"i ... think i might have found a dahnan artifact. i'm planning on showing it to rinwell but since this is more your expertise?"

an awkwardly sincere glance; lips twitching in hopeful parting. "that perhaps we could go together and have her appraise it. i know how much these mean to you so.." her friend would; shionne hoped; appreciate the fineries of a culture their people had erased far too long. but in this moment; they were only two friends with one desiring him to share in her discovery.

"if you're busy that's fine i just. it wouldn't feel right if i touched it more than i did and honestly? " her smile turns a bit bittersweet; but not losing its charm and optimism at her find. ( don't worry them; do not speak of the suffering. if it leaves your mouth then the existence is all the more unbearable and you know what it means to bear the unbearable. )

casting aside the giant zeugle surrounding shionne; the suffocating pain, something perhaps he related to in his own way? her face brightens into a smile. "a-anyway! i figured you'd want to know."

𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫, 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧.eyes focusing too hard on a single thing, it strains and pains him, if he were more honest with himself and others perhaps he would open up about the headaches he suffers from these moments, but his pain mustn’t burden them — he turns, delayed — still , she gives him a start. ❛ oh — shionne. ❜ he says in his neutral tone. he clears his throat, and begins examining her; she looked worse for wear. tired, more than usual. dohalim knew better than to point it out, but he would make note of it for later, perhaps express worry for her health but he may reach too far.

❛ oh ! ❜ he exclaims, his outburst is loud, and for but a moment he forgets about her thorns and goes to move closer before coming to a halt; her comfort was important to him and as was his own. ❛ i am truly honored you thought to share this with me as well… ❜ his voice trails, softens — something inside him shifts, her kindness warms him. ❛ i think it’s a magnificent idea, shionne. we should show rinwell together, that way we both may look upon her face when it fills with excitement. ❜ a gentle smile touching upon his features. ❛ i think you should be the one to carry it — it was your find. ❜ a beat passes. ❛ you won’t break it — you’re careful. you do not destroy all you touch, i trust it in your hands. ❜ @verursachen

a single image reminding you of someone or something you've lost, something you don't want to live without. you can't seem to move on, to accept life has changed, to live again. you're trapped in the picture, in the past.

maybe this was a lost family member or friend, maybe this was a sickness that isn't going away, maybe this was sinking into depression. but you can't help but remember how life was before, how life after will never be the same, and can't help but feel that nothing in the future will be able to fill the hole the past left.       nothing lasts forever... right?

why is it that dohalims skintone changes so much. and i get so mad when i see edits where he looks so bright because

and then it hit him, like waves crashing against the beach, it left him with less of himself than he had before. the familiarity of his presence — he stands motionless, as though the world has paused around him. the emotions that twist within him caused an audible noise of confusion slips from his lips — was this all my fault? 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦, 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐩. had things been different ... had dohalim been different... then perhaps vholran would have never become this broken shell of a man; vholran. sadness sinks in the corners of his mind. i never did learn your name, the thought runs through his mind. how could he make up for this mistake, how could he face the others, knowing that perhaps even an ounce of kindness could have saved him? an ounce that dohalim had not given him; he had abandoned vholran.
