Geralt has found himself on a rather unusual contract.
There is no monster to slay, no cursed noble to save, no village cowering behind barred doors. Instead, someone has hired him to hunt for a legend: the long-lost home of the Muses.
According to the oldest stories, the Muses once wandered the Continent, offering inspiration to anyone who sought it—a poet searching for the perfect verse, a sculptor chasing beauty through stone, a composer reaching for a melody that lingered in the soul. Then, one day, they vanished, taking their sanctuary with them.
The trail is centuries old, and maddeningly vague. Every clue points not to maps or ruins, but to music.
Which is how Geralt ends up in Oxenfurt.
The scholars there have spent generations collecting songs, poems, and forgotten tales. Somewhere among them is a professor who has dedicated years to studying the Muses and may know where to look next.
A bard. Someone the Muses themselves likely would have adored.
Someone Geralt hasn't seen in months.
Not since the mountain.
Jaskier.
