imagine, you're having the worst day of your life: your mother is breathing down your neck about residencies and being a surgeon, and you thought your dad dgaf, but he does daf! unfortunately! so there are even more sources of potential stress for you now! and a tall annoying white guy at work is trying to 'umm actually' his way through being a doctor in front of your salad and like seven people at work find out about your not-so-secret tiktok fame and several of your crushes keep flirting with you including 1) a milf who is more than twice your age who also happens to be your mentor 2) a futch lesbian who has a specific nickname for you and keeps reminding you of it, 3) a sexy nurse who you asked out on your first day of work ever and you lowk named your tiktok persona because of an inside joke you two share, and 4) the hot intake lady who shares her food with you And there's a nun with gonorrhea in her eye you gotta treat and an old retired maga-adacent lady lowk calls you a slur but like there's no time to unpack that and the gossipy nurses find out your twenty-first birthday is next week against your will AND your patient who is a mother and is beloved by her children has to die in front of you, triggering your mommy issues AGAIN and your other patient almost dies because the internet is down and you're a gen z med student who doesn't know how analog shit works and no one lets you ask questions because they assume you're a prodigy And then the mean hot surgery lady calls you a nepo baby about it AND your mom straight-up assumes that you were the one that missed something that caused a patient to start coding which happened to be the mistake of aformentioned annoying white boy--AND SAYS THAT IN FRONT OF A WHOLE OR FULL OF DOCTORS?? And Then your boss makes you do brain surgery even though you're off the clock during the same shift where he (mind you, very white old man) yelled at your for trying to find your coworker who was taken in an ice raid via social media (and cut you off several times as you tried to explain your actions) (all of this while you were already super done with your shift and just helping out), AND THEN the internet comes back online and you have to use a fax machine???? whatever the fuck that is?????
