disclaimers   :   1. elijah is not solely my concept or creation, as he belongs heavily to my co - creator. it is with his permission that i add things onto elijah and portray him here. 2. there will be exactly zero romantic shipping on this blog. elijah being in love with jezebel is a major facet of his character and not something that can be easily changed. the closest anyone will get is potentially some manipulative flirting. 3. much of this blog, while there will be a lot of elijah’s own development here, will be supplemental to my primary blog.

elijah prince is the son of now deceased vigilante, elijah thaddeus prince sr. and old money socialite, wilma prince (   nee keane   ). elijah sr. died when his son was around seven or so. his death devastated the young boy, but utterly ruined his mother. for the next few following years, they were ghosts to one another, merely passing by. any love a boy his age should’ve been receiving came only in the form of excessive gifts and allowances. at a young age, elijah fell into a deep depression. the world, his mother, even his own life began to mean very little to him. it was at age ten that he happened to bear witness to the brutal murder of one of his mother’s friends, a senator who’d happened to piss off the wrong person who paid out to the convent to ensure his death. 

she couldn’t have been any older than him, certainly younger. eight or nine, he’d suspected. she’d taken out a grown man thrice her size with such ease before setting her sights on elijah. common sense dictated no witnesses and she approached with a knife in hand   ---   until her comms jumped to life with sound, demanding her back. he’d gotten lucky, body flooded with relief until he realized something   ---   he was alive. and grateful for it. his face was flush, his heart was beating, sweat was forming at his brow. in that moment, he realized he’d begun to feel again, color had returned to the world all because of her. 

she’d been caught on a security camera. a stupid mistake. she’d been tremendously lucky. even at ten, elijah knew this game well. one talk with his mother later and they would hold possession of the sole copy of the security tape. he’d watch it, night after night, trying desperately to recreate the feeling of exhilarance. it never came close and that was when he knew, he had to find her again. with his mother’s endless connection and funding, he began to train under the wing of one of the original members of the fate association’s super solider testing and world renowned mercenary, jade wilson. he felt certain that getting into he business would guarantee he’d see her again   ---   and luckily, or perhaps not, he was right.

elijah is unreadable. not even jezebel or jade can find his tells. he has perfect control of every muscle in his body as long as he's thinking about it, down to the slightest twitch.

this is undercut by the fact that if you actually piss him off ( difficult, but possible ), he can lose that control because he isn't focusing on it. jade taught him this skill, but of course, jade is much better at it and maintains control at all times.

elijah doesn't possess the same mental enhancements as jezebel, but he is incredibly intelligent. he's one of very few that can really keep up with how she thinks, the kinds of things she thinks about. he's never lost when she talks and it makes her feel so understood.
