Here are all the entries submitted for round 2. Remarkably, all 16 remaining contestants not only submitted but did so on time! Please, please, PLEASE read each of them. They're all put the world of effort into their comics. Judging results will be posted soon, before R3 starts on July 12th.
As of May.17th, Round 1 is closed! Judging is now underway, and expected to give results soon.
In the meantime, PLEASE check out each and every entry we got. All 32+ participants submitted, which is remarkably rare for an OCT, and so many of them are excellent despite being only 25 panels long or less. PLEASE give them a read, and let the authors know you appriciate them.

For our special spectator event, we will be assigning people into teams to earn points for prizes and bragging rights! Dominate the other team and prove your way is superior!
This sub-contest will take place during the duration of the tournament. To participate, go to the attached form, submit your character(s) and tell us your preference of which team to be on if you have one. We want the size of each team to be roughly equal, so you might be assigned to the team opposite of what you want.
Once you’re put on a team, every time within a round you submit a spectator entry, your team gains points based on the following criteria:
Submitting a spectator entry
Submitting a spectator entry that’s between 4 panels and 25 panels in length*
Submitting a spectator entry that prominently contains an OC that belongs to your team
Submitting a spectator entry that prominently contains an OC that belongs to the rival team *
0.1 points for each unique non-judge OC cameos in the round, for a maximum of 1 point.
Extra criteria may added each round
if you are an active contestant and submit an official round entry, you gain these 2 points automatically.
Your team gains one point for each criteria you achieve. You can achieve multiple criteria and earn multiple points in a single entry, and you can submit multiple times per round, but you can only earn the point for each criteria once per round. (For example, if you submit a spectator entry featuring an ally OC that’s 8 panels long, then submit a spectator entry featuring a rival OC that’s 10 panels long, you earn 4 points for your team. You get 3 points for the 1st entry and 1 point for the 2nd, even though you achieve 2 of the criteria twice.)
Each spectator round goes from the official round’s beginning to the next round’s beginning. (Submitting during judging breaks and lead ups to the next round are counted towards the previous round.)

There are two prizes for participating: If your team reaches a threshold of 500 points, we will create a mural with every team member within it. AND if your team is the winner, we will create a presentation deck in the style of your team (professionally clean for business, messy and colorful for Pleasure.

Q&A
Do I need to participate in this event to submit spectator/official round entries?
No. This is a side event for fun. You do not have to participate if you don’t have to.
What’s the shortest amount of panels needed to earn a point for the “submitting a spectator entry” criteria?
1 panel, or what we in the biz might call a “splash page.”
Am I permanently stuck on the team I’m assigned to?
No. We might shift teams around if there are many inactive participants, or if someone’s insistent on being on the other team.
What if I want to tell a story that’s longer than 25 panels?
Then tell it. We’d love to hear it. You’d still be earning points for your team, even if it’s not the maximum amount you could be earning.
What do you mean by “prominently contains an X OC?”
Said OC has some form of sway over the plot of your story. Cameos aren’t really counted for this purpose.
Is there a plot reason for the teams?
Not really. You’re free to make one, however.”
Who gains points if we collab for an entry?
Both participants will earn points for their team for submitting their entry (even if they're on different teams.) For example if an entry is normally worth 3, they gain 6 between the 2 of them (but neither contestant can earn that point again per round as usual.)
Conversely, you cannot earn points again if you collab with someone. For example, if an entry earns a combined 8 points, but one contestant already submitted something and gained 3 points, they’d only gain 5 points for the entry as a whole.
Is there a limit to how many people can collab on an entry?
No! Go wild with your artistic polycule! All we is that you only put your name on the entry is you put honest work into the submitted entry.
