the preparations were set, and everyone in the realm would be going up to the land of the living to conduct the ceremony. the local church was stuffed with everyone inside and when it was your turn to walk down the aisle, dick knew there was no other word to describe you except for radiant. you were stunning in a way no one else could ever be.
the altar crept up faster than you expected and the only thing on it was the wine that would kill him. his vows slipped off his tongue with ease, but yours stumbled as you attempted to speak them. deep down, you knew this was wrong. you could not give him a drink to kill him just so he could be with you. you looked over at the column behind dick, only to see his bride watching with eyes wide. "i will be-"
dick watched you, finishing the vow for you before bringing the cup to his lips. you didn't let him, blocking it with your hand. tears swelled in your eyes. "i can't let you do that." everyone in the crowd gasped and you swallowed as you cupped his face. "my dreams were taken away from me. and now i'm taking them away from someone else."
you waved forward the bride, who tentatively walked across to meet up with you and dick. you allowed them to hold hands, reunite. it didn't hurt you as much to see it, but you knew that it was because you didn't love him. you craved being loved all this time, no matter who the love was from. what they had was more vivid than what you would ever want.
therefore, as you walked back down the aisle, you felt a strange sensation tugging at you. a feeling of freedom after knowing that you would never be loved fully.
love was a strange thing, you thought. after everyone's arrival in the land of the living, you discovered that the man who brought you to your unfortunate demise had been eaten after he consumed poison. this was the same man who laughed in your face as he killed you. you were glad you didn't see his face as all when you arrived. that was a love you could depend on, where the entire realm took care of you because they didn't want your heart to break. but could a heart break once it's stopped beating? you did know the answer to that, particularly after realizing how much you wanted the passion everyone went insane over.
the moonlight was bright outside. you turned to see everyone staring at you and you tossed the bouquet backwards. the last piece to leave before you did. with one last look at dick, you mentally said goodbye to what you could've had, preparing to exist into a world that would cradle you and hold you as gently as neither realms would. your body transformed into that of hundreds of butterflies, until you became no more.
the night sky was littered with reminders of you, from the butterflies to the stars to the moon you admired so much. there would never be a night where dick would not be reminded of you and what you never had.
synopsis: as an audience member, he should not be jealous of you dancing with someone else onstage. nothing can keep down the biting daggers of envy, however, nor the desire to be the one holding you like your dance partner does.
a/n: my playlist is legit fuel to write i love it <3 kind of a modern au
no one had fully described to him what the emotion behind anger and hunger was. hunger, not for sustenance, but for someone else he had wanted for years. what would it take for him to be seen not just as a companion? he had to wait, only those that were patient would receive such a wonderful life ahead of them.
it still pierced him to know that his jealousy was unfounded.
you were the best dancer in the academy you both attended, and you had wished for years to attend the prestigious dance university that would separate the two of you. he insisted he would visit you every weekend, and so he did. the promises he made for you were sacred, never to be defiled by any means. he looked forward to weekends after all.
the change within you from the first year to the final year of the university was vivid. no one could deny the elegance of which you carried yourself in ballet, the sharpness when it came to tango, the fierceness when it came to freestyle. no one could outdance you, and this, mydei took secret pride in, for he was the one that could shout out how proud he was of you. if there was a stand full of cheerleaders, mydei would need a row for himself because he would not let himself be outcheered by someone who did not watch you as closely as he did. he knew about the blood, sweat, and tears you poured into your craft, the endless nights without sleep as you tried to perfect a specific move before aiming for the next move to perfect. resting was not an option for you. had it not been for him ensuring that you slept and him bringing you paper bags of food, he was positive you would've stumbled on your own feet on the very stage you put your life into.
fast forward to a few years later, and he still has not said anything to you. it is so shameful and he knows it because the entire time, you have not even been with anyone else. that alone would have crushed him. time was running out, though, and he had to pull himself together.
"and why is it, mydei, that you still have not asked her? every time we meet up, there's always something about her that you're moping over," phainon chuckles as he sits across the round table from mydei. they had met at a small restaurant because phainon's busy schedule barely allowed him to leave the city. the wind blew through the leaves of the trees in the patio that they asked the waitress to sit at.
mydei's food sat untouched in front of him. why hadn't he asked you out yet? was it fear? no, he had dealt with more terrifying things. maybe it was the fear of losing you as a friend. he just shrugged, however. "i don't know."
