not to be hamilton on main in 2022 but it’s the way hamilton sang so much faster than everyone else as a sign of his greater intelligence/how good he was with words and writing but so many other characters are just as ELOQUENT as him (burr) and just as WITTY as him (jefferson) and just as CUTTING as him (eliza) and whenever he sincerely tried to connect with another character (eliza or burr or maybe washington) he would sing to their melody which almost always required him to slow down bc he saw himself as being so much smarter/quicker than them all when in reality they were all just as intelligent as him
