He begins to open his mouth to argue, before shaking his head and guiding her to the couch. “I’ll do more than that. Sit there and try not too bleed on it too much. Getting the stains out is the worst.” Turning, he disappears upstairs to get his med kit.

Charlie blushes and looks down. “When I was a small girl… My dad would always encourage me to sing like I had a purpose… Back then I sang off key and frankly bad…” She clears her throat. “In elementary, I got to sing in front of other people and they didn’t cringe so I kept singing… Now I mostly do covers. Right now I’m learning how to play Save your Scissors by City and Colour on the violin…”
“Well,” he says with a smile, “isn’t that quite the history! I don’t think I knew that you played the violin, I’d like to hear you play sometime if you don’t mind.” Tilting his head slightly he gets a small puzzled look on his face. “I’m not familiar with that song, I apologize.”