"if it's fear, then tell me this, why has she not gotten with anyone else? surely, she could be with someone during the time that it has taken you to ask her out."
he froze at phainon's statement. he had a point, but what did it mean? "she's been focused on her dancing."
"and you think she doesn't gain admirers from her dancing? enough to ask her out?"
god, he had another point. he was annoyed with himself now. the signs were right there and yet...
the thought process had made him spiral from the conversation he had a week ago with phainon. now he was in one of the most elaborate and sophisticated theaters in the city, preparing to watch you on the stage. it was supposed to be a show with different styles of dancing, each of them combined to create a story.
the lights went low, the announcements reminding everyone where the emergency exits are and the introduction of the production. then the red curtain opened and as the show proceeded, he witnessed you dancing. without anyone else onstage to take away your effulgence, he relaxed in his seat, mesmerized by the melody of your form.
and then came a song that made his heart drop before he realized what was happening.
the raspy voice of the singer rang out, swirling around your movements with another man he didn't know. you were draped in red, red, red, the color stunning against your skin. he would have loved to witnessed it up close, but he was forced to be in the audience, heart pounding from the familiar and unwelcomed emotion.
the nighttime scenery behind you was laden with false stars, twinkling dots of light on your face as you locked eyes with your dance partner. he knew this was the choreography but watching how the man stared back at you, how he held your hand and kissed it, gods above, help him. he can't do it anymore, he can't watch. something was yanking his chin to make sure he could not turn away. his heart was feral, fighting against the chains of nonchalance he kept it wrapped under. his emotions, prompted behind a cracking dam, were about to be unleashed like an enraged ocean.
he would've pleaded for you to get off the stage, get away from him, but he didn't want you to leave. no, the contradicting part of him was hissing silently and cruelly for you to stay onstage. that part of him was the part that loved you, the part that wanted to be with you so badly that he didn't know what to do. his soul wanted to leave like his heart did. but what soul did he have left that wasn't meshed with your entire being? if it left, it meant you would too and then he would wander eternity lifelessly.
as the man spun you around, your red costume flowing from the twirls, he witnessed how you transform from a small bud into a blossoming spider lily. the costume was supposed to mean a transformation of emotions, and for mydei, it did transform him. his emotions went from being pushed down to barely restrained. it took all his willpower not to say anything when he saw your hand brush against your dance partner's face.
he had to confess. and soon.
but when he saw you once more outside after the show, all he could say was, "you looked incredible up there." your smile was enough to keep back the ugly emotions that were festering at being held back. he had his chance now, to confess, bear his soul out to you.
unfortunately, you were being called back into the theater for a post recital note session. with a quick hug and wave goodbye, he left. and with him went his unchained heart, now full of uncertainty and resignation that he no longer had any time left to lose. he would prepare, he would do everything in his power to show that he could be the person you needed. he could not hide anymore. he wouldn't.
synopsis: jason has a crush on you from afar, without the courage to actual speak up about it, believing that he is saving you from any danger.
a/n: confession time, i started this whole blog bc i really, really wanted to write this fic </3 listened to the song and decided that we need more pining jason todd fics !! pining jason todd my beloved
watching you was like watching the sun set, just as brilliant and captivating. he could swear up and down that you had to have bewitched him, put a curse on him, entrance him. that is the only explanation he had as to why he found himself watching over you from the tops of the buildings of gotham. no criminal would be able to come close and he had already saved you from several scrapes in the past.
there was the thief who stepped out of the shadows of the alley you had hurriedly rushed past, ready to pounce on your purse with a knife in his pocket. jason, as red hood, had not hesitated to fall onto the man and empty his hand of the weapon that could have easily taken you away from him. and then where would he be?
then there was the two men, thoroughly inebriated and way too close to you when you were only a block away from your apartment. that stupid bar never gave any limits to its customers, especially when they were as rich as those two. jason narrowed his eyes behind his hood, studying the men to see if they could do anything. no, it was just cat calling.
"hey, sweetheart, what are you doing all the way over there?"
