Standing up for yourself is not toxic, when you’ve dealt with enough and finally speak up to stand your ground the real toxic person will tell you are the toxic one. Do not beat yourself up ever for this reverse manipulation. I’ve been betrayed and lied too, then when I put in my word and didn’t just sit by quiet, they act like the hurt victim.
