How can you tell what animal some bones you found come from? The answer is sometimes simpler than you’d expect.

I dropped off some foster cats and went bone hunting on the way back. This took about an hour to find, in a fairly random field.

Then I drove a little further home and stopped where I had seen a dead border collie 2 years before. I had contacted the owner back then but I guess they never came and got it.

I visited the natural history museum in Bern, Switzerland! They had so many cool things on display. They have dioramas, which you don't see often in Europe! They also have taxidermied fish of the species that live in Switzerland, an entire wall of bird nests, heads, feathers, claws, and eggs, loads of pinned insects, and an entire room with just wet preserved specimens. I could've stayed there all day long
