Furuba Another Kids: What they inherited
So I long ago did a post as it was being released of the Furuba kids that appeared in Another. This is a post covering the kids that have appeared through volume 2 of Another, and comparing them to their parents and relatives.
Hajime (Kyou x Tohru’s eldest child)
Looks: Clearly his father’s kid, though his hair isn’t quite as bright orange
Personality: A mix of Kyou and Tohru. He runs when embarrassed, and can come across as brash like Kyou. But like his mom, he looks out for the younger Sohmas and Sawa, acting like a “father” (much how Tohru was like a “mother” back in the day). He can cook and clean and is pretty self-sufficient around the house, like Tohru as well.
Mutsuki (Yuki x Machi’s only child)
Looks: A mix of Yuki and Machi. Has his dad’s silver hair and eyes, but his eye shape looks more like Machi’s. His hair is also not as straight as Yuki’s, which may also come from Machi.
Personality: A mix of Yuki, Machi, and Ayame. He is messy like both of his parents. Like Yuki, he has a bit of a dark side (think confident Yuki toward the end of the manga) and is also seen as princely. Like Machi, he likes Mogeta. Finally, he can go into long winded speeches and ask for unwanted praise that can completely baffle people, likely something he picked up from Uncle Ayame, who he seems to admire (calling him “most terrific of all uncles”).
Riku (Hatsuharu x Isuzu’s younger twin child)
Looks: Definitely Haru overall, but sometimes his eyes reflect Rin’s expressions more.
Personality: More Rin than Haru. Very quiet, tends to just sleep before class and during lunch, doesn’t go out if the way to talk. Though it was commented that he can have a very angry side if provoked.
Sora (Hatsuharu x Isuzu’s older twin child)
Looks: Definitely Rin’s daughter
Personality: She’s a good artist like Rin, but is more outgoing and has weird quirks like Haru, like randomly sticking her arms straight out when seeing someone she likes and saying random words.
Michi (Kakeru x Komaki’s older child)
Looks: Face and eyes are Kakeru, hair color is Komaki’s
Personality: Kakeru all the way. I imagine he totally took up the mantle of her being “daddy’s little girl”.
Kinu (Hatori x Mayu’s child)
Looks: A mix of Hatori and Mayu. Definitely Haru on the face, but her hair color is likely Mayu’s.
Personality: This is a bit harder to parse out. She is completely relaxed, lacks motivation, but can be manipulative (in a kind way) when need be. If you have better thoughts, I’d love to hear them.
Shiki (Shigure x Akito’s child)
Looks: Definitely Akito’s son.
Personality: Quiet and sensitive to other’s feelings. I think he’s representative of what Akito would have been like had she not been badly influenced by Ren and the politics of the main household.
Hibika (Ayame x Mine’s older child)
Looks: Mostly Mine, but long silky hair like Ayame
Personality: A mix of Ayame and Mine. Spur of the moment, goes on long winded speeches, likes to make clothes, evilly loves to dress up cute girls…no doubting who’s child she is by a long shot.
Chizuru (Ayame x Mine’s younger child)
Looks: Obviously Ayame’s son, just with short hair.
Personality: Yuki. He calls himself “normal”, thinks his father and sister are just crazy, and is the responsible one of the two siblings.
Looks: Face and eyes are Saki’s but his hair is a lighter color
Personality: Slightly Saki. He has some of her personality quirks, but not at the same level.

Looks: Harder to say, but nothing that screams she is Momiji’s daughter.
Personality: Really outgoing, loves playing baseball, not afraid to use her father’s influence to fix things. Again, I’m not seeing much of Momiji here, other than she comes across as cute, like Momiji did for the first 2/3 of the manga.
