God dammit. You quietly swore when you saw your bus leaving under your nose just a few simple meters away. Because someone had to ask the professor questions, making him fall into a deep monologue about how the usage of messenger apps and social media minimizes the human capacity to form actual sentences and talk like 'a real grown-up', instead of using abbreviations and 'these stupid yellow faces' to communicate with others. You sighed, breathing into the palms of your hands in a miserable attempt to keep them from freezing up. It was unbelievably cold today and of course you forgot your new gloves at home. You shook your legs softly, trying to warm you up and not shaking like a crazy person.
You looked up when you heard someone coming up next to you. You groaned quietly when your eyes met with Jinyoung's. He questionably raised one of his brows at you. “I missed my bus because of you.”, you said and rubbed your hands together. “You could've just left, you know.”, he chuckled mildly at you. “And risk my A? No-uh.”, you answered, shaking your head at Jinyoung. “You think he's giving you an A after you basically told him that he's too old to understand digital communication?”, Jinyoung laughed. “I did not tell him he's too old. I just .. said that – maybe – modern communication was something he – uh – grew out of.”, you tried to explain.
“Yeah – you told him he's an old man.”, Jinyoung concluded and chuckled.
“At least I'm not an ass-kisser.”, you sighed and winked at Jinyoung before looking back on your clock to see when your bus would finally save you from this freezing hell. “Ouch. I'm not an ass-kisser.”, Jinyoung protested. “Yeah right. 'You're so right, Mr. Lee. We should all work on our communication skills without using emoticons'” you imitated Jinyoung's words from the seminar, trying to copy his exact sound.
“Wow, you should go into voice acting, definitely sounded like me.”, you heard him say and looked back up at him, only to see him furrow his brows., “You know, if university doesn't work out for you.”, he added teasingly and grinned at you. You rolled your eyes at him, continuing to breathe air into your palms before rubbing them together to feel at least some warmth until the bus arrived.
“Are you cold?”, Jinyoung asked after you didn't reply to his comment and got silent, “don't you have gloves?”, he added and you bluntly looked at him. “I wouldn't be cold if I didn't miss the bus – because of you.” you stated. “Come here.”, you heard the boy next to you say and blinked a few times when you watched how he took your freezing hands into his, trying to give you some of his warmth. For a second, you were actually surprised how warm his hands were despite the cold, before staring at your intertwined hands. Jinyoung rubbed his palms over your skin softly, before looking into your eyes, making you feel how warmth wandered up to your cheeks. “Why are you blushing?”, he asked and you nearly chocked on your spit. “I'm not blushing! I'm cold.” you said, your voice stuttering more than you wanted it to. You saw a wide smile appear on his features and chuckled slightly to cover up the awkward nervousness you've suddenly felt.
“Well then let me help you.”, Jinyoung said, smiling at you. He let go of your hands for a second to unzip his jacket, which made you raise your brows at him. “Here, put your arms around me.”, he said, pointing at his open jacket, gesturing you to come closer. “Trust me, I'm warm.”, he chuckled and winked at you, which made you chuckle at him. “Pff, You wish.”, you scoffed and grinned at him. “You never know if you never try, though.”, Jinyoung chuckled and with a small roll of your eyes you shifted closer to him, wrapping your arms carefully around his waist, enjoying the warmth radiating from his body, as he loosely wrapped his arms around you. You laughed at the absurdness of the moment and felt how Jinyoung's chest started to vibrate as he also joined your laughter. “I don't want to force myself on you or any thing but do you want to grab a coffee?”, you heard him ask and for a moment your laugh got silent, when a smile appeared on your lips.

06.24am on Christmas morning. You tried your absolute best to sneak out of your bed, in which your boyfriend was still peacefully sleeping, small snores leaving his mouth. You grinned and placed the softest kiss on his messy, black hair before you walked out of the room, silently closing the door behind you to not wake Taehyung up yet. He wasn't getting enough sleep lately anyway, so each second he could stay peaceful like that was precious. For the last weeks – if not months – his schedule was hectic and just bursting at all seams. You got it, though. You knew how a life with him was going to be, but your love for him was stronger than anything else. So, you decided to surprise him. Taehyung loved Christmas. He loved how the weather got chilly and the beautiful street decorations, which he thought of being just straight out of a fairy tale. You know how much the holidays mean to him, even though he can rarely celebrate them.
You pulled out a box, which you've carefully hid in your big floor closet, filled with different Christmas decorations. From Christmas lights, to cheesy Santa figures and even a fake Christmas tree, everything was there. The last days, you spent your time running from store to store to buy decorations and scented candles which smelled like cinnamon and oranges. Careful not to make any noise you started to put up the soft lights across your living room before you put the Christmas tree right in the middle of it, decorating it with red and golden baubles, tinsel and a garland. You carefully arranged the decorations until the tree looked like you wanted it. You continued with the cheesy Santa's, placing them all over the room and grinned, you were absolutely sure he'd love it.
Christmas wasn't Christmas without lots of candles, you thought. So you scattered the candles all across the room before lighten them up. You closed your eyes and hummed in approvement when the sweet scent of cinnamon and oranges hit your nose. You enjoyed the scent for a view seconds before turning the fairy lights on and scrolled through your phone, looking for Christmas songs. You decided for a playlist and looked at the clock. You weren't sure how long Taehyung would be asleep for but you slowly got excited, eager to see his reaction to your work. You even placed the presents you've bought for him under the tree, clapping your hands quietly. When you finished your work you looked over the room for a moment. The sun was just slowly getting up when you looked outside the window, as your ears heard a small creaking noise coming from the floor.
You rushed over to Taehyung, before he could take a glance at your surprise and stood right in front of him. Seemingly tired he rubbed his eyes and gifted you a sleepy smile. “Why are you up so early?”, he muttered and pulled you by your hands into a quick hug, humming in your hair before giving you a small kiss. “I've got a surprise for you.”, you whispered and felt Taehyung shift in front of you. You pulled away from him, not letting go of his soft hand and grinned. “Close your eyes! Don't cheat.”, you said before he could even form another sentence. You saw the confusion in his brown eyes but lastly he shrugged his shoulders and did like you told him to, a small smile on his lips.
You softly pulled him by his hand, guiding him to the living room, stopping in your tracks as soon as you entered the door. “Open your eyes.”, you whispered inside his ear after kissing his cheek quickly.
The moment Taehyung opened his eyes you saw how they grew wide. The corners of his mouth quickly formed into a huge smile, his eyes starting to twinkle as his gaze wandered over the decorations. He gasped in surprise, walking up to each of your decorations. He looked at the candles and took a deep breath, humming happily. He even grinned at the Santas, even touching them carefully. You chuckled behind him, his big eyes and speechlessness reminding you of a young kid who experienced Christmas for the first time. “Did you prepare this?”, he asked when he found his voice.
You nodded and smiled proudly at him. “Yeah, I made it for you.”
“This is so beautiful. Thank you.”, he breathed and let his gaze wonder over your own little Christmas world. “Well, I know how much you like the holidays. And you were so busy the past weeks, so I've decided to surprise you with a little Christmas feeling.”, you chuckled and felt how Taehyung intertwined his fingers with yours. “I love it.”, he whispered as he pulled you into a tight hug, his head nuzzled in your hair. “And I love you. You're incredible.”, he added and a smile graced your lips as you wrapped your arms around him, hugging him back. “I love you too, Tae.”, you answered softly, your love for him feeling just as strong as ever.
