This is spoilers for end of shift two and a scene in shift three!!!
Theory : BB and Red Biker are either the same person or know each other.
- In a scene where we are BB POV, he meets ( or meets again ) our “nosy neighbor”. This neighbor tells him how a biker with a red helmet use to come around MC’s door. BB didn’t seem jealous at all which is surprising. He didn’t even get bothered by the fact someone was around his MC’s door and his first words after the neighbor told him was “Mine’s black.” Which seems like a funny choice of words. Like why didn’t he ask more about the biker or if MC was okay. The only thing he questioned was when the neighbor said the Red biker was dangerous. Even after the neighbor told him though he would just stand by the door like a creep, BB seemed like more defending him like saying “Maybe he was having a bad day,” instead of being worried. The only time he got shocked or like quiet was when the neighbor said “Mc didn’t like it. Poor girl, she’s probably glad he’s gone.” BB in this moment didn’t feel seem like he felt empathy at all just hurt. This is probably because RB was him, and he didn’t like how MC felt discomfort by his company. Like when you choose to snicker at lanes comment when they were fighting, he seemed like that kind of hurt. Like disappointed. When he’s feeling sad I feel like he just gets quiet like he did in this scene. When you also click the door of the neighbors apartment ( before the neighbor stepped out and saw him ) it shows BB thought the neighbor couldn’t mind his business. Obviously it’s not a surprise BB stalks MC but it’s clear him and the neighbor met before. The reason why the neighbor didn’t recognize him is because BB looks like a different person. Same reason why MC couldn’t remember him at all but it’s clear they have met before. Maybe they met before when BB was RB.
-Plus a scene in shift 3 shows how MC was shocked he knew she hated blood. MC can’t even recall the memory why but it seemed like he remembered exactly why and she only told Lane about the blood ( at least that we know) The only people who were supposed to knows about MC’s blood fear is RB and Lane. Unless BB was stalking her long enough to notice ( because it seems like he’s always watching honestly ) or because he was the one to cause it. Like Red biker did.
- The only reason it could be someone he knows is because the final scene before the shift ends on shift three we see Red biker says “You won’t even do it for him?” ( or depending on the route you get his name in place of “him” ) “For me?” This could show how they are two different people but he could just be referring to himself in second person.
I don’t know but I NEED to figure out more about RB. I could be overthinking but there’s no way they aren’t the same person.
I had to redo this so many times because it kept deleting 😔✌️
here are all the guides to help you unlock every route beginning in Shift 3! 😋💖
i also made a guide for anyone who gets stuck during the point-and-click sections. (contains slight spoilers)
I FORGOT TO ADD!!
Advice for BB's route: to see everything this route has to offer, i recommend talking to everyone evenly rather than spamming BB or a single NPC. Clicking the same character too many times can lock certain scenes, so just make the rounds and speak to everyone normally!
(I also recommend going through the #1 first for BB and Lane since these are the longest route for both of them.😽)
So I’ve noticed the dates on the Chat Messages of the King’s Knight Chat Boards and I went a bit nuts trying to piece things together.