"turn those pretty legs around for us, huh?"
the discomfort on your face as they laughed when you entered the apartment was enough for jason. he was already bristling when they were catcalling you, but fortunately, he did not have to do anything else. they had made the mistake of driving when drunk, crashing into a pole a few blocks down. they would be taken away, far from you. good. the more people that could get close enough to damage you there were, the more work he had to clean up gotham.
strangely enough though, while he could get rid of villains for you, he could not muster up the courage to actually talk to you. how could he? you were an ordinary citizen and if you were entwined with him, his life, oh. he daydreamed about it constantly, particularly when the flashbacks got bad. but if he succumbed to those emotions, he would find himself drowning himself and you. the joker had already taken away any sense of stability and safety he believed he had, he would not let that happen to you.
how had this debilitating crush started? bruce had wrangled him to go to a gala and while he was in his tight suit (he would have to tell alfred about this), he could not help but roll his eyes at the nearby conversations. how many times had he been in this room, dealing with people cooing over him? it was always the same remarks: how much he had grown, how handsome he'd gotten, what he was doing for a job.
it got to be exhausting. but then when one of the sponsors of the event showed up at the podium to make an announcement whilst also thanking bruce for his collaboration, he saw you. the stage lights were all on your father and yet, they did not diminish next to your radiance. you could be in the pitch black darkness, and he would revere you as his sun. he never understood the love at first sight aspect in all sources of media, believing them to be ridiculous and false.
and here he was, almost falling to his knees to breathe you in like a prayer.
but you had not seen him again afterwards. he only located you because he stumbled across you in the streets. out of sheer nerves, he ducked into a nearby store, murmuring as he bought a small pack of gum so it seemed normal. yeah, because red hood always went into small stores in order to buy gum. just the normal routine.
afterwards, he noticed that this was your normal street. he didn't mean to watch you and he even felt guilty, because this counted as stalking. why couldn't he just talk to you normally? but something was drawing him to you and he didn't know exactly what it was. he did leave you alone once you were safely in your apartment, knowing that the rest of gotham also needed his protection, not just you.
he craved being able to interact with you. he was the snow to your sun, wanting to see you before melting away in your light. tonight had to be the night. he would casually crash into you on the street and ask you out for lunch or dinner, sometime when he was not on patrol.
something was off though. you weren't walking along the street that you're usually at. the hairs at the back of his neck stood up, notifying him that something was deeply wrong. you never strayed from your routine, so what was going on in this moment?
then he saw it too late. a firebomb being thrown at your apartment building, encasing it in flames before he could even cry out. he rushed over before he could process what he was doing, checking the people as they got out. where were you? no, he couldn't lose you, you were all he needed. he had to make sure you were alive, but first, he had to find the scumbag that decided it was your turn tonight.
as he looked in the direction the firebomb was thrown at, he saw a figure running away, hopping over the rooftops. with a snarl, he started chasing after the figure. he could only hear the pounding of the same word in his ears: fire. fire. fire. fire. fire. he knew what it was like dying a horrible death and burning alive would be one of the worst ways to go. his heart was beating so fast and so hard, he was afraid it would give out before he could give it to you. no, you would be fine.
once he caught up to the figure, the adrenaline was rushing through his veins as he tackled them. but something was strangely familiar about the villain that was under his grasp. something was wrong.
"it's about time you caught me." why did the villain have your voice?
horror spread through his body. no. no, it couldn't be. not you. he stared at you, not even knowing how to ask why. why were you everything he stood against? why was it all a lie? why did he not care? he could not tear his eyes away from you, from that same smile he had loved from afar.
this is a hate free zone. anything along those lines will be dealt with immediately.
this blog was mainly created for fun, so a lot of the fics will be based on the fandoms i'm in! if you request something, make sure to check the fandoms i write for. only if i know the source of media will i write for it.
however, i do not write for any real life people, regardless if i am in the fandom or not.
i will write in 2nd person pov, but pronouns will be she/her.
i am trying to stay away from writing headcanons. due to that, if you have a request, i will attempt to make it into a full fic, only if i feel as though i can write it.
my masterlist has games that i have played, HOWEVER. i have not caught up with most because the storage got to be really bad. therefore, if you make a request with one of those new characters, chances are i do not know anything about them so i will not write them </3
i will NOT write: smut, yandere, r@pe, massive age difference, dark romance, pregnancy, mental illnesses i do not have knowledge about since i am not a medical professional by any means, character!reader.
i cannot believe i have to clarify this in this day and age but: I AM AGAINST AI. DO NOT USE MY FANFICS IN AI. I WILL NEVER USE AI FOR ANY OF MY WORKS.
have fun, interact, i'm always happy to talk with people!