He moved his head to look into your eyes, the huge smile still prominent on his face. You could see the love and affection towards you in his glistening eyes, falling in love with you once more. His soft lips found yours, gently pulling you into his loving embrace again. You smiled into the kiss, starting to slightly chuckle when he placed small, soft kisses over your face. “This is the best Christmas ever.” he whispered before his lips found their place on yours once more.

To say that Namjoon was nervous would be the understatement of the year. For months now, he's had the biggest crush on you – and everyone knew. Except for you. He remembered the day Yoongi introduced you as his new neighbour so clearly in his mind. The way you talked, voice soft and charming like a fairy, completely putting him under your spell. He was hooked immediately. He liked the way you talked with such grace and maturity. The way you saw things just like him, from simple things like food over to books and even the deepest philosophical questions. He couldn't resist from admiring you, following your mouth with every movement, lulled by every word falling from your plumb lips. He was mesmerized by the way you delicately moved your hands while speaking and how your long, wavy hair just fell down your shoulders in the most perfect way. For him, your were the perfect mixture of smart and sexy, just like he always imagined a women who would peak his interest. Yet, he saw your sweet side, like when you passionately talked about your loved ones and job. He even has a blurred memory of you blushing while talking to him, making his heart melt once and for all.
His friends teased him endlessly about him not having the courage to ask you out. Every time you met in your small group of friends they exchanged conspicuously inconspicuous looks with each other, wiggling their brows at him. It annoyed him. So he knew, today was the day he finally grew some balls and made a move – indirectly. It was holiday season and like every year his friends and him threw a small Christmas party at his place. He wasn't the most creative person when it came to decorations so of course he asked for help. “Is everyone coming tonight?”, Taehyung asked him while putting up some simple fairy lights on the walls. “Yeah, I think so.”, Namjoon answered, his hands fumbling with a mistletoe he bought in a store just a few hours ago. “Do you wanna hang that up?”, he heard a smirk in Taehyungs voice, who obviously knew about his crush on you. “Ah, I don't know, Tae.”, Namjoon sighed, a hand running through his hair desperately. “What if she doesn't see it?” he asked and looked up at his friend who looked down at him and chuckled. “Then you need to make her see it. Just hang it somewhere obvious – but not too obvious.”, his friend answered and looked across the room, “You could put it in the kitchen door. Not too obvious but easy to get her under it.”, he added and Namjoon scratched his chin, thinking about what his friend said.
“I guess.”, he just mumbled and pinned it on the door frame. He wasn't sure if it would work. And even if he managed to get her under the mistletoe – would she even kiss him? What if she ignore it or just laughed?
“Stop worrying so much. I'm pretty sure she likes you too. We all are, honestly.”, he heard Taeyhung say after hanging up the lights and coming down from the ladder he stood on. “Why are you so sure about it? Have you seen her?”, Namjoon sighed, burying his face in his hands for a quick second to let out a frustrated groan. “Yeah I have. That's why I'm sure. Everyone can see how clearly you two are just pining for each other but obviously lack some balls.”, Taehyung said to cheer up his friend and chuckled as soon as Namjoon shot an annoyed look at him.
Namjoon felt how his nervousness rose with each second passing by and the evening just kept going and going without him even exchanging one word with you, except for a quick Hi when you arrived at his place. He stared at the drink in his hand, taking a small sip, eyes following your every step. You weren't even making the slightest move towards the kitchen and he started to get frustrated. Why couldn't he just ask you out like a normal guy would? Your simple presence made him feel like a lost child, trying to get your attention yet being too shy to actually initiate a conversation. All he did, was listen to you when you talked and agree quietly. He wasn't even sure if you every listened to him when he talked. He even felt a bit confident as the party came closer but as soon as you walked through that door, wearing a dark red dress with a perfectly matched lipstick, delicate golden accessories complimenting your skin tone, looking just way too gorgeous to be true, his confidence was gone, being a complete flustered mess.
“Okay, honestly. Make a move now.”, he heard Taehyung whisper next to him. “How? She's not even close to the kitchen.”, Namjoon answered and sighed. He wanted to add something but nearly choked on his own salvia when he saw you walking up to him. He coughed before smiling at you, forgetting how to speak for a brief second. “Nice place.”, you said with that angelic voice of yours. Taehyung excused himself, leaving you two in the living room without him. “Oh, thanks.”, he said, scratching his neck nervously. He tried his best to just calm his breath and not stare at you for too long. “I saw your book collection. It's really impressive! I even saw some of my own favourites in it.”, you chuckled and smiled at him once more but this time it really felt like his heart skipped a beat. The way you charmingly smiled at him, made his legs feel all jiggly. “Really? I can lend you some. I mean, ones you haven't read already, of course.”, he chuckled and placed his drink down on a small coffee table. “Ah, that would be sweet. There are some I don't know yet but they look really interesting.”, you said and he watched how you carefully put a strand of hair behind your ear.
He knew this was his chance he just couldn't blow it. “Um, are you hungry? I got some snacks in the kitchen.”, he tried to keep his voice as calm and down as possible but when you nodded and smiled once more he felt how he nearly bit his tongue in excitement. He felt how you walked next to him to the kitchen, his eyes fixated on the mistletoe in front of you. Just a few steps further and he had you right under it – just a few meters until he had a chance of finally kissing you. Anxiety filled his body shortly after, afraid of getting rejected by you – the women he liked just so much. But if he didn't try now, he probably wouldn't ever. So, just as soon as you stepped into the door frame he looked up and chuckled. “Oh wow – who put that mistletoe up there?”, he laughed and scratched his neck once more, before nervously looking at you, seeing how your eyes looked up at the mistletoe before back at him, the corners of your mouth forming into a small grin. “A mistletoe? I guess we have to kiss now, don't we?”, he blinked a few times, trying to process what you just said to him. His lips curled into a big smile, feeling how his friends stared holes in his back. He cleared his throat, looking at you again, locking his gaze with yours. When he saw you smiling at him, his heart just melt right there in his chest. He carefully cupped your head in his hands, slowly bending down slightly, his breath starting to hitch, before finally connecting his lips with yours. It was like a wave hit him. The way your soft, plump lips felt on his, tasting sweet and endearing. His body filled with a warmth, which spread through his veins, making him feel happy. He was finally kissing you, still unable to fully believe it was really happening right here, right now. It might sound like a cliché but he really felt like a thousand butterflies were set free inside of his stomach. After a few seconds he slowly pulled away, looking back into your eyes seeing them glow as soon as you opened them.
“Finally.” he heard you whisper before locking his lips with yours once more.

❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄
“I'm totally getting drunk tonight.” you exclaimed in annoyance, helping Felix to put some snacks on the table. “Mind telling me why?”, your friend asked grabbing some of the alcohol bottles he had in his cupboards, to place them near the snacks. “Dude, I'm studying like crazy. My life's basically books.”, you groaned, while placing down cups, “but apparently I'm not good enough to get in the top rankings. But guess who is? Hyunjin. Again!”, frustration swang in your voice, as you spoke about your long-time rival.
“He's not even studying!”, you added, throwing your arms in the air. Felix chuckled next to you, a grin gracing his face. “You really need to let off some steam.”, he said, making you roll your eyes at him. “I don't have time for such distraction.”, you hissed and looked at the clock, pretty sure that your friends will arrive soon to your small gathering.