I went through all my screenshots of documents from the FFXV game and looked up the newspaper clippings from Kingsglaive and the in game scene in Galdin Quay (sadly you can not make out any dates on the newspapers or at least I could not) to see if I could find out when the King’s Knight Event is taking place in terms of the FFXV storyline. (or if it even was)
TURNS OUT IT IS
I have provided links to all references so no one thinks I’m just pulling this stuff out of thin air lol
Credit to @mayhapitwasme for their screenshots of the King’s Knight Chats (chat messages 3,4,6,7,8,9,10, 11,& 12) *seriously you are the best*
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 3/20) - First Chat Message
Episode Prompto Documents (ME 756 4/8) - Diamond Weapon is completed (sixth screenshot in that post)
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 4/24) - Second Chat Message
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 5/4) - Third Chat Message
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 5/15) - Sixth Chat Message This one is important to note because it is clearly stated in the chat that this takes place the day before the audience with King Regis before heading to Altissia. (meaning all the other chat messages before this one took place before the prologue/start of game)
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 5/16) - Seventh Chat Message (this is the day they leave on the trip…meaning the start of the game)
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 5/16) - Eighth Chat Message (this one takes place the same day as the one above)
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 5/16) - Ninth Chat Message (this one takes place the same day as the previous two)
FFXV Zegnautus Keep Documents (ME 756 5/16) - Document found explaining how the infected in Gralea are turning into daemons (second to last screenshot in that post)
Episode Prompto Document (ME 756 5/21) - Babarus is completed (third to last screenshot in that post)
King’s Knight Chat (ME 756 6/24) - Twelfth Chat Message. Now this part is just pure speculation but I’m assuming the “someone I’m hoping to show these pictures to” dialogue Prompto says in this chat is Lady Lunafreya. I know this video here is him talking about showing the pictures he just took of Noctis to Luna, but I could have also sworn I’ve read or seen something somewhere that Prompto was taking pictures of the trip to show Lady Lunafreya when he met her finally? Anyway, what I’m trying to get at is, I believe that at this final chat point in King’s Knight, we are still before the bros reach Altissia in game since Prompto still wanting to show Luna his photos would imply that Luna hasn’t died yet.
FFXV Zegnautus Keep Documents (ME 756 6/28) - Document found discussing how almost all of Zegnautus Keep’s residents are daemons now and the city is over run with daemons outside.(sixth screenshot in that post)
After this point there seems to be no more documents in game that have any dates on them from this point forward. (that I at least have screenshots of)
I am now in the process of going back through some of the later chapters in game to see if I missed ANY documents that might have any dates on them. If I happen to find anything with any sort of date after ME 756 6/28 I will update this post.
So yeah, I kind of surprise myself sometimes with my obsession with details….*nervous laughter*
You leaned back against the bed, tears on your eyes, they fixed on the photo of the Tinder profile on your phone, you read Gaz's profile.
Was all what was on his profile plus a blurry photo of him.
tall, military man, loves pancakes
His hands were also on the photo, flexing perfectly to draw any women's eyes.
But there wasn't one thing.
The expensive wedding ring that matched yours, which was on your wedding finger.
The same ring he held in that private mission, right after the kind of missions that makes you remember you aren't eternal.
"I promise to be with you, next to you, till the day I die, there's nowhere else I'd rather be were I could be half as happy as I am with you"
Those words, the sweet memory of them made an ugly sob leave your throat and you threw the phone to the side carelessly.
Vs
Gaz who snatched the phone from Soap's prying hands
"Fuck off mate!, I hate those dating apps shit, and I'm married!, don't you get it?, MARRIED!"
Gaz practically yelled to a laughing Soap, frustrated, he tried to delete that profile, but he was old, and that was noticeable on the weird way he was holding the phone and the even weirder match he had with "Melissa" that sounded a lot like your best friend's name.
It was Ghost who finally hit the back of Soap's head, which made the Scottish yelp, and said coldly
"Not all of us has a wife and kids to go home, Johnny, delete that shit from his phone"
With a terrifying glare that made Soap gulp awkwardly, and take Gaz's phone.
"M', sorry mate, Ghost's right"
Before he could do anything,a small ping was heard from an upcoming notification, Roach read the phone silently before he got a little pale.
"What?" Gaz asked with dread.
Roach cleared his throat, reading out loud the most recent message from Melissa.
"You're a fucker, asshole I'm sending this to your wife"
Before getting blocked.
They all stood frozen as Ghost's eyes fixated on how Gaz's expression crumbled, but before letting the tears fall off he snatched his phone, muttering a curse, grabbed his jacket and left the pub, heart shattering into a million pieces at the thought of you crying in your shared bed.
A few weeks ago I posted a deciphered version of the "Don't turn on the lights :-)" email in the comments on itch.io, since then I've noticed that Cain tweets from time to time in said cipher.
I marked with red the letters replaced by the square symbol - b, c, and m.
