I have an obsession with pitching motions. There is something so … weird that this necessary process to get a pitch to the mid-90s can be so different for each pitcher. I just don’t understand how it’s possible (probably because I’m a real dummy when it comes to things like science and whatnot) but it’s so fun.
So, a year after making a pitcher silhouette quiz that most readers said was too easy, we came back to make a much harder one. Think you’re a real ‘90s kid, Buzzfeed reader? Then take the quiz and prove your worth.
A few other things I did this week that are worth your time:
Joey Votto came back to camp fatter. On purpose. He’s the greatest.
What’s the real purpose of Spring Training? Rooting for the underdogs to make the roster. I’m all about Willian Astudillo, who is a stocky, little catcher that bashes the ball all over the field, but doesn’t strike out. I looked at seven non-roster underdogs worth championing.
Stirrup socks are the greatest thing on this planet. The A’s just unveiled a stirrup sock hat. Unfortunately, you need to buy a Spring Training two-pack to get it.
And finally, Adam Duvall smashes dingers. But did you realize he was one of the best defenders in baseball, too?