“I don't even get why you're so annoyed by Hyunjin. We're in the same group of friends after all. And I honestly think you two would hit it off-”, you stopped Felix in his sentence, putting a hand on his mouth to keep it silent for a second.
“He annoys me because he doesn't study and is still beating me in every single seminar. That's fucking unfair. Plus, he is arrogant and annoying.”, you muttered, a sigh leaving your lips as you waited for the doorbell to finally ring. If you were being totally honest, you weren't even sure why exactly Hyunjin was taking your last nerve. Maybe it was the way he always grinned at you in that stupid cheeky way whenever you had to take an exam. Or maybe how he always asked about the rankings in the group chat – even though he were perfectly aware of the fact that he was better than you. Every. Single. Time. But maybe it was how he always tried to tease you every chance he got. And maybe – just maybe, because he was ridiculously good-looking for being such a pain in the ass.
When the doorbell finally rang you rushed out of the kitchen, hearing Felix laugh behind you. The first person who greeted you was your best friend, two bottles of eggnog in her arms. “Damn, you do know what I need.”, you chuckled as you hugged her. “I always do, love.”, she winked and pecked your cheek before disappearing in the kitchen, greeting Felix. The rest of the group just walked in after her, greeting you with hugs and even more booze. Last but not least, Hyunjin entered the door and grinned at you. “Just saw the new rankings.”, he clicked his tongue, sighing at you while walking past you, “I'm still at number one.”, he whispered into your ear, before entering the kitchen as well, leaving you behind. Ass.
You felt Felix's eyes on you as soon as you entered the kitchen as he handed you a glass of eggnog. “Exactly what I need.”, you mumbled and took the cup, taking big sips, enjoying the sweet flavour on your tongue.
“I honestly thought I might fail that one sociology exam. I swear, I didn't study a bit.”, you heard Hyunjin brag to Minho but you clearly saw how he looked at you with that stupid grin on his stupidly beautiful lips. “Yeah, right.”, you snorted before rolling your eyes at him, taking another sip from your drink, trying to keep you sane. “I'm sure you'll be better than me the next time.”, he said, shrugging his shoulders before chuckling.
“You know what's better than sex?”, your best friend whispered in your ear, making you jump slightly as you didn't even hear her appearing next to you. “Angry sex. Letting off some steam, you know.”, she added, wiggling her brows at you. You rolled your eyes as hard as humanly possible and grabbed a second cup full of eggnog after already finishing the first one.
Your eyes wandered over to Hyunjin, who casually leaned against the wall, talking to Minho and Felix. He wore his longer blonde hair in a loose ponytail, messy strands of hair falling down on his shoulders in soft waves. You let your gaze continue to wander over his figure, how his black leather pants hugged his figure and how his fitted shirt showed off his upper body. “I'm telling you.”, your friend whispered still right by your side, obviously following your gaze, “If I were single, you know.”, you freed your gaze from Hyunjin's figure and looked at her brown eyes, which winked at you. “God, stop it. He's arrogant and annoying.”, you sighed, before biting your tongue. You looked up for a second, just to meet Hyunjin's gaze, which nonchalantly eyed you just the way you did with him, before a mild grin appeared on his face and he looked back to his friends. Damn it.
An hour later you were peacefully munching on some crackers your friend handed you between your cups of eggnog. “Oh wow, I see an empty cup and that's a crime!”, you heard Felix say, dramatically putting his hand on his heart to show his shock. “I already had-”, you started your sentence, but Felix interrupted you, “Nonsense! You need more!”, and before you could protest he filled your cup and chuckled as soon as you took your first sip.
You started to feel the warmth inside of you, leaving you all fuzzy. For a moment you felt like your mind wasn't about studying and grades, which you enjoyed to the fullest. You let your eyes wander through the room, watching how your friend was nuzzled against Chan's arm, while talking to him and how Minho tried to play Jenga against Changbin but lost for the third time in a row, which let the boys around them laugh out loudly. You chuckled, watching how he pouted and said that Changbin was probably cheating or else he wouldn't be able to win. Your eyes searched for Felix and maybe even for Hyunjin - which you would obviously never admit in a sober state of mind, but you couldn't see either of them.
As your bladder was filled with alcohol you naturally needed to go to the bathroom for a moment. Staying in front of the sink you checked your Make-Up you put on fro the night, after washing your hands. You slowly turned your face from side to side, checking if everything was still set and looking okay-ish. You left the bathroom with a small smile on your lips, heading through the floor until you suddenly had to stop in your tracks as Hyunjin nearly ran into you.
“Oh sorry, didn't see you there.”, he said with a small chuckle. You rolled your eyes. “Yeah.”
“You look really pretty tonight.”, you heard him say and for a second you thought you lost your ability to breath. ´”What?”, you asked furrowing your brows. “I said, that you look really pretty tonight.”, he repeated calmly.
“So I'm usually ugly?”, you snorted back at him.
“No. You actually look pretty every day but especially tonight.”, he answered, scratching the back of his head.
“Yeah, stop making fun of me, idiot.”, you rolled your eyes, wanting to go back to the others but your legs just didn't want to move.
“I'm not making fun of you-”, he started.
“Seriously, shut up, Hyunjin.”, you interrupted his sentence, “Honestly, you're an arrogant and annoying ass.”, you snorted, feeling how the booze in your system made you feel way more confident than you used to be.
“What annoys you about me?”, he asked you while moving a step closer to you.
“Everything. Your teasing and always being better than me, without actually studying.”, you started but you felt how your voice got just a tad shakier when you felt him shifting in front of you.
“Honestly, it's unfair. Would be easier you if you weren't that hot.”, you said before even realizing what words left your mouth. The alcohol in your system not even letting you feel ashamed over what you said.
Hyunjin chuckled in front of you. “Did you just call me hot?”, he asked but you shook your head.
“Nope. That's the eggnog speaking. Not me.”, you laughed and tried to focus your eyes on anything else beside his body who was moving dangerously close to yours.
“Ah, bummer.”, he sighed in front of you, “would be great if it were you speaking.”, he added and a small smile graced his lips.
“Why?”, you asked, your eyes finally able to actually look at his.
“Well, because I wouldn't feel stupid for saying that I actually think you're attractive, too.”, he chuckled once more.
“What?” you asked, completely dumbfounded, not quite sure if you're brain was even able to process this conversation.
“Jeez, I'm kinda confessing here. Would you mind meeting me halfway here?”, he sighed. At first you were annoyed but as soon as you saw his lips turn into a small smile you just blinked at him, realizing that he maybe wasn't even making fun of you at all.
“Hyunjin.”, you said slowly, “You're annoying. And arrogant.”, you said, replying what just came out of your mouth minutes ago.
“Yeah, you already said that. Thank you, by the way. It's not like I was complimenting you or anything.”, he responded.
“Annoying. Arrogant. Stupid.”, you whispered, while staring at Hyunjins face, your eyes wandering over every of his features. His deep brown eyes, with that small mole under his left one.
His small nose and those perfectly shaped, stupid lips on which your gaze rested for a couple seconds. You secretly wondered how they would actually feel on yours. You wanted to know how the fabric of his shirt felt under your hands and his bare skin under your fingertips. You needed to know how it felt like, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him towards you and how it would feel to have his slender hands on your body.