As far as I know, 3 of the characters (Jiho, Genesis, and Cain) have Twitter accounts. At the moment I've only looked through Cain's. I will not be analyzing his entire account and posts, but I might try that in another post in the future.
Firstly, his bio includes the same exact cipher, only mirrored, read from right to left.
Translation: "He who walks in shadow". As you can see "e" is now "l", and "k" is "ɹ". He seems to switch it up a bit every other tweet.
This directly references the contents of the emails. On the 19th of October, he does not know the cause of this occurrence.
"Let the sediment settle until the bottom of the glass looks like coal dust. Leave it on the table. It's the same thing that took the color out of the rocks in the creek. It's the same thing that's making the neighbor's dog stop barking."
The email is sent on May 14, by a person who lives in the same neighborhood as Cain, using the same exact cipher, with minor differences.
I'm not sure what timeline the Twitter accounts follow, if the dates are not of importance or if they're meticulously planned in advance, but I'll take both scenarios into consideration: the email could either be sent by Cain himself, or by a third party who has probably come into contact with him in one way or another.
Cain frequently mentions having a Reddit account, but sadly I could not find it.
I compiled all his encrypted tweets (tweets presenting simple glitched text that can't be made any sense of were not included):
"smell, taste, touch, sound, sight, five walls. five months, five decades, five..."
Not sure if the glitched parts have any significance
"I see (?)e code it's bea-iful and it's bleedingbleedingbleeding -do (FVB) read my? I think I can rea(e)ch (FVB)" -in parantheses is the original text
I think (FVB) might mean "you" but that would break all conventions basically. If anyone has any other ideas, let me know in the comments.
"If I crane my head just right, I can see the edge of the- world;; but it's all scan lines and colors. They're burning into my vision. im looki- too deeply."
"yes, i went back, i wonder if something lik- the tuscan sword is buried there. --only explanation of why i feel so drawn to it. a mellage(?)… --one that was for me, and yet got lost."
This time its not mirrored and it's read from left to right. And the letter x makes its debut for the first time as "G".
This cipher is completely new! Also not mirrored
"Solus Cum Solo, In Loco Remtoro, Non Cogitabuntuo oraae Pater Noster.
the five sounds of christ. the five foolish virgins. four walls and a ceaing. or maybe four limbs and a head. we are all trapped in a pentagram of fesho.
i need fresh eyes. i need help."
There seem to be a few typos in the original, this is what I think i should be:
" Solus cum solo, in loco remoto non cogitabuntur orare Pater Noster.
the five sounds of christ. the five foolish virgins. four walls and a ceasing. or maybe four limbs and a head. we are all trapped in a pentagram of flesh.
i need fresh eyes. i need help."
The latin phrase roughly translates to "Alone with the [One] Alone, in a remote place, they will not be thinking to pray the Our Father"
It is the title of Chapter 13, Book Eighth, Volume III of Les Misérables by Victor Hugo.
And another new cipher! This one is mirrored, read right to left.
"She used to say every secret is stone you're asking God to carry. I must be a mountain by now; The tonnage of it makes my bones feel like glass. I wonder how much pressure it'll take to finally turn me into light."
As of today (May 1st) those are all instances of Cain & the cipher.
A/N: Got inspired by the Still with You song by Jungkook and the recent gachiakuta chapter. Not a fully fleshed out story, just a little thought.
Imagine this:
Your in no mans land, wandering aimlessly. All you had was a (insert precious item). It started to rain, but the rain here stinged. It burned your skin. You continued to wander to look for cover. At this point, you have tiny dots of red burnt skin on your arms and face. Until, you don't feel anymore pain, as if time stopped and all the pain was gone. You just stood standing in the rain, holding tight on (your precious item), the only thing that brings warmth your body. Suddenly, you don't feel anymore rain. You look up and see a masked man covering you with an umbrella. You try to speak, but all you can do is cough. Your throat hurts. The man looks down on you.
"Follow me, I know someone who can help with your wounds and cough."
