Venus Leonard-Derris Page was born in a small town in northern Ireland where he was raised and homeschooled by his mother, Saoirse Page, mostly secluded from people. Her reasoning was because of Venus's meta ability.
Venus is able to turn into a canine-like rabid animal, however he has no control of when these episodes happen. However close to a werewolf his ability is, his second form most resembles a dog or a german shepherd specifically, than a wolf.
Because of the fact he had no control of when he would turn into his were-dog form, his mother concluded that it'd be safer if he stayed away from other children and stayed in a cabin far from the town they lived in. His mother was very religious and mentally ill and believed that Venus was the anti-christ.
Eventually, during one of these episodes at the age of 6, Venus accidentally kills Saoirse brutally and eats her. When Venus comes to he finds whats left of Saoirse's body and has blurry memories of being the one to murder her, he remains in shock.
He walks himself into town, covered in blood, and tells the police that he and his mother were attacked by wolves while camping in the woods. The authorities believe him and they find his father, Fredrick Ross, a retired American military man, and he's put into the man's custody.
Venus ends up telling Fred about his meta ability, and the man begins to treat him like a threat. Venus stays in a bunker in the woods of Vermont near a own cabin, where his father treats him as prisoner. Fred is very abusive and does not treat Venus very well at all, often beating him, yelling at him, and neglecting him severely.
After years of this, at the age of 16, he again has an episode where he is able to break away and brutally murder Frederick. This time when Venus awakes, he's less shaken and instead flees until he finds himself in Gotham, New Jersey.
Venus is very socially inept, but after a few years of being in the city and making a living as a henchman and somehow getting a better hold of his episodes (which he doesn't know are actually triggered by fear) he's starting to get better at interacting with others.
Venus is a bit of a doormat a good amount of the time, but has anger problems, issues with authority, and is starting to become better with controling himself and his anxieties.
he's a misanthrope and generally tries to avoid talking to people, used to being isolated or told he isn't like other people he's begun to hate everyone around him for it. he both despises people and feels immense guilt for harming them.
Venus can remember when he's in his were-dog form, however it's very blurry and mostly just flashes of memory, and he is not in control of himself when he becomes it.
he finds comfort in hurting people when more in control of himself solely and not in his were-dog form, as he hates the lack of control that comes with it. This is why being a henchman and having to kill for other people is a line of work he doesn't imagine straying from.
Venus is 5'6, fairly fit though on the leaner side, white and pale with brown eyes, brown hair in a buzzcut, and various scars around his entire body, including his face. he tends to wear a balaclava or a mask over his face most of the time regardless.
oh and hes gay & asexual, though he's very unaware of this fact, and has some internalized homophobia issues from his religious mother.
