After more than two years, my main account @DrDarine has been terminated. This account was not just a social media profile. It was the platform through which I shared my family's suffering with the world, especially Mariam's stories. It was my only way to connect with people, raise awareness about our situation, and make our voices heard.
In very brief summary:
ā Many of our family members were killed during this war.
ā We lost everything, especially our HOME, our heaven, and now we live in a tent with rent.
ā Faced unimaginable displacements and famine, and we continue to suffer from illness caused by the harsh living conditions here in Gaza.

his name is Sabbath he's a demon that was punished and casted to earth to live as a farm animal
he still has demon abilities but it's not as powerful as he once was. he's punished to live as a stinky farm animal that gets sheered and milked(joking)

he also likes heavy praise and being feared. his appearance is a sheep/goat but others know something is "off" about Sabbath so they avoid him all together.

i straight up do not believe that odysseus did everything he did to get back to penelope and telemakhos. or even that he did everything he could. wanting to return to them is not the whole story. i like the myth about odysseus pretending to be mad to get out of the war for lots of reasons, but one of them is because it's an attempt to escape the narrative, foiled by his love for his son, but also because there is contrast to what we know of him long after the narrative has sucked him back in. odysseus is no less kleospilled than anyone else! he fights for his pride; he makes mistakes; he gets worn down; he delays his homecoming, in ways that are and aren't his fault, all the time. he wants to go home. he doesn't just want to go home.
but he does try. by leaving ogygia he willingly goes back into the narrative one more time, and he never gives up until he finally returns. isn't that compelling enough? do we have to sand it down?
another reason this tension interests me is that odysseus does seem to question if it was all worth it. at least by the point that we meet him, twenty years on. that doesn't hit as hard if he wasn't invested in the war at all, right? if there's no definitive moment where he gets peace, there's also no definitive moment where he gets anything the war promised, either. there's that provocative simile where songs about troy make him weep like a woman whose husband has been killed, who is about to be taken into slavery, a condition he inflicted on countless trojan women. the sirens promise a version of the war that makes sense of his suffering. so he must be wondering.
but it's all very well for achilles in the underworld to say it's better to be alive without glory than dead with it: he doesn't have a choice anymore. but when odysseus tells that story, too, he must still be wondering. was it worth it? what can i do that would make it worth it?

im tired of it being seen as immoral to find the two/overlapping people from those groups attractive or desirable in a sexual way. I'll be honest, most people who try to advocate for disability or fat lib have been ableist or fatphobic in this instance and it's quite astonishing to see this happen.

i really tried holding off making this for as long as possible because i simply HATE making these and i know i'm not the only one going through bad times but unfortunately i'm left with no choice if i want to pay my rent. if you donāt know me, i've been out of a steady job since december (and i'm suing my former employer for workplace abuse) and on top of a bunch of health issues i also care for my disabled mother, and we've been living off her small pension while i look, and look for another job (i'm on an unpaid internship that could turn into a job. maybe????)
i dont mean to bother anyone, i know times are hell right now but if anyone has the ability to help a random person make it to the end of the month i would be so incredibly grateful.
i just want to be able to stay here. i honestly hate to do this but iām desperate and i dont know what to do.