“I'm curious.”, you whispered as you moved closer to him until you could feel his breath on you cheek. Your eyes wandered back to his, which were locked on you. You felt how one of his hands cupped your cheek, his thumb softly running over your bottom lip, leaving you with goosebumps. Your breath quickened, when you let your hand rest on his chest, feeling his heart beating rapidly in his chest. You let your hand wander up over his shoulder to let it rest on his neck, until you slowly pulled him closer to you until your lips finally connected with his.
They were soft and tasted sweet like eggnog, gently moving against yours in perfect sync. Your other hand joined the one already resting on his neck, pressing him even closer to you, which made him smile softly into the kiss. Hyunjin's hands wandered down your back, until they rested on your hips. Chills went down your spine, warmth slowly spreading through your body which wasn't coming from the alcohol. It felt like you were finally doing that one thing your body and heart told you to do so many times but you never gave in - until now.
Just when you thought about how good it actually felt to kiss him, he moved his lips away from yours, his eyes looking at yours.
“Curiosity satisfied?”, he whispered. You looked at him for a moment, letting your hands wander over the fabric of his shirt until you let them rest on his chest. Your hands shortly continued their way over his arms, until your hands were over his, which were still resting on your hips. He let you intertwine your fingers with his, leaving you in complete control over the situation. You looked over his face again, feeling an urge to just place a kiss on his skin, so you placed them on his neck for a quick second, leaving soft, quick kisses on his jawline and his cheek. “Not quite.”, you whispered back at him, before pressing your lips on his again but this time you wanted more, you needed more, completely unbothered by the fact that you were still standing in the floor of your apartment at a party.
His lips were just as soft as before, slowly moving against yours, making you hum. You wrapped your arms around his neck again, his arms now gently around your waist, pressing you closer to his body to eliminate the air between them. You had to admit, kissing Hyunjin felt amazing. Like something you've wanted and waited for. You enjoyed how gentle he was, even when he smoothly let his tongue slip into your mouth for a moment, deepening the kiss, leaving your body with goosebumps all over again. Even now, he let you take control, kissing in your own tempo and exactly how you wanted and needed it.
He let you wander your hands over his upper body, exploring the softness of his skin. You wanted to touch every inch of his body, the urge to feel him nearly overwhelming you. Between all the teasing and glancing, all the cheeky grins and smirks you were curious. Curious how it would feel to feel that pretty mouth of his on yours.
You enjoyed the physical sensation, how his hands gently stroke your back, until they reached for your head, holding you tightly. You were surprised about the gentleness of his hands, about the way he touched you.
“More.”, you whispered between kisses, feeling how Hyunjin smiled against your lips. You lightly dug your fingers in his neck, connecting your lips again, feeling how his tongue entered your mouth once more. This time, you felt more pressure behind his kiss, as if he waited for you to allow him to do so. His hands slid down the sides of your torso, sending chills over yogr body, before resting on your hips. You felt how his grip tightened a little bit more and you smirked before grinding your body against his. A small gasp escaped his mouth and you wondered what other sounds you could possible coax out of it. You could feel how his kisses increased in intensity, his lips always connecting with yours, his tongue gently playing with yours. You needed to know what sinful things those lips were able to do.
“Oh my God. Finally!”, you jumped away from Hyunjin, heart beating rapidly in your chest, as soon as you heard Felix yelling from the other side of the floor. “Jeez, this took way too long.”, he added and sighed in relief. Another head popped up next to him, belonging to your best friend, which raised a fist and smiled.
“Dude, I said eggnogg is the solution!” you stared at the two of them while listening to some excited screams from the kitchen as soon as the others saw you, too.
“You owe me a 20, Minho!”, your best friend screamed back at the kitchen and started to laugh. “I swear, I made like a hundred bucks tonight.”. She looked at you and Hyunjin, giving you a cheeky smile. “Anyway, we don't want to disturb you two any longer so we will be hanging out in the kitchen.”, she wiggled her brows, “with the doors closed and music playing so please, continue.”
Felix laugh halls through the floor before he turned around and closed the door to the kitchen behind the group, leaving you alone with Hyunjin again.
“Not awkward at all.”, you whispered to Hyunjin, whose arm was around your waist. You looked at each other and immediately started laughing together at the absurdness of the whole situation.
“I can't believe they actually made bets with money,”, he responded, placing a soft kiss on your temple. You smiled, closing your eyes for a moment.
“So, what do you wanna do now?”, you asked him, looking at his twinkling eyes.
“Continue?”, he answered with a grin before wrapping both of his arms around you again, and placing his lips on yours once more.

“Honey, you sure about that coat?”, Jimin asked you, eyebrows furrowed as you checked your outfit in the mirror. “Yeah, why?”, you pouted, watching over your clothes yet again. “Doesn't it look good?”, you asked and looked at your boyfriend who chuckled softly. “No, it looks amazing but it's quite cold outside and you'll probably be freezing.”, Jimin's arms wrapped around your waist, his head resting on your shoulder as he looked at you through the mirror. “But I just bought it and want to wear it. Don't worry, I won't freeze.”, you reassured him, taking one of his hands up to your mouth to place a soft kiss on the tips of his fingers, making him hum in approvement.
“Well, don't whine to me when you're cold.”, he sighed with a cheeky smile on his lips, knowing exactly that you would get cold sooner or later. But you also knew, that he loved lending you his jacket, being the caring boyfriend he was. Yet, he enjoyed teasing you, but you couldn’t complain. You chuckled as he kissed your temple before grabbing your hand to get you out of the apartment to meet outside with his friends.
“Finally, guys! What took you so long?”, Jeongguk asked as soon as you reached the waiting group of people in front of your apartment. “They probably were busy.”, Jin laughed while winking suggestively at the both of you, earning himself a small slap on his arm. “How old are you? 12?”, Namjoon immediately scolded him, but you just laughed and tucked your arm into your boyfriends', who rolled his eyes at his friends.
You continued your walk with the group throughout the city, watching the beautiful Christmas lights twinkling in the store windows and chain of lights hanging in the streets. You tried to enjoy the atmosphere as much as you could but you weren't able to oppress your body shivering.

You heard a small chuckle next to you and looked up to Jimin.
“You cold?”, he asked and grinned at you. “No-”, you answered and poked out your tongue at your boyfriend you laughed.
“Okay, maybe a little bit.” you admitted after a few minutes, looking at Jimin with big eyes and a small pout. “Hey Jimin.”, you slightly pulled at his arm until he looked at you, a warm smile on his beautiful lips. “You want my jacket?”, he asked and stopped walking for a moment, not even waiting for you to answer, as he quickly took of his own jacket to hand it over to you. You smiled at him, thankfully taking his jacket to put it over your cold.
“Thank you, love. But now you're freezing yourself, aren't you?”, you said, watching him only in his sweater. “It's fine. We can go home soon and you can warm me up, okay?”, he said, an arm around your waist, pressing your body closer to his before kissing the top of your head softly, which let the other boys howl next to you. “Oh my God, get a room!”, Jin yelled, teasing you once again with a laugh. You smiled back at him, pecking Jimin's cheek, which made the oldest groan dramatically. You joined in the laughter of the group, continuing your stroll through the streets, always closely pressed against Jimin's side, already looking forward to getting home and warm him up.
