I hate when people tell someone they could have it worse and how they have a lot to be happy about. depression is a lot deeper than that. These are things that are said to me on a daily basis.

“Just go for a drive and clear your head”

I’m getting tired of trying to explain myself to people and how it goes deeper than just choosing to be happy and finding the positives in situations. sometimes you just can’t find anything to be happy about. And that’s okay. Don’t let anyone invalidate your feelings and depression/anxiety. Your feelings are real. It’s ok to not be happy. I’ll continue to fight and hope one day I WILL be happy but I really hate when people tell me I could have it worse. I’m very aware of that. But it’s not ok to compare peoples situations and invalidate somebody’s depression.
