Sutton playfully hit the guy on his shoulder. "That was fucking lame and funny at the same time!"
“I will always miss her,” Sutton sighed. “Death Eaters killed my family…then her,” she bit her lip, trying hard not to cry. “She doesn’t even know I’m a fucking witch, I was planning to come to her place and tell her everything but I was too late…she died in my arms.”
“I’m so sorry…” She whispered, placing her hand on her shoulder. “That’s so horrible… My parent’s were supporters of you-know-who’s ideas, it makes me sick to even think about.” She admitted, a lump forming in her throat. “Oh my God…” She gasped at the last bit, pulling her into a hug.
Sutton finally sobbed in Connie's arms. "I wish I could just turn back time..you know?," she looked at her, tears running down her cheeks.
“She really is,” Sutton breathed heavily, trying her best not to break down in front of the girl she just met.
“I…I’m sorry. We don’t have to talk about her anymore?”
"It's okay," Sutton forced a smile. "I'm gonna be fine."
“I don’t really know,” Sutton shrugged.
“Is everything okay, Sutton?” Ingrid asked, frowning.
"Yeah, everything's fine babe, don't worry," Sutton smiled.
"Your joke is too much, I can't- where did you even get that?"
“I’m just sure that I’ll be in my room all night.”
“That sounds boring, why not do something fun?”
"I don't really know," Sutton shrugged.
Sutton laid back down on her bed, “it’s really hard. You just…really miss them. I’m not used to sleeping alone, to be honest,” she sighed. “I wish I could’ve come earlier to save her..”
She nodded her head in agreement, moving over to sit down beside her. “I know exactly what you mean…” She agreed wearily. “And it’s one of those things that people don’t always understand- that you miss them most at the strangest of times… at least in my case.” She mused, tossing her head slightly as she shook her head thoughtfully. “Oh my gosh… what happened?” She asked, placing a hand on top of hers gently. “You don’t have to tell me…” She added a second later.

“No really, it’s okay,” the girl smiled. “I’m not forcing you or anything,” she said rubbing her shoulders. “I’m gonna be okay. You will be, too, right?”
“Well… good…” She began, shooting her an uncertain smile back. “I know- I just, I was giving mixed signals…” She continued apologetically. “And yeah, I hope so… It’s just hard…”
Sutton laid back down on her bed, "it's really hard. You just...really miss them. I'm not used to sleeping alone, to be honest," she sighed. "I wish I could've come earlier to save her.."
“It’s okay, I don’t just snog someone like you think,” Sutton rested her cheek on her palm. “Even if you’re so irresistible,” she chuckled. “I’ve lost someone too,” she looked down.
“I’m sorry if I lead you on…” She began apologetically, gaze drooping to the floor before she forced herself to meet her gaze again. “It’s definitely not you… You’re gorgeous- if this had been last year… I wouldn’t have dreamed of stopping you… but, it’s been a rough year.” She explained with a sigh. “I’m really sorry to hear that…”Â
"No really, it's okay," the girl smiled. "I'm not forcing you or anything," she said rubbing her shoulders. "I'm gonna be okay. You will be, too, right?"
“Well I think I do now,” Sutton suddenly pecked on her lips then pulled away. “What if it’s you?”
“Oh…” She managed, smiling weakly before Sutton pecked her. It was really at the kiss that she realised she wasn’t ready, and she was beyond relieved when it ended as quickly as it had started. “I’d say I’d be flattered… But I just lost somebody and I’m not sure if I’m ready for whatever a midnight snog with someone as gorgeous as you might bring.” She admitted. “Sorry, I just made things awkward…” She apologised.
"It's okay, I don't just snog someone like you think," Sutton rested her cheek on her palm. "Even if you're so irresistible," she chuckled. "I've lost someone too," she looked down.
“It’s really hard to stop myself from kissing you, your lips look very tempting right now,” she smirked, running her thumb on the other girl’s lower lip.
“And here I was thinking you weren’t going to be able to find anyone to kiss.” She teased, biting down on her lower lip at her statement nevertheless.Â
"Well I think I do now," Sutton suddenly pecked on her lips then pulled away. "What if it's you?"
Sutton giggled as she watched the other girl talk. “Is that too much obvious? Hmm?,” she asked, poking her tongue out. “Well..,” she caressed the other girl’s cheek with her thumb.
Connie couldn’t help but shake her head in bemusement as the other giggled. “Just a tad.” She laughed back, a grin spreading across her lips as she dragged her thumb across her cheek. “Well?” She replied, raising an eyebrow as she tried to keep a smirk off of her lips.
"It's really hard to stop myself from kissing you, your lips look very tempting right now," she smirked, running her thumb on the other girl's lower lip.
“Yeah it’s okay,” Sutton half smiled. “She’s really smart, and adorable and she doesn’t even have to try,” she sighed. “I miss her so much.”
“Wow, she really sounds wonderful.” Erin remarks.
"She really is," Sutton breathed heavily, trying her best not to break down in front of the girl she just met.
“Yeah, you do look like her, except her hair’s a little longer than yours,” she shrugged.
“I…I see. Is it okay… if…if I ask what she’s like?”
"Yeah it's okay," Sutton half smiled. "She's really smart, and adorable and she doesn't even have to try," she sighed. "I miss her so much."
“Half of the student body?,” Sutton chuckled. “You sure about that babe? I mean, why would they want to?,” she bit her lip looking at the other girl.
“At least.” She assured her with a smile. “Well, I mean… Even if they didn’t pick up on how much of a flirt you obviously are…” She began, shooting her a smirk. “You’re not exactly hard on the eyes…” She shrugged, laughing slightly.Â
Sutton giggled as she watched the other girl talk. "Is that too much obvious? Hmm?," she asked, poking her tongue out. "Well..," she caressed the other girl's cheek with her thumb.
“I’m sure anyone would want to kiss you babe.”
“I don’t know about anyone, that’s giving me a lot more credit than deserved.”
"I'm just sure that I'll be in my room all night."
“I’m totally excited for New Year. I’m wondering who’ll be my New Year’s kiss though.”
“My thoughts exactly, because I am free!”Â
"I'm sure anyone would want to kiss you babe."
