They were places of great religious importance and people would go on pilgrimages to them. I believe this is one of the small religious towns. As for growing attatched, I already told you I can act like nothing is wrong...but it is an issue if itâs the other way around I suppose. Now...another issue I see is that youâre only attracted to anything not one hundred percent human. Iâm human, though my neighbor calls me a giraffe because Iâm abnormaly tall for a woman.â
She followed him closely, looking at the structure with excitement. âIt looks like it was built during the hight of the unknown period...oh how I wish there was a better name for it, but the government destroyed so many documents about early humanity when they wiped out Ohara.â

Milo set her cat down, smiling at him. âYouâre so cute when you blush.â She ran a hand against his cheek. âLetâs see...we have fun and stress relief as positives. Hmmm...It would probably help us grow closer, either as friends or possibly more if that were to happen. Neither of us have any sexually transmitted diseases. I get tested every spring regardless of sexual activity or not...usually not, due to being busy in the summer.â
âI hope not either, because that would mean the possibility of flooded catacombs and passages...possibly ruined artifacts.â Milo was double checking her tool kit and bag, making sure she had tools that were frequently used in most of her explorations of structures.

âI helped you because I wanted too. I donât like the idea of leaving an injured person to possibly die. As for why Iâm not scared, well, letâs put it like this. Since you donât seem eager to kill me when youâre human, youâre not as much of a monster as you think.â
She sat next to him. âHumans are the real monsters...at least the ones who know full well what they are doing. I have a scar from such a monster. I was working in the Sahara when I was about 16, and a group of desert bandits came to loot our dig site. I was stabbed in the side while trying to protect some pottery with scrolls in them.â
âTrue, it would delay my research and I honestly think that itâd only be about 2 or 3 degrees cooler. If it goes deeper underground though, it may grow colder, especially if there is water still under the temple.â

She sat next to him, deep in thought. âThis is something to think about. Would a physical relationship be good for both of us? After all, we are friends. Would being friends with benefits make our uncertainties clearer or muddle them? At the same time, neither of us are in a romantic situation that would make such a arrangement illegal or socially unacceptable.â
She stood up. âIf we were to initiate a physical relationship, would I need to wear cat ears?â She was smiling, obviously trying to joke.
She turned around, a slight blush as she admired him. âOh...well, do you need help finding it?â She walked over, sliding her dagger into itâs sheath at her thigh. âIf you canât find it, Iâm pretty decent at sewing. I mend my own clothes, so how hard coul;d making a shirt be?â

âYes, I have feelings for you. Itâs puzzling to me, because Iâm not usually one for emotional attachment. Maybe itâs not romantic interest, but it is a form of emotion in that general direction. Itâs not lust nor love, but some form of like. I do not mind that you have no interest in me. Feelings do not have to be returned and Iâm quite capable of going on with our friendship as normal.â
âI donât mind at all.â She turned to give him some privacy, making sure her tools were all in her pouch and her daggers were sharp. She wasnât anticipating anything too dangerous, but having them was a good idea if there were vines blocking the way.

âNo, it is a tradition...I suppose we could just leave it up...â She sighed in frustration. âI think I like you...but Iâm not letting my emotions get the best of me. Iâm not a person of passion, Iâm a person of reason. Iâm not very good at voicing my feelings and I usually avoid expressing my emotions.â
She sat on her couch. âI donât like expressing how I feel. It doesnât feel natural to me.â