You follow this strange man, his body emitting a warmth that makes you stand closer to him.
"So what were you doing in no mans land? It's not the best place to be without a mask."
You let out a cough before speaking in a hoarse voice, "I don't know...My family, they left me." Your eyes well up with tears. You knew that your family was poor, and being the forgotten child, they dumped you out in no mans land to die.
"That sucks! Names Enjin. You?"
You looked up this man named Enjin and thought to yourself, "Wow, he sucks with comforting people."
"My name is y/n."
You and him continue to walk until you reach the crazy doctor. He drops you off and is about to leave, but you tug on the coat of his sleeve. "Please, stay with me." You didn't want to be alone, you didn't know anyone or have anywhere to go. "Your the only person I know and have right now." So, he stays, which surprised you. It didn't take long for you to be treated; Enjin takes you back to base, allowing you to stay for a bit and earn some cash by doing chores before getting back on your feet. Seimu deems you safe, however there wasn't any rooms available since there has been an influx of new people (Rudo and Amo). Since Enjin was the one who brought you in, Seimu made him share his room with you.
Over the next few days, you and Enjin learn a bit about each other. You found out that he doesn't like clingy people, but he doesn't say anything when you stay by his side. But you know that deep down, that you can't stay here forever. Especially at night, when you lay awake on the shared bed, the dark room with no lights. You sit up, clutching (your precious item), it brings a sense of warmth to you. You press your face into it, letting your thoughts wander and time once again felt as if it stilled. You turn your head to look at the blond man next to you. His eyes closed, his chest slowly rising up and down. You look into his eyes, even though they were closed, and mouthed, "I'll miss you." You get off the bed and slowly leave the room. You left a note written in purple saying your thanks and goodbyes. You shouldn't have gotten used to him or this place. You took the little belongings you had and left. As you wandered the night, it started raining again. As if every time your alone, it rains.
Enjin woke up a hour after you left, something not feeling right within his chest woke him up. He noticed that you were gone and read your note. He looked out the window and saw it raining. "Always the rain with you."
It was foggy, your feet wet, taking small steps. You didn't know how long you were walking for, but you start to see some orange peek out the fog and clouds in the sky. You hear some heavy footsteps behind you. You no longer feel the rain pelt your hair and face anymore. You look up and see that same umbrella, you turn around and see Enjin's tired face, "You caught me again".
"Y/n, if I had known you were actually going to leave, I would've tried to make you stay a bit longer. If I didn't make it clear when you first arrived, but its your home now." As he says those words to you, the rain and fog start to clear up. You give him a faint smile, and notice the letter you had wrote with a purple crayon in his hand. You nod, and you guys start to walk back to base, your slow small strides don't match up with his fast big strides, but you guys make do. When he saw that small smile on your face, he couldn't help but think of the color purple. When you guys reach base and finally go back to his room, he turns to look at you, "I'll walk with you anywhere, still with you and I'll always catch you in the rain no matter how far you get from me."
You take a step forward and hug him, "Thanks Enjin."
A/N: First time making such fluff. I love Enjin so much. I need a man like him where he will always be there for me in the rain with a big umbrella.
Hey! So I remember there being an ask about what the LIs would do if they saw you wearing something they found attractive, so it got me thinking what exactly DO they find attractive on a person/partner?? Thanks <3
Francesco
Someone with spirit, strength, and compassion. Their physique barely matters to him! All he wants is someone who isn't afraid to love, and who isn't afraid of showing that love.
Keir
He likes someone with a backbone, someone willing to push and challenge him. He's also got a few traits he finds pretty attractive but you'll get to find out about those later ❤️
Oleander
Intentionality and confidence. Oleander can appreciate basically any aesthetic, but what makes it actually attractive is someone owning that aesthetic and doing it on purpose.
Cirrus
Cirrus finds obedience the most attractive, of course, but he also appreciates those who are loyal, hardworking, and who spend time honing their craft.
