honestly, i missed tumblr. i'm kinda glad me (finally) getting into amc!iwtv and the lost boys musical obcr release made me come back and posting. (i guess the vampires will always make me return to fandom somehow) Even if there isn't any added value. But it's always fun to read all the tags and comments and added thoughts and all of the opinions are so nice and having fun with the post. i just love the connected-ness of all of this.

Just saw an edit where the editor has juxtaposed louis saying "okay let's wake the boy up and let's try you" with older Daniel conducting his interview and... woah! Because they did wake the boy up. 49 years later, they woke the boy up and it obliterated their relationship. Wow.

Hopping to the Devil's Minion side of tumblr to tell you a neat little word fact you might find interesting and use in a fanwork.

The word "minion" and french word "mignon" (a term of endearment) are closely related.

Yup, in the 16th century, it was a derrogative term used by the Parisians for their kings favourites. Although nowadays, I think we usually use it specifically for Henry III's favourites.

He revived the medieval practice of letting a confidant sleep in your bed chamber to signify their status, which doesn't HAVE to be sexual considering multiple family members sharing a bed wasn't anything unusual in the middle ages.

Well, the Cavinists certainly didn't agree that there was no sexual conduct. They were the first to connect the term "mignon" to "lover" and that kinda stuck in France.

I could also tell you that there was a "Battle of the Mignons" but that would be going too far for a quick fun fact post.

Btw, (sources for this are wikipedia and school, which has been a while for me, so if any real French people wanna chime in and tell me what I got wrong, please do!)
