Hi! I really like your work on Chigiribako translations and tips, it helped me to understand more! Can you please tell me more about Tsuzuru, Miyabi and Yukihi, because they intrigue me and I can't find much information about them. I will appreciate it if you reply. Cheers! 😊
It’s been a while since I last played the game, but let’s see what I can remember.
Miyabi is Hibiki’s younger brother, but obviously they keep that a secret. Hibiki has been kept captive in the basement by his parents (due to his curse). Miyabi, who is “normal”, visited him sometimes, but Hibiki’s hatred towards his parents had also transfered towards Miyabi and by the time he was free he couldn’t remember the times Miyabi had tried to make him feel less lonely in the basement. Miyabi seems to hate his brother now, though he tries not to show it. This hate might come as a result to Hibiki not seeing Miyabi as his brother. Miyabi might also be jealous of Hibiki because he is popular while Miyabi himself is regarded as “weird”. He does seem to be a little twisted. He secretly judges other people quite harshly (e.g. he thinks of Beni as a whore). Otherwise Miyabi is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy and likes to stick his nose in other people’s business.Miyabi is interested in “weird” stuff, such a spirits and psychic powers. He claims to be able to read people’s minds - in truth he is just good at reading people, a skill he gained through lots of observations and practise. He may be jealous at the other characters for being able to see spirits or have supernatural powers. He may just feel left out, though. After all, he wanted to help Hibiki, and as far as I can remember, Sou also observed this, becoming obsessed with the supernatural may have been Miyabi’s way to help his brother.Miyabi seems to like exotic animals. He has a snake, and I think a parrot as pets. He is in the same class as Beni. He mostly calls people by a nickname. He also knows that Beni is in love with Hibiki and that they have a relationship.During the “Jack the Ripper” case, he is the one responsible for the killings. In Ukyou’s route, Miyabi claims he helped Hibiki with the murders because he wanted to see Sou’s fearful face, but it probably really was to save Hibiki.
Tsuzuru is Beni’s childhood friend. They lived in the same village. Yukihi did not live with Tsuzuru. Tsuzuru’s mother was a cannibal and forced him to eat human flesh, too, until he became unable to eat anything else. Both Yukihi and their father know of his cannibalism (actually Hibiki, Beni and Miyabi, too). The very reason Tsuzuru is in Akagi is to be able to get human flesh. He eats the corpses that are stored in Akagi’s morgue. Their father is in government, that’s why he’s able to erase the proof of Tsuzuru’s crimes. In Yasuke’s route, Tsuzuru attempts suicide after Yasuke has killed his father. He is pretty fragil and easily disturbed.Tsuzuru can see spirits and easily gets possessed by them. The reason he gets affected by the same curse as Hibiki is because he is a descendant of the survivors of a family that was close to Hibiki’s family (same reason with Beni).Tsuzuru sometimes comes off as innocent as a child. He likes puzzles and toy blocks. He is very shy and speaks softly. He rarely goes to school and when he does, he always looks for Beni, Miyabi or Hibiki during the breaks because he is a very lonely person. He is in the same class as Ukyou. He loves and respects his brother very much.During the “Jack the Ripper” case, he is responsible for any missing body parts the victims had because he ate them. He helped Hibiki, because he told him that he will be relieved from the curse if they revive “Magatsusama” (the sealed “Akushokuki”).
Yukihi is Tsuzuru’s older brother and at the top of the Akagi organisation. Because he has albinism, he can’t be in the light. That’s why he did not live together with Tsuzuru in the village. During the day he shuts himself into his office. Yukihi is a very cold and aloof person. The only person he shows affection to is his brother Tsuzuru. He would kill anyone if it would protect Tsuzuru. He gets along quite well with Hibiki, though, but strictly in a professional way.Yukihi is able to stop time and to send someone back in time (he can’t time-travel himself).I kind of remember him liking plants? I’m not sure, though. Not much else is known about him. Also, he and Tsuzuru seem to sleep in the same bed.
Unfortunately you don’t get to know that much about the Akagi members. They are actually quite complex and hard to get. You also have to take into account that they are pretty much putting up a front because they are hiding a lot of things (though Tsuzuru is probably the most genuine one). So like half of this is only my interpretation of their personalities.
I hope it still helped you, though!