Can you… explain the pay off’s of each chore in oleander’s chapter2? Or would that be too much of a spoiler/ruin the fun of finding out ourselves? Because I tried every option but with some I just can’t pinpoint what exactly it does.
I certainly don't mind explaining them, I had fun planning them out and folks would eventually put it together regardless. I will say this is extremely under-the-hood stuff, so don't look if you don't wanna know what's in the calzone.
Important additional context: during Vesper's drug trip scene it is possible to run into a bad end by effectively stressing them out so bad their soul breaks in half. Some choices "reduce stress", which basically adds more tolerance for incorrect choices during the drug trip.
Adonis: Reduces Vesper's stress and gives some more characterisation to this sketchy dude, but the primary pay-off will be in Chapter Three.
Wine shop: Gives an alternate route through the Oleander rescue in the end that skips one possible bad end outright, and reduces the amount of "damage" Vesper takes. Plus additional Chapter Three stuff.
Auction house: Gives Vesper some hot goss to chat about towards the end of the chapter, which is increasing their background reputation as a budding businessperson (this was already happening in Chapter One, as well). Will see that pay off in Chapter Three.
Shopping street: The perfume makes it easier to seduce Honey (who is designed to be a wee bit slippery), plus the smoke bomb gives Vesper a way to rescue Oleander without getting injured, which will play into Chapter Three.
Info broker: Mostly offers lore and background information to the story (plus it makes Oleander admit you told him so at the end, for anyone who wants to get one over on him). I'm like 95% sure this has the least impact on Chapter Three of the options, this option is primarily for folks who wanna explore the lore.
Leaping Bear: Reduces Vesper's stress and automatically skips over the second half of their drug trip, which is where the nastier imagery (and more aggressive bad end check) is. Plus you get to talk to Rufus ❤️ I think I'm comfortable giving away this spoiler: I think Rufus will only talk to the player in Chapter Three if they take this option in Chapter Two, so there will be some flavour impact on Chapter Three as well.
I can imagine people finding an "optimal" pair of choices once Chapter Three is out, for folks playing with a guide + save scumming, but in theory any pair of these six choices should feel like they're having an impact on Chapter Three content, plus that they did something in Chapter Two (even if it's just making Oleander say, "You told me so.")
Here’s the 15 endings for Don’t Romance Me. I tired to go in order (across and then to the next ‘row’) but the collection screen isn’t exactly numbered like BTD lol. It still shouldn’t be too hard to find the endings your missing since you can just find the ones that you know you don’t have!
Background information: My OC is a doctor who owns a clinic in the marketplace. The clinic has multiple other types of doctors that work in the marketplace, but also on the surface. In this story, fractum anima will be genetic and this is how it works. Someone in Vespers family got their soul broken and it has altered their genetics. Since then, at least one person in every generation has it, and for it to surface something must happen to break their soul. Vesper sadly got the unlucky gene for it. It is a chronic illness meaning it has no cure. Now my doctor who will be named Medi, she has spent years creating medicine for it. To which she has; 2 in fact. One to manage the symptoms of the illness, and another to help prevent the crack in the soul from getting worse. The 2nd pill can also help decrease the size of it to a paper cut, that's it. It cannot heal it completely. Her clinic is very popular, but hard to get access to. She and her employees have many clients, clients that cannot risk getting medical treatment at the surface. The services are quite costly too. To receive it, they must receive an referral from an unknown source that will lead them to Medi's clinic. From there, Medi will help them or lead them to one of her employees. Now that is enough background information. Let's get started.
