“Fan Chengcheng’s Assistant” is currently trending on Weibo after fans have been continuously requesting Yuehua to give him a new assistant. 

There’s been a photo circulating around containing a summary of all the things that have happened over the past few months which I’ll translate for those who don’t know what’s been going on. 

Note: this is a translation summary of what was contained in the photo. I’ve combined some of the text into a general overview as the original post was quite lengthy. 

0410: When filming ‘Why I Travel’ in Thailand, staff accidentally closed the car door onto Chengcheng’s hand. When fans relayed this information to Yuehua, there was no response and to this day, the issue has remained unresolved. 

0713: Due to Chengcheng’s assistant misplacing his passport, he was forced to remain at Xi’An Airport for the whole night and the next day and was unable to attend the Thailand fanmeet. Later, he had to fly back to Beijing. Yuehua, however, made no comment about Chengcheng’s absence, causing numerous media outlets to say: “The 6 Yuehua Boys are here but does Fan Chengcheng think he is too famous to attend now?”

0713: iQiyi’s TV Weibo updated with a post calling Fan Chengcheng ‘That Cheng’ and blamed him for not being able to attend the fanmeet, whilst remaining in the airport. 

There have been many instances where Fan Chengcheng has come under public scrutiny and been attacked online and fans have asked for Yuehua’s assistance. However, Yuehua has remained silent throughout and has not once shown any support or done anything to silence the rumours regarding Chengcheng. 

Regarding his assistant, the general story coming from Weibo is that she has been treating Chengcheng badly, often confiscating his phone and was the one who misplaced his passport, whilst she flew to Thailand herself. 

Fans are asking for a public apology from Yuehua as well as giving Chengcheng a new assistant.
