So…. if I’m following this person’s logic (using that term in the loosest sense possible here, mind) in order to disbelieve something you first have to admit it exists (my head hurts even trying to follow this train of thought, but stick with me)…
So…. that means that this person believes in Odin (or insert deity of your choice here), right?
Because they believe in god, and the devil, so I’m gathering they’re a Christian, so therefore the only god they believe in is the Christian God, which means they don’t believe in other gods, which, by their logic, means that in order to deny that Odin exists they have to believe in Odin to some extent. Therefore, if we apply their logic, they are saying that all gods exist.
Somehow I don’t think that is what they were going for.
This person seems to be implying that understanding the concept of ‘God’ means you must believe in God. I.E. in order to deny believing in God you must first have a concept of God, therefore you must believe in God somewhat.
To this person, I say, look out for those minotaurs on the way home!
"atheist (...) to DENY the fact that you DON'T believe in God"????
Why would an atheist deny that they don't believe in god?
This argument makes my logic hurt.