Kier: Takes place after Vesper tells him about their illness. Oleander visits the mouse hole, Kier takes this as a chance to get information out of Oleander about the lunar ichor. Oleander tells them he can look around for it and he'll be the first to know. After a while, Oleander sends him a letter telling about Dr. Medi's clinic. However, it is proven quite difficult since he and the others cannot risk going to the surface. They also can't get a referral since Oleander doesn't know how to get it, but he will try. But Kier and the others are thieves after all, so they decide to break in and steal it, as well as other things. However, there is only one door which is the main entrance, but the roof has a vent. However, that vent is always on, but that doesn't stop them so they go through the vent and into the lab. In the lab they find the lunar ichor on a shelf. Keir looks around, "This is too easy. There's barely any security or anything." They look very closely at the shelf to see if there are any traps that can set off any alarms. However, there is nothing. Griff takes it off the shelf, however, as he does, he realizes theres a bit of a tug, but assumes its just because its heavy. Oh how he was wrong because suddenly the bottle explodes, and Griff's right hand is blown off. Suddenly an alarm gets triggered. They can no longer leave and are stuck in the lab, Dr. Medi walks in and sees the sight. She raises a gun and is about to shoot, until Keir raises his hands in surrender. Halo starts to apologize and beg, "We're sorry please help our friend." Medi doesn't lower her gun, "Now why should I help out a bunch of thieves who just tried to steal the lunar ichor?" Vesper stands up, "I have fractum anima, and lunar ichor is one of the only things that can help cure it." Medi laughs out aloud, "No it doesn't! Now you just ruined the elixir for someone that can actually benefit from it!" Dr. Medi goes on her whole information spiel about what the elixir benefits actually are and how it doesn't help with chronic illnesses like fractum anima. She instead recommends her own medicine that can help manage it and extend Vesper's life. However, the price is $11,000, something the thieves don't have. Kier speaks up, "We can steal things for your office. Herbs, equipment, anything." Medi laughs again and points her gun at him, "I don't need that shit. I've got my own supplier. I don't need some law breakers doing that for me. You'll have to pay more than just $11,000 for the medicine. You'll have to pay for the elixir now that one of your thieves," she points at Griff, "has broken it and if you want your friends hand fix, they'll need to pay over $300,000. I don't think thieves have that kind of money on hand do they?"
Halo begs for Medi's mercy, "Please help out Griff. We'll be indebted to you for our whole life if need be." Medi is still a doctor who took an oath, so she helps out Griff with the surgery. Griff now has a fully functional prosthetic hand. "This surgery wasn't cheap. You'll have to pay me back, I don't play around with the money, especially here in the marketplace."
Fast forward: Vesper couldn't get the medicine due to how much they have to pay back for Griff's hand surgery which will take quite awhile. Oleander helps pay for the hand surgery back in exchange that they work for free under him a certain amount of years.
A/N: imo, Oleander is also someone who don't play about their money. Even if he was close to the person or people.
Kier feeling bad about what happened and was the one for bringing up the idea of breaking into the clinic, decided to pay for the medicine and give it to Vesper.
A/N: This wasn't focused on Kier a lot and mostly on the mouse hole in general. Why? They're always in groups I feel so trying to do a whole scene or more with just him and Vesper was kinda hard for me. Also, idk if this is even considered a semi happy ending because yay Vesper can live a longer life now, but in debt to Oleander...

A/N: This will be very different compared to the other 3 LIs. Cuz tbh, I lowkey don't think Cirrus actually wants to cure Vesper or is that just me? Like sir, please I need those documents stop procrastinating and wasting Vesper's time. But I will try my hardest to make a semi happy ending with Cirrus. This probably won't be fully fledged out with dialogue because I think this man is evil.
For this ending to be semi happy, Vesper manages to escape the church after finding out all the dark evil secrets Cirrus was hiding from them. They manage to find the person Cirrus said was dead. (A/N: I forgot that persons name.) That person told them the thing they were making that is a replica of the lunar ichor didn't work as well. They lead them to Dr. Medi's clinic where Vesper learned about the 2 pills. However, they weren't able to afford it. So as they were walking back to the inn (A/N: I also forgot the name, all I remember is the word bear being part of it.) however, they get pulled away by Cirrus back into the Church. Cue BDSM moments. Cirrus was stalking them and managed to get the medicine for Vesper. Vesper enters the church bedroom and sees a gift on their bed. They open it to see the medicine, and a note from Cirrus that reads, "A gift to make up, but you mustn't run away ever again." So like happy ending cuz yay live a longer life, but like is it really a happy ending if Vesper is stuck with Cirrus and have to endure BDSM torture every night? Also, little theory and kinda spoilers. But I think the BDSM is why Vesper in that one ending was turning into Lunar ichor. To make lunar ichor I think the person has to be tortured to extreme ends for the elixir to be made. Anyways, this one is very short if anyone wants a part 2 or me to elaborate plz comment below!

