This image (the 24th variant of my second iteration on the "burqa” image) took upwards of 6 hours.  Quite a lot longer than I expected, or originally intended.  I wanted an image that was gripping, powerful, dark, austere, elegant, and with patches of intense color.  I spent a lot of time tweaking the composition, in small but noticeable ways to give a uniform and [asian] feel.  It leans towards a thoroughly orientalist kind of narrative and aesthetic, for which I partially apologize.