Hii! I'm the anon who requested twice and when you did my first request you told me to specify what I want, I didn't specify my ask since I like to give authors the space and freedom for their imagination so you can decide what to do with it🤗💕

Part of my Seasonal Request Special – Winter Edition 2020.
a/n: starting off my Special with this cute drabble. Dear Anon, I really hope you enjoy it and it's how you imagined it! I hope to finish your second request, soon. It would mean a lot, if you'd tell me how you like this one! I hope you have a great holiday season ❄️❤️
❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄ ❄
It was not only the first winter you experienced in Seoul, it was also the first time you spent the holiday season with your boyfriend Jeongguk. Even though you were dating for over a year now, you weren't able to come to Seoul during winter last year. For your whole life, you wished nothing but see snow for the first time, as this wonder of nature didn't exist on your side of the world. Always being jealous of the typical Christmas movies you never got tired of. You looked up videos of snowed in cities, the sounds of footsteps on the snow, the magical atmosphere it left with people.
You were sad, sitting at the other side of the world with no Christmas, no snow and no Jeongguk. But this year was different. Your relationship blossomed even more over the months, making you stay over the winter to spend this precious time with him right by your side. It was freezing cold outside, the sky already pitch black when you strolled through the busy streets next to him, his fingers intertwined with his, resting in the inside of his jackets' pockets so they wouldn't freeze. The street lanterns and different Christmas lights and decorations spending soft light for the both of you.
Jeongguk never left your side for a second, looking up to you from time to time to gift you a beautiful smile, which made you feel warm from the inside. Just when you strolled down the streets you suddenly stood still, making him stop in his tracks immediately. Your eyes gone wide, looking up at the street lantern in which you could see small, soft white snowflakes falling down the sky. Jeongguk saw how your eyes started to glistened and you pulled out your hand, trying to catch one of these beautiful white flakes. “I – I never saw snow before.”, you said, you're voice being nothing more than a soft whisper. “It looks so beautiful.”, you said in awe, your eyes focusing on the snowflakes, watching them dance through the sky, falling down to the ground. For a second, the ones you caught with your hands just sat there on your cold skin, allowing you to watch them closely before melting.
A small smile graced your lips as you watched this situation repeating itself over and over, more snowflakes forming up. It felt magical, maybe even surreal. You felt a pair of cold lips on your temple and an arm around your waist. You freed yourself from the mesmerizing dance of snowflakes and looked up to your boyfriend who watched you lovingly. “It's not as beautiful as you, though.”, he chuckled and a faint blush appeared on his soft features. He slowly bend down to press his lips carefully on yours, as you wrapped your arms around his neck, loosing yourself in this perfect moment. At this point you were sure: dreams do come true.

Ch. 1 || Ch. 2 ||
Taeyong sighed, resting his back against the wall of the café. He looked down to his feet, listening to the conversation the two girls had, while hiding in the back room, to avoid looking at them. Yes, he felt a bit ashamed for eavesdropping but was it really eavesdropping if he would understand every word anyway? He didn't even have to try to specifically listen to them. The café was quiet, just some cozy music playing in the background – nothing that would distract his sensitive senses.
He let the back of his head fall against the wall, his eyes now facing the ceiling when someone came into the room.
“You good?”, Jaehyun said and Taeyong nodded at his friend, straightening himself up and walking up to the table, thinking if he should just make some more pastries to keep his thoughts collected and senses calm.
He saw how Jaehyuns eyes were glued to the small doorway arch, leading into the main room of the café. Taeyong knew that he was listening as well. How couldn't he?
“Did you know that she was back?”, Taeyong asked, raising one of his brows, looking directly into Jaehyuns eyes when he turned his head away from the noise and towards his friend.
Jaehyun kept silent for a minute and bit his lip. Taeyong knew, that he couldn't lie to him. Well, he could try.
“It's fine if you don't want to tell me.”, Taeyong added softly and let a small smile escape his lips.
Taeyong looked away, not wanting to disturb his friend much longer.
“Strange, isn't it? Why did she come back now?”, Jaehyun asked quietly, starting to set up some hot water to get himself some tea.
“I don't know.”, he answered, his voice sounding dry.
He felt how Jaehyun looked at him.
“It doesn't matter, as long as you won't let her out of your sight.”, Taeyong added and sighed.
“Of course I won't. I didn't let her out of my sight for the past years now, just how you told me to do. But it's not like we're that close or something. She rarely really talks to me anyway.”, Jaehyun answered truthfully.
“I know. You don't need to tell me what you're doing if you don't want to, Jaehyun. I won't force you to tell me.”, Taeyong tried to smile again, not letting his emotions out of control for a brief second. He knew, that Jaehyun knew he was hiding something, yet he didn't further ask him anything.
These years ago, after the incident, Taeyong needed to change something. He knew that she was at risk of getting hurt. But Johnny was incapable of even talking about her, after what happened. Taeyong just had to know how safe she was in New York, so he entrusted her safety with Jaehyun. The boy knew, what could happen if he sent Jaehyun but he couldn't care about his own feelings. It wasn't right. So he didn't.
Yet, it was indeed strange that she decided to come back for now. It was even stranger that no one seemed to feel the need to tell him. He could understand them, though. None of them knew his part of the whole story – not even Johnny. And that's how it was supposed to be. Still, he wished someone had told him so he could prepare. But as much as he was worried to show anything, he knew that she wasn't able to see it anyway. However, the encounter with her wasn't how it was supposed to be. The way she looked at him, he could see her emotions written all over her soft face. She remembered something in the back of her head. He sighed slightly, trying to think about what he'd done wrong. It wasn't usually like this. She was supposed to see him as a complete stranger.
“You want some tea?”, he heard Jaehyun ask and shook his head. It wasn't like they needed it anyway, yet he knew that Jaehyun enjoyed the taste of it.
They both looked up as they heard how the girls stood up and brought their plates and cups to the counter. They noticed how Ava stood still for a moment, before leaving the café.
“Do you think it's a good idea to let her come to the party?”, Jaehyun asked after he took a sip of his tea.
“Well, you can't un-invite her. As long she won't be left alone, nothing will happen.”, Taeyong patted his friend's shoulder before going out to collect the dirty dishes and putting them in the sink where he started to clean them.
“Ah, Johnny's outside.”, Taeyong said as he sensed the presence of his friend right outside the back door. “Would you mind picking up some books from the store?”, he added and looked at Jaehyun, who was staring it him for a second too long. Both heard that Ava was probably going there right this second.
The room got silent for a while, only filled with the noise of running water and the scrubbing of the sponge, Taeyong cleaned the dishes with.
“Fine.”, Jaehyun sighed, not able to say no, even though Taeyong didn't do anything.
Taeyong listened how both of them went to the store next door and finished doing the dishes and putting them back in the shelves where they belong.
It wasn't easy for him to see Ava after this time, yet he just had to pretend he rarely knew her. Honestly, he wasn't even sure if he'd knew her at all. All these memories he buried in the last corner of his brain, where they should just fade slowly, but they simply weren't as slowly fading as he wished for. It was tiring for him. Way easier, when she wasn't in the small town, though. He even resisted from asking how things where going whenever Jaehyun had some news. He just pretended he didn't care at all. It would be way too awkward and exhausting if he'd tell them. It was for the best just like things were.
Maybe she wasn't staying for long anyway, maybe it was just a short visit whatsoever. But deep down he knew it wasn't. He was a little uneasy thinking about the part, maybe even anxious. It wasn't like he thought their house was a dangerous place, yet he preferred to let her stay out of it for as long as possible. He sighed and looked at the clock, thinking about how he would survive for the next hours with his head full of thoughts.
