Calix listened to Adriana/Veronica whoeverâs pleas with no remorse. He was keeping a secret that he wished he could tell her, just to see what her reaction would be. But she needed to think this was all going to work out according to plan so he kept quiet. It was interesting to see Kelly not caring about an innocent soul, and he wondered if that would keep her guilty for a while, and if this relationship thing would even work out. To be honest, he wasnât rooting for it. He wondered if Jack would murder him if he tried to make a move on Kelly⊠Adriana wasnât bad either, though demons tended to know what he was up to and just told him to fuck off. It was funny that she thought no one was coming to save her though, because that was exactly what was going to happen. He needed to pretend he didnât know about it at all though, and meanwhile was trying to figure out how to break the demon trap. It had always pissed him off that something so simple could trap something so powerful, even him. âWell, letâs get this moving then,â he said, yawning and stretching. This was taking quite a while.
âIf it fixes you I will accept that.â Kellyâs voice was dull and hollow and she tried so hard to keep her emotions contained. But she never could when it came to Adriana. Tears, warm ones, began flowing down her cheeks. She was quick to wipe them away but soon enough her eyes were red rimmed and puffy. Watching Adriana cry, even if it wasnât the face she fell in love with, it was still her Adriana. That made her guilt worse, her chest ache horribly. She was doing something bad, something selfish. She was an angel. She should be better then thatâŠ. What would Jack think of her? Lucian? No, she was quick to wipe those thoughts away. She couldnât let herself dwell on her sons. This was too important. âOkay, seventh.â She spoke, and the injection occurred. Time seemed to move fast to the eight one, the most important one, she memorized the incarnation in her head Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus. Hanc animam redintegra, lustra Lustra, she had the blood ready that she had to fill Adeâs mouth with. âIts time for the last one.â She finally said.
Adriana didnât say much of anything else after the seventh injection and she let the eighth happen without any objections. She simply sat there limp, her eyes on the ground because she couldnât bear to look at Kelly. Maybe it wouldnât be so bad- being human. Adriana still remembered what it felt like- how could she not when those memories had been used to torture her into the monster that she was now? Kelly was right, Kai could had a mother who genuinely cared for him- she could get a second chance to do things right after having to leave her little girl so early in her life. God⊠Adelita. What would her little girl think if she could see her now? All the things she had done? The mother who had once danced with her and taught her to cook and gave her everything she had⊠she was a demon. All the things she had done, all the people she had hurt⊠Adelitaâs memory deserved better. Kai deserved better. She couldnât do this. She couldnât face herself. She had to stop this. Adriana pulled at her restraints again and, to her surprise, they broke. It seemed that making her more human stopped the demon magic from working quite so well. What a loophole. However, when she tried to stand, her body was too weak and she dropped to the floor, still contained in the Devilâs Trap. Her eyes lifted to look up at Kelly, her hand filled with blood. All she had to do was say the incantation and put that blood in her mouth and it would all be over. âKelly⊠PleaseâŠâ
The things she did... It was a good thing that Meg wasn't stupid enough to expect any gratitude from the single most ungrateful (even for a demon) person she'd ever had the misfortune of knowing. Either way, if Adriana was going to go human, it shouldn't have been with human blood being forced down her throat. If that evil bitch wanted to make gooey human heart eyes at her angel, then whatever but being kidnapped by said angel? Well, it skipped a few steps. She might not have the physically broken and twisted soul of a demon after but Meg was pretty sure the memories of tortuous days past would still linger. Besides... Like she'd told Rowena, who didn't want to be owed a favour by their quote-unquote pain in the ass?
Okay so she was definitely glossing over the fact that she'd tracked Adriana down, sought out a very powerful witch, painted up her pretty meatsuit bloody and was gifted an angel blade from her own angel- all to rescue her. Or whatever. The details were annoying. Either way, she'd managed to make her grand and totally badass entrance only to hesitate. What? It wasn't exactly your regular Christmas card scene. The crying, the pleading. She'd never seen this happen before. Heard about it maybe but witnessed it in the borrowed flesh? Not so much.
âAm I interrupting something? I'm sorry, it's just Adriana forgot to leave a note and well, she hasn't update her Snap story in forever so---,â she canted her head- she recognised the redhead angel, the one who'd known Castiel and told her that she'd loved Adriana as a human (Kelly, that was her name). But there'd be time for catch up later, âAdiĂłs.â She'd lifted her shirt high enough that the angel-ousting sigil Rowena had drawn for her, on her was on display in all its bloody glory before pressing her palm to it. The whole dramatic light thing was a little much but who was more extra than heaven's own? Now, with Kelly gone, her eyes narrowed towards Adriana and her demonic babysitter, her grip tightening on the angel blade as she made her move forward.
