Hiatus Notice

In case it hasn’t become very obvious, my activity here has been marginal at best. I’ve lost muse for Riyo (and also Fives), despite my best efforts to keep her alive and strong. And I don’t have the time or energy to struggle with a blog that isn’t fun for me to be on.

I’m sorry for the partners I’ve been shitty to, I apologize, you all deserve better. 

I’m not going to delete the blog, because I’d like to come back to her in the future but… I don’t know if that will ever happen.

Clenching his jaw as she leaned forward, he had to bite hit lip to stop himself from doing anything that would get him in trouble…by this lovely woman he got to call his wife. "Oh…now you’re just…teasing me.."He said, his body growing warm. He had to stay focus…

"I think I would feel the same..if you were with another man pretending to be his wife."He said, smirking and leaned over slightly, his hands moving from her hips to the counter. He kissed down her neck softly..moaning slightly. This was growing increasingly difficult. He needed to get dressed. He was still bare from their time together.

“I am not teasing,” Riyo protested, knowing she was only half teasing him. “I’m just trying to put my face on,” she said, arching an eyebrow at him in the mirror as she continued to apply her makeup. She didn’t have time for another romp, no matter how fun it would be. 

She heard his moan and had to close her eyes, arousal flashing through her body for a moment, and she needed to resist the urge to press back against him. “I thought I told you to behave,” she told him, voice a little husky as she tried to keep her own desire under control. It was hard to deny the power Anakin had over her, though.

Dax nodded, sighing. He then heard what sounded like an animal growling. When he opened his eyes, he saw some sort of wild dog coming around the corner. Before he could react, it had already lunged at Riyo, sinking its teeth into her leg. 

He scrambled for his blaster before throwing himself on the mutt, his weapon landing beside the wounded Senator as he wrestled the hound. “Shoot it! For force sake, blast the thing!”

Riyo was more than a little distracted when a rush of movement drew her attention back in front of her, letting out a scream of pain as she felt sharp teeth dig into her flesh. Without thinking, she yanked her leg back, trying to pull herself free, but she only succeeded in ripping more skin and muscle from her bone.

It seemed like years before Dax had jumped on the creature attacking her, and she stretched to grab the blaster he had dropped. She took a deep breath and leveled it at the monster’s head, shooting repeatedly until the grip on her leg was finally released. Blood cascaded from her ripped pants, soaking into the sand beneath them, turning it into a sticky red mud. “Kriff,” she gasped, not realizing tears were trailing down her cheeks.

Anakin nodded,"Well, that’s good. I’m glad you’ve been able to keep up with events and…such."He said and took another swallow of water. It was odd…everything about this…was odd and he didn’t know why. Maybe it was just another woman coming back into his life. Honestly though, he swore of relationships until his last dying breath. He’d been hurt one to many times. "Sounds like Leia."He said and smiled at the thought of his oldest girl,"But it’s more between…being a Jedi or following politics…She’s been leaning heavily towards Jedi, which I’m very glad.” Taking a deep breath, he turned to look over at her,“So, are you here permanently?”

“I’m sure Coruscant has plenty of politicians,” Riyo agreed with a nod. She was sure that Sai wasn’t going to follow her into politics, but that didn’t bother her. She wanted Sai to follow her own dreams. Though... preferably that wouldn’t lead to piracy.

“That’s the plan, yes. I have a home on Pantora but... I thought it best for us to get away for now, and Coruscant does have some of the best schools in the galaxy,” she said with a chuckle. “It’ll be a good place to raise Sai, I think.”

          → Laughing quietly, Ahsoka’s crystal blue gaze was locked on the Senator’s golden one, though it was out of habit. Looking at someone when they’re speaking to you and all, that was something she had to learn and work on. “I’m alright waiting out here.” As she went on to talk about her Pantoran nature, she was intrigued, and decided to give another small bit of information on her Togrutan nature. “You prefer the cold? That’s.. honestly? That’s pretty cool. My body is colder than a normal person’s, everyone in my species’s body is, so.. I honestly prefer the heat, how warm it feels on my skin.. it’s comforting, you know?”

Riyo smiled softly and nodded. “Pantora is fairly cold, even our hot days are considered mild by most standards. I prefer being surrounded by knee deep snow, and a sky full of clouds. It’s where I’m most comfortable,” she said with a smile. “I like warmth. It’s just... what I consider warm is much colder than it is for most people,” she said with a chuckle, running a hand through her hair.

“Give me a few minutes and I’ll be right back,” she said with a quick grin, nodding to her friend before hurrying back into her apartment. She didn’t want to take the time to shower with a friend waiting, so she used a wet rag to wipe off the sweat before pulling on on teal dress that came down to her ankles, clinging to her hips and flowing loosely beneath it. It didn’t take long for her to return to Ahsoka, lavender hair tumbling in waves down her shoulder.

“Alright, I’m all ready.”

Anakin chuckled slightly at her comment, “I…yeah, you were a senator.."He said and took a sip of the water. It was odd seeing an old friend. Before all hell broke loose in his life. When things were normal-or as normal as possible. Now things have exploded in his face once more. He was barely the man he once was…if he was at all two failed marriages. Two marriages he didn’t want. "Oh a daughter? Well, that’s wonderful…I’ve got…four kids.."He said and looked at the table.."Luke..and Leia. They’re twins. Almost nine…"And Luke…the renegade child who…didn’t really see him as his dad..kriff he hated his life. "And…well you met the other two. Ilyan and Shmi. Ilyan just turned seven and Shmi is three..What about your girl? What’s her name?"He asked, "And that’s awesome that you’re back. I’m sure you’ll be filled in soon about everything that’s happened…in the years since you’ve been gone.”