Lost in thought, he cleaned the tables. Was it insensitive for him to send Jaehyun and Johnny together when he knew she was there? Maybe. But it wasn't his cup of tea, honestly. He didn't want to interfere with their lives, especially not hers. The years went by and she got more grown-up, he thought, probably much stronger than before, so she'd knew what was best for her. Or at least, that's what he wished for.
He knew that the city she knew changed and it wouldn't take long until she started to ask questions. Things happened, life went on. Taeyong wanted nothing more than to protect her from all these things which had happened and will happen but he wasn't in the position to do so. He just hoped time went by quickly and she'd return to a city where she was safe. Well, safer than here.
Taeyong could easily hear how Johnny and Jaehyun came through the backdoor again, their hands full with books. He could tell the shifting atmosphere between them and watched how Johnny just quickly nodded at him before bringing the books into the café, placing them in the intended bookshelf on the wall at the back.
Taeyong sighed and looked at Jaehyun who just shrugged his shoulders and completed his task the same way Johnny did.
“Why did you tell her to come?”, he heard Johnny ask Jaeyhun as both of them joined Taeyong in the back.
“Well, technically I didn't tell her. Her friend invited her beforehand.”, Jaehyun chuckled and tried to avoid Taeyong's staring gaze.
“You do realize I'm not blind, don't you?”, Johnny hissed and Taeyong saw how his jaw clenched. Johnny wasn't good at hiding his emotions. He never really was.
“I know.”, Jaehyun answered plainly and leaned against a big table in the middle of the room.
“I don't know what you want. Do you want to make me mad?”, Johnny's voice was strained, he got angry. Taeyong avoided to look directly at his friend, continuing to listen to their conversation, even though he didn't even want to hear it at this time.
“Jeez, not everything is about you, Johnny.”, Jaehyun said annoyed, running his hand through his dark hair and sighing, looking at Taeyong, asking him for help but Taeyong just turned around and headed outside of the door.
He obviously didn't tell Johnny about the task he obliged Jaehyun with as he honestly didn't think of them to collide like this any time soon. He sighed and stood in front of the back door for some time, fighting with himself if he should listen to their conversation or not.
“Since when are you close to her anyway? I never even see you talk to her.”, he heard Johnny ask Jaehyun.
“You mean because you talked to her so much the last years?”, Jaehyun chuckled, “Honestly, you should seriously get your shit together. She won't wait forever, you know.”
The door opened in front of Taeyong and Jaehyun stared at him before closing it behind him, leaving Johnny alone in the room.
“I won't ask you to tell me why you want me to do this.”, Jaehyun sighed once more and started to walk next to Taeyong, who fell silent.

“Didn't you say it was a small gathering?”, Jaehyun said while watching more and more people casually walk into their house. Most of them had some kind of booze or snacks in their hands, everyone already seeming to feel a little lightheaded, as they started to laugh and dance to the music.
“Yeah, I might've told some people and you know-”, Lucas answered apologetic and pouted towards Jaehyun, who just rolled his eyes and patted Lucas' shoulder to signalize him that it was fine. He couldn't change it anyway now. Lucas face lit up and he smiled at Jaehyun, thanking him for being chill and cool, before wiggling his way through the mass of people, in which everyone seemed to know him.
Jaehyun's eyes followed the youngest with every step he took. He was young, just wanting to enjoy is life, Jaehyun thought, yet he knew that Lucas wasn't quite there yet. He still had his phases in which he still was unable to control himself. Not being able to control oneself, mixed with young people who were buzzed was a delicate matter. He did trust Lucas, though. He knew, that he would never hurt anyone on purpose and saw how much he tried to fit in and adjust to his life with them.
“No need to worry, he has a good day.”, Taeyongs voice appeared next to Jaehyun, who turned towards his friend and smiled mildly.
“He seems to be in a good mood.”, Jaehyun said, when looking at Lucas again, who was now standing amidst a group of people, probably telling some story or jokes. The music and people way too loud for him to focus on his hearing ability to listen to their exact conversation.
“Yeah, he kinda invited half of the town, as it seems.”, Taeyong said, scratching his neck
“I'm honestly surprised to see you down here anyway. You don't like parties.”, Jaehyun stated, his head turning towards his friend again who shrugged his shoulders, his eyes scanning the people in front of them.
“Just wanted to check in what's going on in my house. I'll probably go upstairs soon.”, he said after finishing his quick scan and look back at Jaehyun whose eyes were still on him, totally aware of the fact that he wasn't telling him something yet again.
Jaehyun let his eyes wander back at the room, watching how two of the local detectives came in together, where they immediately got greeted by some others. He watched how the girl took just a minimal step back, as soon as another girl stood next to her. The human didn't even notice it, just continuing with her talking but Jaehyun saw how the girl shifted every time another person was close to her. For a second, he looked back to Taeyong, whose eyes were focused on her as well.
Just as he looked back at her, her eyes met theirs and for a quick second, he felt something. A feeling in his stomach, a small burning, a signal. His muscles immediately tensed and he felt how his mouth got dry.
“Do you think she knows?”, Jaehyun whispered to Taeyong, whose muscles were clearly strained just like his.
“The question isn't if she knows. It's why and what exactly she knows.”, Taeyong answered and kept on looking back at the girl, “I'll be upstairs. Would you mind coming up later?”
Jaehyun looked at Taeyong for a second and nodded before his friend let the girl go an quickly walked the stairs up.
When he turned away, the girl and her friend were gone. He sighed and squinted his eyes, looking at his hands.
Taeyong closed the door to his bedroom behind him, quickly running up to his desk to search in the documents he so carefully made the last months, when things started to change in the town. He knew, something was about to happen. He felt it in his guts ever since that day when Lucas had to join them. Something happened that night – not only a transition but something more. He felt how a ritual took place inside a house somewhere in town, he just couldn't figure out where exactly. He searched the whole night but couldn't smell or hear anything at all in the middle of the town, which was more than suspicious to him, keeping in mind that his senses were so old and trained, he could hear noises hundreds of miles away. That's when he knew there had to be something non-human going on. Something magical.
Which was technically impossible, because the last real witch who lived in town has died and as of his knowledge she didn't have any children. It wasn't usual for witches to hold a ritual on some random night, no, they need to plan their rituals carefully and with months, if not years, of preparation, especially if it's a ritual to welcome a new member to their family.
He knew, that witches weren't evil and usually he got along with them for the past decades but the way the ritual took place and the fact that they used magic to shield their ritual from them made him think about the motives. It backed up his feeling that something was about to happen, something that the witches know about. Yet, he didn't know where they come from. They could've used magic for weeks to hide themselves from him and his friends. But why would they do this?
“Damn it.”, he whispered under gritted teeth, his eyes scanning his documentations from the past months, trying to figure out what they're planning. The fact, that the girl lived in town for years before made him feeling unwell. If they were somewhat able to hide her powers and family history to him, they could be up for more.
He sighed and walked up to his window, facing the front yard, watching cars pull up and people walk in. His gaze quickly caught two familiar figures in the dim light and saw how they slowly walked up to their entrance. Taeyong followed the movements of Ava for as long as he could, watching how she looked over the yard, while talking to her brother before they stepped inside.
A mild knock on his door made him look away, waiting for the person to walk into his room.
