Some people hate and expect affection Some people lie and demand the truth I gotta ask myself if it's soul deception Is this the natural thing that we all just do
We take such pleasure from pain, I'm just tired of playing that game Some things you've got to change
You've got to stand and deliver, with your body and soul Stand and deliver, just give me something to hold Stand and deliver, if the truth can be told We can make it together, if we stand - stand and deliver
Sometimes my mind drives me to distraction I want to shut all the windows and lock the doors And everytime I get a little bit of satisfaction I see the walls come tumbling to the floor
I know in this life, you gotta stand up for what feels right Each day and every night
Why not look longer at something? Look longer, and maybe see more.

Cover of the fourth issue of the United States based English language anime magazine, Animag, 1988. The editorial states that the artist who did the cover artwork wished to remain anonymous. Scanned from my personal collection.
Say, you're the captain of this ship, but why did you go into battle yourself? Riding that robot?
What, the Tetsujin? Only a righteous warrior adept at many things is entrusted with command. Which means we must also be ready as ace pilots.
Discipline, Confidence, Competence, Responsibility, Teamwork, Vigilance, and ???
"There's a sort of code of professional ethics for flight controllers. And it starts with discipline, confidence, competence, responsibility, teamwork, vigilance, and there's one other that skips my mind at the moment. But interestingly, our Sailor Moon, among others, demonstrates all of those in her transformed form."
"That code begins with instilling within ourselves these properties necessary for professional excellence. Which means that they don't exist to begin with. We have to develop them in ourselves. And there's that parallel in the entertainment that I was showcasing."

Academy Award Winners for Best Cinematography: 2001 — Peter Pau, HKSC 臥虎藏龍 / Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) Directed by Ang Lee Aspect Ratio: 2.39 : 1
"We make a lot of period action films in Hong Kong, and we generally use hard light and a full range of colors. We control them very carefully, often using extreme blacks and pure whites and mixing deep reds and blues with lots of fog and smoke effects. But that dynamic approach did not work for Crouching Tiger, because the storytelling approach was very dramatic; using those techniques would have overdramatized the film and taken the audience out of the story and away from the characters. Instead, we wanted a look that was realistic and comfortable, so the first thing I discussed with Ang was using a low-contrast visual approach with desaturated colors."— Peter Pau for The American Society of Cinematographers, January 2001
On the 22nd of November, fourteen years ago, The King of Fighters XIII was released in North America for the XBOX 360 and PS3.
The fast-paced The King of Fighters XIII refines the classic team-based 3-on-3 combat with beautifully detailed hand-drawn sprites, smooth animation, and deep, technical gameplay, featuring an expanded story focused on the Ash Crimson saga, a large roster of iconic characters, refined mechanics like HD mode, Drive Cancels, and EX specials, and a strong emphasis on precise timing, combos, and competitive play.
