Steph grins and racks her neck. “Yea well, I always get my man.” She chuckles and sits down to take a deep breath. “I think I need a vacation, what does that make? 9 in a month? I was lucky to get 3 before.”

No sudden movements.” Quickly Stephanie whipped out her phone and snapped a few really good photos before raising her gun to the ceiling above him and firing, running as some ceiling debris rains down on him.

What the fuck was wrong with this woman? Connor stood there, letting those photos being taken which was fucking ridiculous- stupid mother fuckers and their phones now a days. When the debris began to snow down around him he ignored the bits that fell on him and stepped forth. Sweeping up the hand axe he had dropped prior to this and gave it a low throw- mainly aiming for those running legs.

She glances behind her and hits the floor with a grunt, axe clattering beside her with blood splattered across it. “Oh fuck...” Steph grips it and stands, limping as blood runs down her calf. “You threw it at me! That was a bad idea because you gave me something to defend myself with. Aside from my fucking gun.” Her heart was racing but she stood steady, waiting for him to move. “Going to kill me? Well i’m not going down without taking you with me.”

“Well, as soon as possible would be nice but how about I give you my card and you can call me when you have him? It’s really no big deal, whenever.” Stephanie hands him her card and smiles. “It’s nice to meet you Murphy, I’m Stephanie.”

He nods once, a small smile brightening his features for a moment as he slips her card into his wallet and shakes her hand firmly. “Likewise, Stephanie. Gotta tell yah, they gave you a helluva target tah track down–almost as big of a pain in the arse as me brother ‘n I.” Murphy smirks faintly, only half-joking.

“Well, if they ever put me on yours or your brothers case, I will politely refuse. I don’t care how much they offer me per brother.” Stephanie smirks. “Yea, I did my surveillance. I know exactly who you two are. Secrets safe with me. But I still need your Mexican.” She was actually pretty proud of herself for managing to keep up with the MacManus boys. “I guess you could say I’ve been recruited by a friend of yours.”

She looks at him when he hands the can back and shakes her head. “I brought it for you, please… Think of it as a peace offering, i know how you feel about Alexandria. It’s also… Well, its a goodbye. I can't stay here anymore you know? I think I’m getting weak, it isn’t something I want so I fit better out there. It’s their world, we are just living in it.” Stephanie looks away and sighs. “Keep them safe daryl, Rick… Michonne… Judith needs the most protection. Something so innocent should always smile.”

With that, she stands and stares at the coals. “I can’t sleep anymore, too exhausted to just lay awake and be afraid of these people anymore.”

“You firs’.” He insisted, pushing it into hands and staring at the embers burning by his feet, toeing a few loose sparks into the fire again when they spat out. He’d made the fire away from the houses, somewhere inside the walls but still far away from everyone else. He looked over at the other for a second and then dipped his spoon into the can of soup, sipping it off the attachment with a gentle sigh.

“Y’shouldn’ go.” He said quietly. “Y’shoul’ do what I do.” He sighed, looking over at her and then the wall that had been put up to protect them all. “Y’should recruit. With Aaron an’ I.”

Stephanie thinks about it and looks out and around. “Will they give me my guns back...” Her hand instinctively touched the thigh holster, void of her gun or knife and clips. “Because though I am wearing clothes, I’m naked.” She sat back down. “What do you and Aaron do? Track down people?”

Steph watches him. “Is Aaron even useful?”

I try talking and laughing with them but we are survivors, they never lived like us.” She pulls out her knife and starts poking at the ground, digging a bit. “Oh, but I got something.” Quickly she pulled a can from her hip pouch. “I lifted this from the kitchen, sticky fingers and all.” Stephanie hands it to him. “And it isn’t beans, thank god. I am so over beans.” She laughs softly and goes back to poking at the ground. “Of all the things to survive an apocalypse…”

Not for me, at least.” He looked at the can with a smile, slowly reaching into his back pocket for an old swiss army knife he’d found on a corpse a while back. It seemed a shame to let it go to waste, after all. He fiddled with the can opener attachment; even though he could use his knife it blunted the blade.