“She's a witch, isn't she?”, Jaheyun said and looked over at Taeyong, who let himself down on a chair.
“I think so, yeah.”, Taeyong sighed once more and watched how Jaehyun leaned himself against the door frame.
“She's talking to Ava.”, he added and the look in Taeyong's eyes changed for a quick second, before he closed his eyes and tried to collect his thoughts.
“Well, that's nothing we should be worried about.”, Taeyong finally answered and clicked his tongue. “You should probably know, that Ava doesn't have magical powers.”, he added and looked at Jaehyun, who just shrugged his shoulders.
“She could have, though. I didn't know that girl had them as well.”, Jaehyun said while letting his eyes wander through the room to keep them busy.
“She doesn't have powers.”, Taeyong stated once more, his voice firm as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.
“Maybe they aren't active, yet.”, Jaehyun tried to argue but as soon as he saw Taeyong's look he shut his mouth.
Taeyong knew that Ava couldn't be a witch but for now he didn't want Jaehyun to know more than he needed to at this point. He saw how Jaehyun rolled his eyes and sighed.
“Fine. I still think it's weird, that she's coming back to town just after the witches activate their powers.”, Jaehyun added.
“Of course it's problematic. Just try to keep an eye out for her. Especially tonight.”, Taeyong said and looked away, trying to put the memories back in the corner of his head.
“I will.”, Jaehyun said and as soon as Taeyong looked back at him, his friend turned around and walked back downstairs.
Taeyong sighed, standing up to look outside the window, before resting his head on the cold glass. His mind was way too loud for him to focus on one single thought or sense. It was a mixture of emotions, covering his thoughts like a thick mist. He needed to find out what was happening in the middle of the town, before his family got alerted. It was enough, that Jaehyun already sensed his uneasiness. He didn't need all of them to sense the distress he was going through. It was his task, his purpose, to keep the peace for as long as possible and he knew he couldn't risk any danger to it.
He closed his eyes for a second, trying to structure his thoughts. If Jaehyun sensed something, it wouldn't take long for the others to feel the same, especially now with that witch in their usually well guarded house. He needed to know what her motives were. Yet, he knew he couldn't underestimate her. Even when she was young and got her powers recently, he knew what they could do. Sooner or later he needed to talk to her. His eyes opened, fixating a small figure running out of the house. He saw how Ava practically stormed out, just to stand still for a second, her face turning towards the forest next to her. He furrowed his brows, her eyes were red, her blood pulsating rapidly in her body. Taeyong watched how she closed her eyes for a quick second, before walking straight forward into the woods.
He waited for a moment, looking after her shadow, which was quickly disappearing in the dark, where not even his eyes could follow. He could clearly see how upset she was. He sighed, realizing how stupid it was for her to come into this house.
Taeyong walked outside of his room, were he was greeted by Johnny standing next to Jaehyun in the small hallway upstairs.
Johnny's head was rested against the wall, his eyes squinted together, while Jaehyun just stood there next to him, arms crossed in front of his chest, eyes wandering towards Taeyong, who could see clearly how Johnny's breath hitched and how he tried to keep his emotions in control.
He thought about saying something, but he couldn't think of anything which might be helpful for Johnny. Noone could actually help him with his emotions or guilt. It was something he needed to figure out by himself, so Taeyong decided to leave them behind, making his way downstairs, quickly disappearing through the front door without someone noticing him.
He looked around, trying to make Ava's figure out but he couldn't. He furrowed his brows, following the path he saw her going at through his window. The music slowly disappeared behind him, making it easier for him to hear and try to find the girl. He stopped in his tracks when he suddenly heard noises somewhere around him. Footsteps. More than one. He knew the steps didn't belong to a human as he started to follow them, his heart starting to beat faster as he heard more noise moving further away.
Taeyong's breath started to hitch, his eyes scanning every inch in front of him, jumping from point to point, trying to get her tracks. His senses were on edge, he felt his body burning as he rushed through the woods in his supernatural speed, trying to follow the scent, which was already burned inside of him. He felt her emotions wandering through the air. He could clearly feel fear surrounding her, paired by fast, swift footsteps.
He heard bricks cracking under someone's steps, letting his legs carry him towards the sounds. He could hear her short breaths. His ears could hear how her heart beat rapidly in her chest, he could feel the terror running through her. Taeyong felt his body tense, his mind going blank when he heard the scream. A scream, so full of terror it felt like his blood froze in his veins.
His eyes scanned the surrounding, trying to see anything in the dark, which usually wasn't a problem but something felt off. It was, like he couldn't quite see as clearly as he was used to, as if his vision was blurred, which was impossible. He continued to run through the woods, slowly losing the sound of her breath and heartbeat, which both got quieter with each second passing by.
But then she saw her. It felt like he choked on air, seeing how the girl lied on the leaves, covered in dust. He looked around, a feeling growing inside of him. His emotions swirled around in his body, unsure about what exactly he was feeling at all. He was afraid – in fear. The prominent bite marks on her neck were in a deep red, blood still drooling out of them.
He looked at her body, how her eyes were closed, her skin looked pale. For a quick second he thought she might be dead. Fear spread through his veins, closing his eyes trying to concentrate on his senses. He sighed in relief, when his ears could hear a slow heartbeat.
Taeyong looked around once more. He knew he wasn't alone. He could feel something lurking in the woods around him, carefully watching him. But there was no time. He couldn't go and search for the one who did this.
With a quick motion he picked the nearly lifeless body up, pressing her against his chest. He looked at her fragile body, which was barely moving. Her eyes were sunken, skin pale due to the blood loss. He could see her veins through the thin, white skin, yet her face looked like it was covered in shadows.
He pressed his lips together as he rushed through the woods, leaving the lurking shadows as far behind him as he could.HIs mind went completely wild, thousands of thoughts and screams spinning through his head, feeling like it was about to explode at any seocnd.
The house was no option to put her, obviously, with that many humans around. Nobody could see her. He knew, that it wouldn't take long for his family to smell her blood through the air. He knew, they'd come fast.
His legs carried him back near the house, a small entrance covered by trees and bushes leading right underneath the earth, into the crypt of his house. He breathed the muddy, thick air underground in and couldn't remember the last time he went in there, usually preferring to stay upstairs.
He rushed inside a big room, covered in dust and spiderwebs, laying her down on the stone table in the middle.
“What the fuck.”, he heard Jaehyun whisper behind him, his eyes wide in shock, “Who?”, he asked looking at Taeyong.
Taeyong was suddenly angry – no, he was furious. “I told you to not let her out of your sight! How could you let her wander through the woods alone?!”, his voice was deep as he felt how his blood started to pulsate in his veins, turning the skin under his now shining eyes black., “This is your fault!” he hissed, trying is very best not to fall into a rage.
“I- Listen. If I knew she'd go into the forest I would've followed her, I thought-”, Jaehyun tried to explain himself, knowing that he had to calm Taeyong down. His own voice not as steady as he wanted it to be, his eyes fixating on the body in front of him.
“Clearly, you're unable to actually use your brain!”, Taeyong growled, grabbing Jaehyun by the throat, pushing him against a cold-stoned wall, a small choking sound escaping Jaehyuns throat.
“I'm giving you one simple order and now she's dying and it's your fault. Her blood is on your hands, Jaehyun.”, Taeyong's emotions covered his thoughts, making it nearly impossible for him to think clearly.
