Sculptural, highly-textured knits are the signature of knitwear specialist Motohiro Tanji. His AW15/16 collection is inspired by ancient ruins, and it’s hard not to get an almost Geigeresque science fiction feel from the organic – but highly organised – shapes bubbling up from his weaves. This controlled nature really comes through in his mixing of both hand and machine-knitting techniques, providing just the right balance of regularity and spontaneity. Tanji brought out a series of knit dresses that covered all the points on the wearability scale, from knit exoskeletons to pieces that could be daring yet understated workwear.

Quasi retro beach meets sleek Asian street minimal in the Spring 2015 ready to wear collection for Cut 25 by Yigal Azroüel. The designer's deft aesthetic prevails in a line up of looks that combine a refreshingly blank canvas of familiar concepts with a consistent overlay of retro beach cues. Think the comfort of casual street staples like graphics-free baseball jackets in the company of well thought out jumpsuits, splashes of coral red and sea blue, and sharp trousers that are begging for a skateboard under them. Effortless, sexy, clean, juiced-up adult fun.
