Remembering my grandpa today. His old photo albums are filled with pictures of smiles, friends, and girls. I like to think that after 5 years of war and hunger he had his share of freedom and peace, was able to enjoy his youth.

He would’ve been 96 today (May 2). Rest in peace grandpa, I love you.

This is like one of those romance novels where people bond over accidentally writing each other emails but better.

Like Pride and Prejudice but instead of the love interest getting dissed for his toxicity and then reforming, it’s just two people bonding over dissing a dead toxic asshole.

10/10 would recommend

YES my Tumblr friends, I found another working VHS tape (in a box, in my parents loft)

This one had been stopped at Irresistible 🥲

But not at the final scene, as one would expect. Young me was probably studying Mulder’s tenderness and how she was determined to remain on the case. I most likely wouldn’t have been able to see her trying to fight back tears, given the poor quality of the image.

GA looks so, so gorgeous in this! Glad I have a larger TV now so I can pause and take pictures.

The sound from that VHS is atrocious, but I don’t think it’s a problem with the VCR or the speakers- it matches my memory of the classic episodes, especially when you consider I watched them dubbed. I think that’s why I used to buy the guide books, to help me understand the stories as sometimes I wouldn’t get the dialogue (😭)