“Y-You're hurting me.”, Jaehyun gasped, his hands on top of Taeyong's, trying to fight him off but his strength wasn't even near Taeyong's.
“What's going on?”, Johnny asked as soon as he came rushing into the room, trying to get Taeyong's hands off Jaehyun's neck, before even realizing what was going on.
Within a second, Taeyong suddenly snapped back into reality and out of his rage, when he heard more people saying his name. He let go of Jaehyun's neck, turning towards his family, who was staring at them before their gazes went down to the table, eyes growing wide in shock.
“Oh my God.”, Johnny's voice was shaking as he stumbled through them, falling on his knees next to the table, his hands desperately grabbing for hers. His eyes scanning her body until they met the marks on her neck. He gulped, feeling how his stomach turned upside down.
“What happened?”, Johnny whispered under his breath, his eyes still fixating on the girl's neck.
Taeyong took a deep breath, closing his eyes for a second, waiting for his rage to pass. He looked at Jaehyun, who was now standing in the corner of the room, his eyes on Ava as well. He could see the shock covering his face now.
“I found her in the woods.”, Taeyong answered and looked down at Johnny, who started to shake. He put a firm hand on his shoulder, trying to distract him from his urges, “I don't know who attacked her.”, he added, his eyes focusing on her chest and heartbeat, which was getting weaker with any second passing by.
“She's dying.”, Johnny whispered under his breath in pain and strain, his eyes still glued to the girl in front of him. “This is my fault.”, he choked, closing his eyes for a moment.
“It's not your fault.”, Taeyong tried to comfort him, his voice slowly softening.
Taeyong's mind screamed at him, fighting over what he should do next. He felt like his chest got pressed together, barely able to breathe. But he couldn't show any weakness now. He couldn't allow it. He took a deep breath, letting go of Johnny's shoulder. It was more than enough, that Johnny had to see his emotional outburst before.
“She's dying.”, Johnny repeated, his hands still on hers
Taeyong looked over her face, how her skin now lost every bit of color it had left. Her lips were chapped and blue. He was aware of the fact, that there were only two possible outcomes and he was sure he wouldn't be able to handle both.
“Please, Taeyong, you need to do something.”, he heard Johnny plead, his eyes locking with his for a moment. He saw fear and desperation so clearly in Johnny's eyes, it felt like something hit him right in the stomach. Taeyong hesitated for another second before he walked up to stand behind her head.
Taeyong looked down at her once more, his fingers now carefully stroking over her dirt-covered hair. He pressed his eyes together before burying his fangs in his wrist, biting down until the thick, dark red blood ran down his skin, feeling how Johnny watched his movements closely.
He knew it was wrong to take the decision from her, to put this life on her but at least it was a life. He took another breath, whispering a soft “I’m so sorry” before putting his bleeding wrist on her opened lips, letting his blood run into her mouth just before she took her last breath and started her transition.

She looked outside the window, her eyes scanning every detail of the dark streets she could see. She thought about everything what happened these past hours and sighed. These hours felt like months slowly passing by yet like brief seconds at the same time. Her eyes looked up to the dark sky, which was slightly illuminated by the bright city lights. She saw how it slowly began to snow. The snowflakes were small, she could barely see them with her tired eyes yet they became more and danced through the cold air. Hypnotized by their dancing, her fingers trailed over the glass of the window, following the snowflakes.
Just for a second she felt peaceful.
Suddenly she heard the wooden floor in front of her door creaking and flinched, turning around and immediately grabbing the gun she always carried with her, even in her own bedroom. She felt her body stiffen and her mind going blank, how her breath started to hitch and her heart rate increase as her body filled with adrenaline. She cocked the gun with a click, pointing it at the door across the room. The young women tried to calm her breath, slow down her pounding heart and concentrate on holding the gun still, ready to shoot any moment.
“May I come in?” A male voice asked politely letting her relax at once. Her legs felt weak as the adrenaline rushed out of her body as fast as it came in. She leaned her back against the window, closing her dry eyes. Her hands wandered down, securing the weapong again before letting it rest on the ledge.
She felt how his eyes scanned her, filled with worry. It hurt to see him worry about her.
“They’re- We’re- worried about you. After all that happened.. I thought maybe you’d want to talk.”, Chris said with this incredible soft and caring voice. It took all of her strength to not just run into his arms and cry. But no. She knew she couldn’t do that, no matter how loud her heart started to beat and longed for his embrace.
“Thank you for your concern. But I’d honestly rather be alone right now.”, the women said, trying her best not to look into Chris’ eyes. The danger of her heart bursting into pieces once more were just too high.
“Please don’t push me away.”, a sigh escaped his lips as he moved to stand in front of her, his hand softly grabbing hers, trying to intertwine their cold fingers.
“Chris-“
“Don’t. I’m always by your side, you should know that.”, he whispered, his head resting on her shoulder before he placed a soft kiss in the crook of her neck.
She closed her eyes for a second, her body enjoying his touches way too much for her own good. She knew that it was wrong. But how can something be wrong if it felt so right? It was clear, that she could never be with him the way she so desperately wanted to and it tore her apart.
The way he touched her was so soft, like he was afraid she could break. She heard all these things he whispered to her, felt all these sparks and warmth growing inside her whenever his delicate lips touched her skin.
The way his lips placed dozens of small kisses on her neck, her cheek, her forehead and the cold tip of her nose made her body nearly shake. She felt so deeply for him she couldn’t find normal words to describe it. She loved the way he touched her with such softness and how his voice was filled with just so much affection.
She stared at their intertwined hands for a second before looking up at his face for the first time, his lips forming a sweet smile. The exact same smile she fell for not so long ago.
Her eyes wandered down to his lips, her body longing for more of him. She locked her eyes with his again, still torn inside, her mind fighting against her heart with such power. He slowly moved his head closer to hers, just until she could feel his breath against her skin, their noses softly touching. She could almost feel his lips on hers, her heart screaming for them to finally be with hers, yet she knew it was wrong. She needed to stop this - for both of their sakes.
“We can’t.”, she sighed, her voice shaking. She pressed her eyes shut, her head dropping down as she let go of Chris’ warm hands.
She knew he wanted to say something. She knew he suffered just as much as her. For a second, his emotions were written all over his face when she looked up but as soon as he saw her gaze he decided to put on a facade and moved away.
“I’m so sorry, Chris.” she tried to whisper but her voice broke down. She wanted to reach for him, grabbing his hand, pulling him to her, embracing him in her arms.
But she couldn’t.
“It’s alright, really. I’ll continue to guard so don’t worry. Try to get some sleep - I’ll see you tomorrow.”, he simply said, his voice shaking just as much as hers, showing her once more that she wasn’t the only one hurt. It tortured her to hear the pain in his voice but there was no other way.
Her eyes followed Chris’ silhouette and how it disappeared through the door without turning back. As soon as the door closed, the young women let her body slide down on the floor, face buried in her hands, her heart still beating strongly in her chest. Her mind was loud, screaming at her. It was an exhausting fight inside of her, draining her energy. She wanted to be strong but she felt how tears started to build up in the corner of her eyes and before she could even think they started to roll down her cheeks. She wrapped her own arms around her bend legs and pressed them together to try to feel at least a tiny bit of comfort. Too exhausted to fight against the tears she just let them freely roll over her cheeks, dropping down on her knees. Her body felt stiff and way too cold but she couldn’t move.
It felt like all the warmth she just had left the room with him.
