Xara - 4 day exploration of Syros. We’d go back.
Featured here: Ermoupolis, Ano Syros, Agathopes
August 2015
Igia - What a dinner party should look like. An evening with the cousins/the best hosts around, couldn’t have asked for a better send off.
August 2015
Xara - Hot summer days between Zacharo and Athens. Sunsets, ancient ruins and music in the streets

Xara - Belated photos from a family trip to Greece for the books, circa 5 months ago.
Remembering and celebrating the life of one of the strongest, most loving and considerate women in my life, Giagia.
Six years later the whole family makes the trip all together with some extra special guests, Doyeun and Tom!
Beaches were enjoyed, oranges were picked, siestas were had, pounds of feta were devoured daily, tight quarters were shared, Smiles all around.
It was short lived but it was pretty great.

5 years later.
Xara - Humboldt State Park, has over 70% of the tallest trees in the world, over 350ft tall. We drove through the avenue of the giants and walked through Bull Creek and the Rockefellar loop - which is a tiny segment of the 17,000 acres this place has to offer. These trees are beasts, beautiful and amazing beasts that I've wanted to see for years. Check em' out, give them a squeeze and spend a little bit just looking up.
Xara - Yachats, Oregon, where the coastal trees are combed and styled by the pacific winds. If you ever go out in this direction, you should stay at the Heceta Head Lighthouse Bed and Breakfast; huge house, beautiful views, amazingly quiet, cute garden and of course a 7 course breakfast! The hikes/walks we took around here were some of my favorite. Usually mist and wind are my two least favorite weather patterns, but the Florence/Yachats area pulls it off like no other.
Xara - The Oregon coast is sprinkled with a whole lot of rocks, some better known than others (Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, photo 10). They make for a pretty epic view.
First stop on our road trip, Ecola State Park, where the trees were covered in moss, there wasn't a patch of dry ground, the water was freezing and of course the views were amazing.
Xara - Portland travels continued, more photos below
Xara - Discovering some pretty fantastic waterfalls with a great tour guide, Lindsay, and her sidekick Walter (photo 2)!
Columbia River Gorge and the slew of waterfalls close by. (photo 6,7,8: Latourell, photo 9: Bridal Veil). Moss and mist never looked so great.
