It sure takes a while for everyone to eat. But as soon as the last bite is taken, the food, the table, are all gone.
I mean, it’s not like this happens every day to the point where you get used to it, it totally does. But I was surprised today because I was in the middle of a very deep conversation with Pomni about eggs.
And with a snap in the air, I turn my head to see Caine appearing near. I look at Pomni, and she definitely still looks overstimulated and overwhelmed from yesterday’s adventure.
“Good morning my popped taco shells!” Caine announces throughout the room. “Today’s adventure is the Mystery of The M-“
I think about Pomni’s face and how she looks tired. “Caine, could we please have a calm adventure today?” I interrupt.
The room is shocked. They’d never thought that I’d ask to have a calm adventure.
“W-Well, the adventure I had planned was funny and exciting!” Caine said with sadness.
“I think Zooble would be more than happy to join if it was calm. Right Zooble?” I look at them to get them to agree. They need to agree to come so Caine will change it.
Zooble glares at me for a second, then they realize. “Yeah, I’d join.”
“Oh…Ok,” Caine stammers. “As long as Zooble comes, the adventure is Sunset Fields! Sit and relax while you watch the sunset!” He then spawns a portal for the adventure.
I’m suprised. I didn’t think Caine would actually accept it…
“You look surprised," Pomni chuckles next to me.
“Nope, I’m not. Can’t you see that’s just my PEAK masculinity?”
“We’ll see about that…” Zooble grumbles under their breath.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” I ask, a little too defensive.
“Nothing,” they say as they turn around. “Let’s just go on the adventure.”
