My little love letter to all my fellow Stranger Things fic writers as the series comes to an end:

I mean this genuinely as someone who has been reading fanfiction since they were like ten, I really don't think I've ever seen another fandom have as many good fics and this one has. YOU GUYS ARE ARTISTS and I hope you don't forget that after the show is over.

I mean it whole heartedly when I say that I've read steddie fics that match the greatness that "All The Young Dude" carries in the marauders fandom. It can be hard to find fics (both ship, x reader, and found family) that are actually good and stick with you in any fandom, but I've found SO MANY that I love within this fandom in a way that i haven't with others.

Not once have I ever been left upset and empty handed from Tumblr or AO3 from Stranger Things fic writers. You are all so good at creating amazing original fic ideas and so many of you do truly beautiful characterizations. I think most of that is because Stranger Things in particular is one of those media's that was MADE FOR FANDOM; and I feel like it's really important to reiterate that before season five comes out.

My blog WILL NOT be a safe space for people to hate on extremely normal fan behavior because that is not what Stranger Things is about. It is a show made for people that are weird, it was made for people that geek out about their favorite things, it was made for people that got picked on because they just didn't fit in a lot of normal spaces, and in my opinion from the fan works I've seen, it's gone above and beyond at reaching it goal (even if we kind of got bogged down by people hating the fandom spaces after Eddie.) So many writers (and artists too, I couldn't forget about all of you) put so much love and care into how you treat the characters and themes of this show in your works.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I don't just want the fanfics so die off once the series is over because I think that some parts of this fandom have created such and amazing space for creativity and community.

Maybe this rant doesn't make sense, but I hope that someone reads it and realizes just how brilliant their works are and from this. I might make a HUGE masterlist of all my personal favorite fics I've found over the years at some point, but for now I just want to say: much love to all of you and thank you for sharing you INCREDIBLE ideas and works with the fandom.