Oleander:
A/N: This happens during the bath scene where Vesper tells him about their illness. His will be short because it'll be similar to Francesco's in a way. Many things will be the same except for the dialogue, which to me is hard to write for because how does one write charming words?
Oleander stiffens and takes a deep breath in, "I'm sorry. I'll try to help you get the lunar ichor." When he isn't busy doing his merchant job, he is going around looking for the elixir. Even though he is one of the most knowledge and connected merchants, it isn't enough to find the elixir. He goes to one of his information brokers and asks them, "Any updates on the lunar ichor?" Oleander can see his broker smile through the cloth mask, "I do. A clinic ran Dr. Medi has plenty apparently, however from what I know its not easy to enter. You need a referral from the surface. I don't know the source. But if you know any doctors from above they might. I'm sure you do."
Oleander makes a trip to the surface visiting many doctors, until he finally manages to get a referral from the right source. He's finally in Dr. Medi's office, "So you want the lunar ichor? Well, your at the right place. What do you need it for?" "My vigil has fractum anima, I believe the elixir is able to cure it." All Medi can do is sigh and shake her head, "Your wrong, it doesn't cure it. Trust me I've done my research. Fractum anima is a chronic genetic illness. Your vigil must've had an ancestor who got it and since then it's been passed down every generation. Once someone in the family has it, it alters their genes and future generations will have at least one person receiving that illness. It's triggered by any event that breaks their soul. It cannot be cured because its a genetic. Your vigil cannot change their genetics. My lunar ichor is reserved for certain patients, even then it is not a 100% cure to forever wellness."
Oleander thanks them for her time and is about to leave, "Wait! I wasn't done speaking. Sit back down." Oleander raises an eyebrow under their mask and sits back down, "What do you mean?" "I have created medicine that can manage fractum anima. 2 types of pills, taken once a day every day for life. Pill 1 helps manage the symptoms of the illness, and the other helps with crack from getting worse and shrinks it to a small paper cut. It can't cure it, but it can make those with the illness live a long life till they die of other natural causes. The cost is $11,000 per month. A lot cheaper than the elixir in my opinion. Do you want it?" Ding ding the transactions has been made.
Fast forward: Vesper meets up with Oleander for a surprise that he has for them. Oleander gives them a white paper bag for them to open, "Pills?" Oleander explains everything about the pills and what Dr. Medi said. Vesper hesitates, but takes them since Oleander paid so much for them. Over the next few weeks, Vesper no longer had to deal with any symptoms from their illness.
The End! Very short, but I do think that Oleander is the type of person to surprise the people he cares about with gifts. I also think he would be very happy that Vesper is able to stay his vigil for a lot longer.
OBSCURA | Semi happy ending for Vesper Francesco ver.
