They don't want us to call what's happening in Gaza a genocide not because there's not been an official ruling but because these things don't get set in people's minds via official ruling. Instead it is the oral history that sets an event into place in mass consciousness.
Us calling it what it is - a genocide - means they can't wriggle out of it in years to come. They can't continue to call it a conflict or a war if we cement it in public consciousness as a genocide.
So don't tone down your language. Call it what it is. Make sure the history books know what happened and the genocides that took place in Palestine, Sudan, Congo.
eSims for Gaza is facing constant eSim shortages.
They get over a thousand requests for connection a day, but their email inbox is regularly sitting at 300-500 eSims. With the bombardment of Rafah and continual internet blackouts, the need for more eSims is particularly urgent.
Even if you have already sent an eSim or donated to an eSim donation drive, there is more you can do. The team is calling for people to campaign in their communities to help spread the word about eSims and encourage donations.
You can help by printing out posters and putting them up in local businesses, on telephone poles and notice boards, or wherever people are likely to see them.
[ID: Poster headed âeSIMs for Gazaâ with an illustration of a red poppy, a QR code, and a link to tinyurl.com/gaza-esims; copy reads âSending eSIMs is an immediate, concrete way to help Gazans on the ground. Scan below to learn how you can get involved.â End ID]

ISRAEL HAVE STARTED BOMBING RAFAH! THE PLACE THEY INSISTED WAS A SAFE REFUGE FOR THE PEOPLE OF GAZA! ALL EYES ON RAFAH!
I'm sorry for being so sappy, but I wanted to show you guys something.
When I first donated to PCRF in December 2023, it was barely 10% close to its goal. Now in March 2024, they're also 100%. Everyone of you has helped support a better future for Gaza.
They're so close to their goal. Please donate or share this post so that they can get to their goalđľđ¸
Over 100 killed and 750 wounded after Israeli forces fired at Palestinians collecting food aid in Gaza City.
More than 100 Palestinians have been killed and some 700 others wounded after Israeli troops opened fire on hundreds waiting for food aid southwest of Gaza City, health officials say, as the besieged enclave faces an unprecedented hunger crisis. The Gaza Ministry of Health said on Thursday that at least 104 people were killed and more than 750 wounded, with the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemning what it said was a cold-blooded âmassacreâ. [...] People had congregated at al-Rashid Street, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way. Al Jazeera verified footage showing the bodies of dozens of killed and wounded Palestinians being carried onto trucks as no ambulances could reach the area. âWe went to get flour. The Israeli army shot at us. There are many martyrs on the ground and until this moment we are withdrawing them. There is no first aid,â said one witness. Reporting from the scene, Al Jazeeraâs Ismail al-Ghoul said that after opening fire, Israeli tanks advanced and ran over many of the dead and injured bodies. âIt is a massacre, on top of the starvation threatening citizens in Gaza,â he said. The dead and wounded had been taken to four medical centres: al-Shifa, Kamal Adwan, Ahli and the Jordanian hospitals. Ambulances could not reach the area as the roads had been âtotally destroyedâ, said al-Ghoul. âThe numbers will rise. Hospitals are no longer able to accommodate the huge number of patients because they lack fuel, let alone medicine. Hospitals have also run out of blood.â Reporting from occupied East Jerusalem, Al Jazeeraâs Bernard Smith said the Israeli military âinitially tried to pin the blame on the crowdâ saying that dozens were hurt as a consequence of being crushed and trampled when aid trucks arrived. âAnd then, after some pushing the Israelis went on to say that their troops felt threatened, that hundreds of troops approached their troops in a way they posed a threat to them so they responded by opening fire,â Smith added.

Free Palestine - ceasefire now!
There is currently a strike for Palestine taking place from February 18th, 2024, to February 25th, 2024. During this time, I will only be posting about Palestine on this account and doing what I can to spread awareness. If you are able, I highly recommend participating in the strike in whatever way you are able - something is always better than nothing. Staying home from work and/or school, not buying anything that isn't strictly necessary, using your social media platforms only to boost posts about Palestine, etc., are all ways to help the efforts!
Below are various links for ways you can help Palestine, including educational resources, petitions, fundraisers, etc. If you have any to add on, please do, these are just the ones I've found so far.
