hey nonpsychotics: if you genuinely, in any amount, want to help schizophrenic people, you need to start by modifying your own behavior. you need to stop screenshotting the blogs of psychotic people you think are too weird to be real, mocking the delusions of psychotic people as if we aren’t impacted and are (typically) genuinely terrified of the things we believe, and using psychotic paranoia as an “aesthetic” and furthermore aestheticizing the whole idea of a “crazy conspiracy theorist” when so many schizophrenic peoples lives are ruined by going down rabbit holes and never coming back up. you need to stop making our suffering into a joke. and when i tell you to respect psychotic people, i’m not talking about just respecting me and other psychotic people that can articulate themselves to some degree, i mean the ones that are perpetually hospitalized and homeless too, and even the ones you think are “cringey” for genuinely believing in their delusions and not being 100% self aware.

the Acceptable, normal psychotic that deserves empathy and support: only ones that never show symptoms, are completely coherent, agree with being treated like garbage, and do everything in their power to never appear as though theyre experiencing psychosis

the Evil, bad psychotic that is probably a faker anyway: any psychotic that has… you know, delusions and talks about them. any psychotic person that doesn’t act 100% rational all the time. any psychotic person that has breakdowns and episodes where you can see them. any psychotic person that gets paranoid over things you don’t understand. basically anyone that… who wouldve guessed… displays any psychotic symptoms in any amount
