As the S.H.I.E.L.D. briefing drew to a close and they filed out of the meeting room, Steve grabbed Tony by the collar and shoved him unceremoniously into the nearest closet. He kicked the door shut, pushed Tony back against the shelves of cleaning supplies, and loomed over him. With his shield still clamped to his back over his navy blue stealth suit, Steve looked even wider and more imposing than usual.
Steve prowled into Tony’s personal space, backing him up until there were mere millimeters between their bodies. As Steve towered over him, Tony was acutely aware of the few inches of height between them.

I took the liberty to make it a bit more complicated: De-aged AA!Steve appears in MCU!Tony’s workshop, shenanigans ensue, while MCU!Steve can’t believe how good Tony is with this little him. Discovering maybe he’s been wrong about Stark. Until AA!Tony finds his dearly missed husband and takes him back home, leaving MCU Steve and Tony with a lot to deal with.

Alright, so the kid was him, but not him from the past. Also, not a clone. Bruce proclaimed there was no doubt about the serum being present in little Steve, he was healthy and obviously on the bigger side for a two-year-old. It sure did explain the appetite mini he had. There was no doubt it was a supersoldier level of food inhalation. The apple juice he picked had an enormous success, which didn’t really surprise him, since it’s his favorite, too. But the bottom line was, he’s everything Steve himself was not at his age. He ignored the wistful almost envious feeling in his gut. Instead, he focused on the fact it shortened the list of Tony’s possible reasons for his presence.
Bruce left them a while ago, saying he’s going to try to get ahold of Richards, because ‘he’s the resident expert on the multiverse, Tony. It doesn’t matter that you don’t like him, we need his help’.
Tony wanted to go through some math, while Bruce tried to find 'Mr. Fantastic’, but was abruptly interrupted by little Steve, who basically ignored Steve’s presence and toddled after the billionaire like an imprinted duckling. Steve found it acutely disturbing, bordering with horrifying.
“'ony, up! Up, up!” Hollered the kid waving it’s little but strong arms in the air. Stark didn’t hesitate even for a second. It shocked Steve at the beginning, but with each passed minute, it seemed more and more like a norm. It just… he seemed so natural, hoisting the child of his hip, talking a mile a minute to him about everything he clearly attempted to do. It was almost unguarded; Steve never saw Stark like this before.

Summary: Steve Rogers from Earth-616 meets Natasha Stark from Erath-3490 in a world that is neither his nor hers. Together, they share (soft) drinks, a (slow) dance, and a few uncomfortable truths, while waiting for the multiverse to drop them back home.
Tony is Incarcerated in the Raft
Ross learns that Tony went to Siberia without permission and also thinks that Tony gave Steve the codes to get into the Raft to break out the others (although it was actually Sharon Carter and Tony suspects this but won’t ever tell). Ross arrests Tony and tosses him into a cell in the Raft. Sharon informs Steve about it but he and the others think it’s great. Clint and Wanda, especially thinks it’s hilarious karma. Tit for Tat, what’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander, it’ll be good for Tony to learn a lesson, etc., etc. The team were held on the Raft for a week so they laughingly decide 2 weeks sounds about right for Tony before they break him out. Meanwhile, Ross is determined to get Tony to give up the Iron man tech but can’t go overboard on the interrogation techniques. 2 days before the time the team had decided that it’s time to finally spring Tony, Ross arrives and moves Tony to a secret facility where he can employ more “vigorous” means of interrogation to get what he wants from Tony. When Sharon informs the other Avengers that Tony is no longer on the Raft and she has no idea where he is, the others realise they’ve screwed up. After months of searching they finally find and rescue an emaciated, traumatized Tony who had given up hope but never given in. The rest of the story would be about rebuilding; Tony’s health, his sanity, the team, trust, family and love. I’d like to see it realistically written without too much fluff, cuddles or sugary schmaltz. Someone, please, please make this happen. Steve shyly confesses that he’s always imagined having a church wedding. Tony never imagined he’d get married at all. He’s not religious, but if it makes Steve happy then a big flowery church wedding it is.
Matt Murdock offers his services as an officiator, if Steve doesn’t mind the denomination? Steve is delighted by the idea of being married by a friend.
They still haven’t picked a venue, but Matt and Pepper are spotted deep in Serious Discussions. A few days later, they get an invitation from no less than the Archbishop of New York to get married in St Patrick’s. Just like that, their big church wedding is now an even bigger cathedral wedding.
There’s a brief argument about who is going to be in the bridal party. Aren’t best men old fashioned, and kind of sexist? They decide sod it, and invite the entire Avengers team to be their bridal party. At least there’s enough room in the cathedral to fit everyone in.
A few days before the ceremony, Bucky tries to give Tony the “If you hurt him I’ll hurt you” speech. But Tony’s so exhausted and over-emotional that he bursts into tears as soon as Bucky start talking. Bucky’s left there, panicking slightly, going “Shit, Stark, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it, I know how much you love him, and I’m so happy for you both, really, and yes, I love him too…”
Jan volunteers to make all the decorations, and does an amazing job, which everyone expected. What they didn’t expect was Natasha to get quite so involved in hand-making pompoms and blue and red paper bunting. When anyone even considers teasing her about it, she makes threatening motions with her scissors; that shuts them up fast.
Tony only just staves off a full-on panic attack the morning of the wedding and locks himself in the bathroom for a few hours, threatening to stay in there for good. Fortunately Pepper and Rhodey are on hand to coax him out by reminding him that he has to come out eventually or he’ll miss Steve looking dashing in his full military dress uniform.
Steve smiles all the time. He has, in fact, been smiling ever since Tony said yes. He smiles while he gets harangued by reporters, he smiles while he has to look at 87 different flower arrangements, he smiles while he argues with Tony about whether they should play AC/DC at the ceremony.
Of course the X-Men and the Defenders turn up, along with all the other New York heroes. Somewhat to everyone’s surprise, Doom, Magneto, and Whitney Frost come too. They sit serenely through the ceremony then tear up the dance floor together at the reception, making everyone else feel slightly uncomfortable.
At the end of the night, Doom quietly pulls Steve aside to impress How Very Fortunate he is and that he’d better do right by Tony, but if he ever mentions this conversation to him he’ll find a Doombot waiting for him. Steve just smiles and nods.

[Any] Everyone knows Tony is good at running away but they don't realize how easy it is for him to disappear. Cue Steve trying to find Tony after a fight about how Tony runs away and panicking when he can't find him anywhere. The team doesn't think anything of it until THEY can't find him either. Tony returns before they file a report and Steve realizes that Tony makes it easy to find him usually because he wants to see if Steve cares enough to come after him.
MCU-- Tony wants to show Steve why they need accountability during the Civil War. So he takes over the world. For a day, he'll give it back, he promises. Somehow, Steve finds this Not Good but also really, really hot.