A/N: Recently started playing OBSCURA and I am obsessed. I love Vesper so much, but I just feel so much pity for them and their illness. Fractum Anima according to the creators is free to imagine however we like. However it is canon that its very rare and deadly and Vesper would like to not have it. I decided to make a little fic about our MC, my OC, and the 4 LIs. I will make a post for each LI. Th
Francesco: After Francesco learned about Vesper's chronic illness, he has been searching and searching for the lunar ichor, but to no avail. He managed to find stumble upon a Medi's clinic and walks in. He is immediately greeted by the front desk employee, "Hi there! How may I help you today?" He fiddles with his fingers and approaches the desk, "I was wondering if I can meet with a doctor to help my friend?" The front desk employee shakes their head, "You can't unless you have an referral, and I'm assuming you don't have one." He pulls out his heavy coin purse, "I have the money! Lots of it! Please, my friend might have much time left!" However, the money doesn't seem to phase the employee, "You have to get a referral!" "But how do I get one?" The employee just shakes their head again, "You have to get it from the surface. Your gonna have to find that person yourself. If you can't I suggest finding someone else do it for you like a merchant or information broker though not many are of help." Francesco leaves disappointed, walking with his head down until he bumps into someone's hard chest. He looks up and apologizes, "Sorry! Oh wait! Your the guy from the party hanging out with those loud people who were laughing!" "The names Oleander and yes I am that guy," he reaches out for a handshake. "Your a merchant right? Do you think you can help me?" he pleads with him. "For a price, yes." They go somewhere more private and Francesco explained what he needed. "Hmmm, I don't know how to get a referral for Medi's clinic, but I know some doctors on the surface I can ask, they may know. If they do and manage to get a referral for you. I'll let you know."
Fast forward: Francesco was able to ger a referral for Medi's clinic. "Vesper!" he shouts as he runs towards them on the bridge, "I got something for you!" He hands them the referral slip. "What is this?" Vesper holds it curiously and is a bit suspicious. "Its a referral to see a doctor here! They might have the lunar ichor!" He drags their arm to the clinic. Fast forward, both of them are in Medi's office. "Fractum Anima is what you have Vesper?" as Medi checks their vitals. Vesper nods, "I've had it for months now. Let's straight to the point. Do you have lunar ichor?" After jotting down Vesper's vitals she looks up from the paper, "I do, but its not for you." Before Medi can finish speaking Vesper stands up and begins to shout, "I need it! It's the only thing that can get rid of my illness!" Francesco tries to calm them down, "Please doctor. Can't you make an exception?" Medi shakes her head no, "Let me finish speaking first before you get your panties in a twist! I said no, because after doing research on it, it doesn't cure chronic illnesses. Many chronic illnesses like Fractum Anima is genetic and passed down. I only use it on my patients with terminal or late stage cancer where modern medicine can't work for them anymore. I'm sorry. I've have many patients with the same disease as yours, with my medicine they take, they've lived long lives. For example, a war veteran had pretty severe anima, with my medicine they were able to live a long happy life. I can give it to you, however it is very expensive and you must take it everyday for your whole life if you wish to proceed." Francesco was about to speak up and ready to take out his life savings. However, Vesper stops him, "What medicine is this? How does it work? How much does it cost?" Medi rubs her chin, "Well, there's two types of pills you have to take. The first one helps manage the symptoms associated with it, for example the fainting. The second is one that helps with the crack on the soul. It shrinks it to a very tiny paper cut. Many of my patients who have taken these pills have reported they no longer have to deal with the pain of this illness. It's almost as if, it went away completely. But you have to take them both once a day everyday for the rest of your life. The cost to get the first pill is $4,000 rumi and the second is $7,000. So a total of $11,000 per month."
Francesco stands up and spills out all the coins he has, "These are my life savings, it's worth at least $1,000,000. Is that enough?" Medi lets out a big smile, "Of course it is!" She looks to Vesper, "So do you want the medicine?" Vesper takes a minute to think, they were just told the lunar ichor won't work for them, "Why doesn't lunar ichor work for chronic illnesses?" Medi looks at them and hands them multiple research papers she's written and published, "Chronic illnesses are genetic, genes can't be changed. They work for cancer because the elixir gets rid of the tumors no matter how bad or late stage it is. Even then, my cancer patients still have to take medicine to prevent the cancer from coming back. This elixir is not a forever cure to many of the aliments humans face." Vesper ponders again, and finally makes their decision, "I'll take it."
Fast forward a week: It's been a whole week without Vesper experiencing any symptoms of their illness. "I guess, the medicine does work." Francesco hugs them tight, "This means we can go on more adventures." Vesper hugs them back tight, "Yeah..."
The End! Vesper has a semi happy ending where they can live a long life and die from natural causes like old age instead of dying from Fractum anima!
