Feel like defending Guy Anatole is my job bc people really do put him under a microscope and be all judgy about his decisions even when they arent even questionable but even if he was really dumb (hes not) pretty boys with tragic backstories and big wet eyes can be a little stupid its ok

Okay so we remember that Jasper was stuck in the breeding basement making more vampires and in the ending of TVL Raglan and his gang were able to defeat Daniel somehow. So my theory is that they had Jasper turn a bunch of loyal Talamasca spies into vampires so that when the great conversion happens the Talamasca will have vampires within their ranks to control the general population. And I think that they were able to beat Daniel up and take Lestat's head because Raglan's back up were all vampires and they were able to collectively overpower Daniel.

if i see anybody calling guy anatole dumb and/or boring one more time and i’ll start killing people i swear to god!!!!!! idk man if i were in his beat up yellow sneakers i’d lose my mind day 1 and walk straight into the traffic immediately after meeting helen. i think he did pretty well for somebody who’s been lied to his whole life and was dropped into the world he didn’t know existed without any real preparation. not to mention the meds he was on. guy anatole you’re the strongest warrior and i’m one of your shooters

The word "minion" and french word "mignon" (a term of endearment) are closely related.

Yup, in the 16th century, it was a derrogative term used by the Parisians for their kings favourites. Although nowadays, I think we usually use it specifically for Henry III's favourites.

He revived the medieval practice of letting a confidant sleep in your bed chamber to signify their status, which doesn't HAVE to be sexual considering multiple family members sharing a bed wasn't anything unusual in the middle ages.

Well, the Cavinists certainly didn't agree that there was no sexual conduct. They were the first to connect the term "mignon" to "lover" and that kinda stuck in France.

I could also tell you that there was a "Battle of the Mignons" but that would be going too far for a quick fun fact post.
