BLADE RUNNER (1982)
Something about rain, especially in a cold, foggy city, is incredibly comforting to me. Wrapped in layers and coats (so many great coats in this film and Blade Runner: 2049) and surrounded by tall buildings and lights, it feels warm and safe somehow. This feeling has had me utterly magnetized to the Blade Runner world since I finished watching the film. As I became engrossed in the visual appeal of each scene, I couldn’t stop thinking that I wish I could live there, in perpetual rainy night, wrapped up in a fur coat or a transparent plastic jacket.