She watched him as he spoke about his children. She could tell he loved them, despite the pain he was feeling. Having her one failed marriage was hard enough, and she had been the one to chose to leave him. She couldn’t imagine two spouses walking away. The heartbreak would be... unbearable.

“I’ve been in touch with more than a few colleagues, I’ve been keeping up on current events,” she explained, taking a drink of her water, trying to distract herself from thoughts of her ex-husband. “Her name is Sai. Smart as a whip, dark hair, and getting darker every year,” she said with a smile, dark hair like her father... though she hated thinking that.

“Some days she wants to be a princess, others she wants to be a space pirate,” she said with a laugh, smiling fondly as she thought of her daughter. “Lately it’s been leaning more and more towards pirate. I’m starting to think I should be worried.”

“Sorry?” Riyo’s brow furrowed as she stepped into the apartment, more than a little confused as to why he was apologizing. “Sorry for what?” It’s not like he had done anything wrong. The children had wandered off.

“Ilyan seems to be incredibly clever, much like his father from what I’ve heard. Does it surprise you he could sneak away?” She smiled as she looked at the young boy, feeling her heart pang as she thought of the struggle he must be going through. The whole family, really, had been through hell.

“I’m just glad I found them and was able to convince Ilyan to let me help. He’s quite sharp, isn’t he?” Speaking about the children would be a good topic. It wouldn’t hurt like bringing up Ahsoka would. At least, that was what she hoped.

“For…these two doing what they did. Ruined your day. I’ll make up for it. Just…please, come in. I can get you something to drink at least.” The door slid shut and he walked her into the living room. He was just about  to head to the kitchen until she spoke.

“He…yeah, it…doesn’t really surprise me.”He said, looking at Ilyan before the boy disappeared into the hallway. He took a deep breath, fighting the frown that wanted to stretch on his lips,”Takes a lot after me. I love and hate it.”He muttered and turned to face her. “Please, sit.”He said, gesturing to the couch. He went into the kitchen and fetched them both some water, then carried it out and handed the glass to her.

“I am too…I’m surprised you were able to convince him. I…kriff I can’t believe he did that..”He said and shook his head, “Thank you for that though…really.”He said, offering a smile, “So…tell me…how has it been since we’ve last…met?”

Riyo smiled softly as she settled on the couch, waiting for Anakin to return. She took a sip of her water when it was handed to her, and held the glass easily as she turned to look to him. "I assure you, my day has not been ruined by them. It was a treat to get to meet them, and I'm glad I was able to help," she said, knowing things might not have gone so well for the children if somebody else had tried to pick them up. "And if you care to remember, I'm quite persuasive when I need to be," she said with a soft laugh, her mind going back to the first time they'd met, and the war he and Obi-Wan had helped her to end. "I've been good since we last met," she started though that was only partially true. "Spent about six or so years on Pantora, I have a daughter not much older than Ilyan, we moved back to Coruscant only recently... I'm in the Senate building again, but as an Advisor this time."

The Togruta smiled slightly, the flash of sharp teeth of her species. “I’m not a Jedi any longer, the only way I would have been killed with them was if I’d been in close quarters with a clone.” Which, she had been, but Boba hadn’t received the order, and as far as they knew.. he would never.

“With all the trouble though, it seemed best to stay away for my safety as well as anyone else’s.”

“Well, I know you’re not a Jedi anymore but...” Riyo trailed off and frowned. “That didn’t make you any less of a target. They’ve been killing any force user they can find.” She understood why Ahsoka had run away, why she’d kept out of contact. She couldn’t blame her. But it still hurt.

“You’ve been good, though? What are you doing here?” she asked, blue brow furrowing for a moment as she looked at the other woman. “Is it safe for you here...?”

          → Slipping her hand under her back lek for a moment, Ahsoka rubbed the back of her neck shyly and rather nervously. “I.. I don’t really mind either way, just.. for me, lots of meat.. whichever option we do..” She replied, laughing quietly yet nervously. “Vegetables and fruit they uh.. don’t really sit that well on my stomach.. because of my species, and how we’re carnivores, basically.” She then explained, looking up at Riyo as she stood, though the young Togruta remained sitting. Her stripes remained purple, and she was still caught off guard from the initial question.

“Ah, perhaps a restaurant, then,” Riyo said with a quick grin. “I prefer fish and fruits or vegetables. I’m not sure I have enough red meat for your tastes,” she said with a chuckle. “Would  you like to come in with me? You might be more comfortable waiting in my living room,” she said, glancing up to the sun high in the sky.

“I’ve never been a fan of how hot it gets here in the summer,” she said with a heavy sigh. “Though, that might be my Pantoran nature. We prefer cooler climates.”

He stared at his children, Ilyan unable to look at Anakin but Shmi…completely unaware of what her brother had done, smiled up at Anakin, “Daddy! Ily says we were lookin’ for Mama!”She said, beaming up at him and giggling. Anakin swallowed and closed his eyes. He really looked terrible. Everyday was a struggle and he had to stay focused…for those little two kids in front of him and the other tww who were at their mother’s..

“I-I am so sorry. I…just…”He moved out of the way, “Please come in…”He said and Ilyan walked in, head hung and Shmi following. “I-I don’t know how…they got out of the Temple. I-I am so sorry, Riyo..”
