Hey there, guys, gals, and nonbinary pals!
A couple of months ago, the wonderful Bec started up this blog and it didn't get much following, so now that Cey has joined him to help out around here, we’re making a second intro post!
We do have a few rules though—nothing major, just some things to make our jobs as mods easier, and to make sure y’all get the best of the best!
Be polite and respectful
We’re just two guys who want to help out in the kin community; please and thank yous go a long way in making our days a little brighter, as does a kind tone. We’re people too. If you’re not sure if your request has gone through or not, send us an ask, but please save the aggression for injustice in the world!
Be descriptive
Particularly because Cey lives under a rock and knows 0.2% of anything fun, yet has a mind full of law, medicine, and physics knowledge, giving us more detail in your requests (as well as a full name and source for fictives and fictionkin) helps us a lot when we’re making any sort of request, particularly when it comes to personalising them.
Be patient
There’s only two people here; one has a job and the other spends most of the time sleeping off chronic illness, and neither will always have the spoons—but we will get to your request soon. If it’s been a few days since you submitted a request and you haven’t heard back from us, feel free to ask about it or send it again! But please don’t get mad at us for not having gotten around to it yet; this blog isn’t our whole lives!
Be mindful of potential triggers
Both Bec and Cey have our triggers, and having creepy pictures as your blog icon, or potentially triggering words or phrases in your URL may upset one or both of us, and possibly other visitors to the blog; use your judgement to determine whether or not using the anon feature would be wise so as to avoid common triggers. The same goes for requests, but just to keep them off this blog. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Be ‘kin or a fictive
Whilst we have nothing against anyone else, this blog is solely for ‘kin and fictives; we want to make this a safe space where ‘kin and fictives feel comfortable and welcome to make requests. Active spaces like these are few and far between, so we would rather it if you didn’t request if you’re not kin. Thank you in advance; we greatly appreciate it.
