my hands reach for you on stage,

have you stopped to notice?

you move until you settle

with your legs around mine,

and do you hear it when my breath catches?

there is something in my lungs

that i can’t seem to exhale.

this unnamed thing that some might call

love,

but which i, for intents and purposes,

will call worship.

worship is for gods, you say? so allow me:

your feet: their gentle arch and the way

your toes curl if only i touch you in the right place.

your calves: how they frame my hips when

you place yourself above me, on a stage or in this room.

your thighs: and how they flex under my

I think my only criticism of Impera is that a few of the songs sound like "expanded" versions of older songs. Similar melodies and/or beats. I'd have to go through again and write everything down because i don't have them all memorized yet, but i feel like if you know, you know. THAT SAID, I'm firmly in the "oh boy! Two cakes!" camp. I happily have demos and final versions and live versions of songs in my library because i just like them all!

I know what you mean, but then again.. there are only so many sounds you can come up with haha. Some are bound to get repeated I guess.

Speaking of demos, Tobias was asked once whether he plans on releasing any on like a special edition anniversary box set or something, like artists sometimes do. And he said he wouldn't because when he records them, he puts in nonsensical lyrics, sometimes in Swedish, instead of actual lyrics because they're not done yet. So for example in the demo to Rats the lyrics go [sing it to the tune for full effect lol]: "We need a first line/Something like this/ It needs a good rhyme/But something’s amiss /This sounds familiar/You’ve heard it before/But slightly different/To avoid the bore”.

And apparently he thinks people wouldn't want to hear that but HELLO Mr Forge?? That is exactly what I want to hear.
